Michael Jackson is arguably the greatest artist to have ever existed. His “Thriller” album was the greatest selling album of all time, and the King of Pop had fans and sold out stadium shows in places many artists will never see. He is one of few artists to ever be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame twice, and he is the most awarded recorded artist in the history of pop music.

The battle for the #2 all-time spot between MJ and Ol' Blue Eyes is a fascinating one. Both were not only the biggest American stars of their respective eras, but they were both also the biggest star in the world.

Mike you earned your place and deserve it for eternity long live the king enough said I don't have to explain when it's about MJ we all know how much talent this guy had.

2 Elvis Presley Elvis Aaron Presley (January 8, 1935 – August 16, 1977) was an American singer and actor. Dubbed the "King of Rock and Roll", he is regarded as one of the most significant cultural icons of the 20th century. Elvis has sold more than double the number of records that MJ has sold, and Elvis also has more #1 singles and more #1 albums; all of this during an era when the potential record-buying market was much smaller. In fact, in USA sales, MJ is only the #7 selling music artist of all time, he is not even ahead of Billy Joel.

Any list like this that does not have Elvis Presley at #1 is incorrect, and ignorant of history.

Michael Jackson spent his life "wishing" he was Elvis Presley.

Michael is thousand times better than this...

3 Frank Sinatra Francis Albert "Frank" Sinatra (December 12, 1915 – May 14, 1998) was an American singer, actor, and producer who was one of the most popular and influential musical artists of the 20th century. He is one of the best-selling music artists of all time, having sold more than 150 million records worldwide.

Fran k and MJ were both International stars of the first order. MJ sold more records than Frank, primarily because the record market was so much larger during his era.
However, Frank was a beacon of light during the dark years of WW2, and his post-war "Bobby Soxer" fandom became the basis of teenage culture right up until the present.
Frank also had a fine movie career, including Oscar nods, which more than eclipses MJ's groundbreaking video productions.

I'd like to see him get in the ring against Holly Holm or Ronda Rousey.
