Top 10 Best Main Characters from Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 isn't as good as the first one, but it still has great characters. But let's specifically talk about the MAIN characters.
The Top Ten
1 Rocket Raccoon Rocket Raccoon is a fictional superhero appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. Created by writer Bill Mantlo and artist Keith Giffen, the character first appeared in Marvel Preview #7. In the Marvel Cinematic Universe, he is portrayed by Bradley Cooper.

Rocket is just as awesome as ever! Once again, he has the best lines in the entire movie! He doesn't take crap from anyone and goes by his own rules! He is one of my favorite characters in all of Marvel! I remember this one scene where Rocket was attacking the ravagers in a forest. I thought that was very cool and very funny at the same time. Definitely a master with weapons! The only nitpick I have is that if it wasn't for him stealing the batteries, the gold people wouldn't have been after them. And he didn't really give a good enough explanation as to why he stole them. Rocket is an awesome character regardless!

Rocket, seriously he is really cute, strong, funny, smart, expert,...
His intelligence shown in volume 2 is great that how he uses his devices and stuns all opponents. And the speciality is that how he he talks with groot and role playing, rocket you rock...

He doesn't give a damn about who you are, he'll just whop your ass.

He will always be number one.

2 Yondu Yondu Udonta, or simply Yondu, is a fictional character appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. In the Marvel Cinematic Universe, he is portrayed by Michael Rooker.

"I'm Mary Poppins, y'all! " Yondu was a very enjoyable character in the movie! More so than in the original! I didn't even really care for him in the first Guardians of the Galaxy movie, but I absolutely loved him in this movie! He is a straight up awesome guy! There was this one scene where he was killing a bunch of ravagers by using his arrow. That was my absolute favorite scene! And I love seeing him work with Rocket! They make such a great team! This is another great example of character development! We get to know more about Yondu in this movie! He even helps out the Guardians in the climax! Michael Rooker totally nails this performance! I enjoyed him the most out of all the other characters! This was an absolute surprise!

Ok... Groot and Starlord will always be #1 to me, but I have to make an exception this time... Especially after watching Youtube channel HISHE (How It Should Have Ended) show him livinglife as Mary Poppins (go on their channel and search it up)...

Although Yondu isn't even in my top five Marvel characters, he is Mary Poppins, y'all.

3 Peter Quill Star-Lord is a fictional superhero appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. The character, created by Steve Englehart and Steve Gan, first appeared in Marvel Preview #4. Chris Pratt portrays the character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe beginning with the 2014 live action film Guardians of the Galaxy, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 and Avengers: Infinity War. He will also reprise the role in the fourth Avengers film. Wyatt Oleff portrays a young Peter Quill in the first two Guardians of the Galaxy films.

Peter Quill/Starlord is the most developed character in this movie! I liked him in the first movie, but in this one we learn more about him! Something that this movie does great is character development. And Peter's development is a perfect example! He also has great motivations! His motivation for fighting the villain of the movie is just so great! He also has some pretty great and funny lines! I also thought his relationship with Gamora was developed in a perfect way. Peter once again shows that he is a great leader and a great hero!

I agree Yondu surprisingly stole the show with his story of redemption, even more than baby groot. However Peter really shined as the lead with his story arc, especially in the final act of the film.

I really like Peter in both movies because A) Marvel did an EXCELLENT job with the romance between him and Gamora ; ) and 2) he has an interesting backstory with his dad... No spoilers but once you see it(if haven't already) I promise you will LURV it. (Except for Draxs jokes... Cringe)

Chris Pratt gave an awesome performance as star lord

4 Drax the Destroyer Drax the Destroyer is a fictional character appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. In the Marvel Cinematic Universe, he is portrayed by Dave Bautista.

Drax is a lot funnier in this movie than he was in the first one! He gets some pretty hilarious lines once in a while! However, I felt like he was completely wasted in the film. Yes, he's funny, but he barely does anything to to help out. Also, even though I just complimented him on his humor, some of his dialogue is kind of childish. He makes penis jokes, turd jokes, and nipple jokes. It's almost as if the script was written by a 5 year old! And that's a problem I have with the film. The jokes are kind of hit or miss. There are funny jokes but there also jokes that make me cringe. And some of them, especially the ones from Drax, seem to drag on. He kept on calling Mantis ugly (which she's not) and I was getting tired of that. But I still thought Drax was a pretty decent character in the film. But compared to what he was like in the first movie, this was disappointing.

As a made up joke, The Mickey Mouse from Mickey Mouse Clubhouse or Disney Junior are the ones who wrote penis jokes for Drax to do it!

It look like someone hired 3 to 5 year olds to write the script! Imagine if the movie was adding the words like dookie, doodie, poopy, caca, wee wee, potty, doodoo, and throw tantrums like toddlers

"Ahhahhahhahhahhahhahhahhahhah! She just told everyone your deepest darkest secrets! You must be so embarrassed!

5 Baby Groot

Merchandise galore! That's all he is! They take advantage of Baby Groot's cuteness and profit off of it! I'll admit though, he actually is pretty helpful. He even does more things than Drax. And yeah, Groot is pretty adorable. But that's most of his character! I guess I'm glad that he didn't turn out to be another Jar Jar Binks, but Baby Groot is an overrated character.

Easily the best character and a highlight of the movie. Whoever animated him deserves all the credit in the world for adding so much personality just through gestures and faces.

I don't like how his role was diminished, but he's still cute as heck

He deserves to be higher up on the list.

6 Nebula Nebula is a fictional character appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. In the Marvel Cinematic Universe, she is portrayed by Karen Gillan.

If you forgot who Nebula was, she is Gamora's sister. She was a pretty forgettable character in the first movie. I totally forgot she even existed before I saw the sequel. But she has a bigger role in this movie. We actually get to see Gamora and her spend time together. And we learn more about her character through some well written character development. The only thing I find annoying about her is the way she talks. Karen Gillan does an excellent job at what she's supposed to do, but Nevbla's voice just seems kind of weird. But I actually found Nebula to be a very memorable character in this movie!

I loved her in the first movie and I loved her even more in this one!

One of the best characters in Marvel!

7 Gamora Gamora is a fictional character appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. Created by Jim Starlin, the character first appeared in Strange Tales #180. In the Marvel Cinematic Universe, she is portrayed by Zoe Saldana.

Gamora, played by Zoe Saldana, is a very tough and serious character. She has very great fighting moves and helps out a lot. In this movie, she is shown to really care about the other Guardians. Near the end of the movie, she was willing to save Peter and refused to leave without him. And when Peter first meets his father, Gamora says that he should spend time with him. Although, if Gamora listened to Peter in that scene, the whole movie wouldn't happen. Also, we find out in this movie that Gamora can dance! She is so cool!

8 Mantis

Mantis is hot! I don't care what Drax says. She is gorgeous! She is one of the hottest Marvel characters ever! I'm not kidding! So beautiful! She also has an amazing power! She can sense other people's emotions! She also worked with Ego by helping him fall asleep. I'm glad that she joined the Guardians! She is an absolutely great character! I also love the scenes involving her and Drax. Those were pretty hilarious! Mantis is definitely a very interesting and attractive character!

9 Ego

Ego aka Peter Quill's father was a much more interesting character than I thought he would be. I can't say much about him for spoiler reasons, but I thought he was pretty awesome. The scenes where he is bonding with his son are very fun to watch. There was a part where they tossing a ball of light kind of like how a father and son play catch together with a regular ball on Earth. Kurt Russel was a perfect choice to play Ego. I also like how they used CGI to make him look young in the beginning. That's the third time they did something like that in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Ego is a great villain. I was so surprised when he said something like, "It killed me to put that tumor in her head." I think the main goal of a villain is to just hate them as much as they can make you, and I hate this villain so much more than other villains.

Ego is like a human black widow

10 Taserface

I don't really have much of an explanation for this one. He's just really cool. He's one of the ravagers in the film. I don't necessarily like the ravagers but Taserface really stood out. Plus, his name is hilarious!
