Best Things About Splatoon 2’s Octo Expansion

I 100%’d the Octo Expansion, and let me say, it was absolutely amazing. It is definitely video game DLC done right.

1 It offers a whole new Story Mode that is significantly better than Octo Canyon

The octo expansion is just hero mode but better in every way.

2 The stages have way more variety than in Octo Canyon

3 It’s very challenging

Even as someone who has gotten to S+ in all Ranked Modes, I still struggled quite a bit.

It wasn't too challenging but inner agent 3 was a nice challenge

4 If you complete it, you get to play as an Octoling online

Plus, one of the hair styles for the Octoling Boy is the Afro so I can finally play as Bob Ross!

5 The Soundtrack

This soundtrack is incredibly catchy and perfectly fits the atmosphere of the setting

The music is amazing although I do like splatoon 1 music more.

6 Completing all levels without help from Marina earns the player a lot of exclusive outfits

7 The Final Boss is significantly better than in Octo Canyon

Plus, the cutscenes in it are AWESOME

8 It has a story with way more depth than Octo Canyon

The main antagonist actually does something that could significantly impact Inkopolis, not just stealing some power source

9 It offers more character development than the series has ever offered before

10 The Octolings’ AI is actually competent
