182 Tuomas Holopainen Tuomas Holopainen Tuomas Lauri Johannes Holopainen (born 25 December 1976) is a Finnish songwriter, multi-instrumentalist musician (but mainly keyboardist) and record producer, best known as the founder, leader, keyboardist and songwriter of symphonic metal band Nightwish. He also studied jazz and classical styles.
183 Kyo Kyo Kyo is a Japanese musician, poet and singer-songwriter. He is best known as the vocalist of the metal band Dir en grey. He has been with the band since its inception in 1997 and was formerly in La:Sadie's.

His range in singing, screeching, and growling blows me away. Then, just as I think that his vocals couldn't get any better, he adds an indescribable amount of emotion; anger, hatred, sorrow, hopelessness, who knows what else. That's what makes him a great vocalist and artist and what makes him one of the best in the world.

Kyo's vocal range and versatility along with his pure expressive emotion put into his performances makes him without a doubt the best I've heard.

WAY more range than Jackson! Don't get me wrong Jackson was a good singer but really!? Number 1? You people need to listen to MORE music like Dir en Grey! - MeowMix

Genius. God of all music. Jackson? Haha - tenthsage

184 Rod Stewart Rod Stewart Roderick David "Rod" Stewart is a British rock singer-songwriter. Born and raised in London, he is of Scottish and English ancestry.

An unusual addition to what seems to be the 'X' facter all over again. Rod is one of many highest selling artists who would have given up if he appeared infront of Simon Cow, not sounding like a squeeky clean soul singer. Rod is one of those who reflect society and life with all it's grit and originality like Johney Rotten, Iggy Pop,Bowie and many more worldwide who would not exist if they had to sell out on the 'X' Factor What would music be like if everyone tried to sound the same; I can see from vocalist charts that that has already happened; so sad. One of the best artist of all time...

Best singers all over the pond ever

Simply the best

185 Hyde (L'arc-en-Ciel)

Hyde has an amazing vocal range... And the quality of his voice is just something that is perfect not only for rock music but also for any genre of music. Listening to him blows me away...

With his amazing near-4-octave range (low E in Evergreen to High-High A in Hitomi no Junin) and rich velvety voice, Hyde ought to have been more widely-appreciated by the rest of the World!

Low and sensual, high notes with a strong vibrato, powerful ballads or fast rock songs and so on. It's all the same, he has the best voice. with a sense of interpretation that can't be better.

He has such amazing wide-range long-reach beautiful voice that makes me think that his voice is really a God sent. Lucky me to hear that kind of voice!

186 Kim Jonghyun

He is the best singer ever! He is not just perfect on looks but also in his high and low note. He is currently the lead vocal of Korean boy group, Shinee He can dance perfectly and his vocal can't be defeat. He can sing every genre of song you can ever imagine! Name it, "ballad" "pop" "poprock" and of course he can "rap" too! So, its never a waste to vote for him, Love, JongSyu

He is the best singer I had ever seen, with his long note & strong, soft voice that will make you die. If you didn't hear his voice yet just go to YouTube and write ( kim jonghyun so goodbye ). Then you will fell in love with him.

He has a very large range and the ability to hold high notes for a long time. On a variety show he demonstrated his range. Without any warm up he was able to hit every note on the key board and could probably have kept going. His voice also has a nice and unique tone that can be easily recognized.

I LOVE HIM AND HIS VOICE. He's a great dancer too. SHINee hwaiting! ♥♥

Cool man with cool voice!!! Really good bassist! By the way, he can play the guitar very good! Really cool man!

The only man that beats out James Brown, Sting's voice is glorious on so many levels; not to leave out the fact that he plays some of the best bass lines while he sings in The Police.

Without doubt, the greatest songwriter and most beautiful male voice of all time.

Sting at 145th place?

188 Mohammad Rafi Mohammad Rafi Mohammed Rafi was an Indian playback singer and one of the most popular singers of the Hindi film industry.

Rafi is the best, legend of legends can sing any type of song with ease, he can surf from high to low with ease. Equally melodious voice, well balanced with right base and high range. His diction is fantastic, you may feel every word. 32 years after his death he has more admirers than anyone else. New singers are still using his techniques and try to copy to show their talent. Incomparable. A god sent angel.

The most talented singer to be seen! He has an amazing versatile voice... He can sing a great variety of songs like classical, bhajans, melody etc..
He has a golden voice which makes him the most beloved one in our hearts!

Had he born in the era of globalization... The entire world would have understood what the words Mohammad Rafi mean? He is simply the best.

190 Neil Young Neil Young Neil Percival Young is a Canadian singer-songwriter and musician, producer, director and screenwriter.

Neil probably wouldn't make it to the second round on the Voice or American Idol, but I could listen to him all day. The great songwriting is a big part of it, of course, but listening to him is kind of like listening to an old friend. You know right away it's him, you know what to expect, and there's something really comforting in that.

Four Strong Winds... One of the best songs I've heard in years

I can't understand why he hasn't attracted more votes. Incredible voice!

Brutal

191 Andy Biersack Andy Biersack

What? 233? Andy is one of the best singers I've ever heard! Justin Bieber is ahead of him? Andy and Ronnie Radke are the best singers in my opinion. I think it takes being able to scream and sing to be a good singer. And to also write awesome lyrics which both of them do! Andy biersack

Such an inspiration. His voice is so unique and he has saved so many people. I love you Andy and you will never understand how much you have done for people.

It takes training to scream like he does an he nails it

How is Justin Bieber in front of him like get out

192 Rick James Rick James

Rick James was a great pop singer. He surprisingly sang ballads better than anticipated from a pop punk-Funk star.

Top 10 entertainer of all-time.

193 George Harrison George Harrison George Harrison was an English guitarist, singer, songwriter, and music and film producer who achieved international fame as the lead guitarist of the Beatles.

George Harrison is severely underrated. I hear him on songs like "my sweet lord", "here comes the sun", and "while my guitar gently weeps" and all I can do is listen and take in his great voice

This is not fair on George, he should be up there with the best of them

He sang a song for Bangladesh so he deserves better

Zayn Malik is above George Harrison? Are you kidding me?! - olliv

I don't know why he wasn't on the list

I am a total fan of One Direction! Louis and Zayn's voice just seem to stand out in the band. Well, also Niall but Harry And Liam both had too of a similar voice.

He's just the perfect singer

197 Jack Bruce Jack Bruce John Symon Asher "Jack" Bruce was a Scottish musician, singer and songwriter known primarily for his contributions to the British supergroup Cream, which also included guitarist-singer Eric Clapton and drummer Ginger Baker.

Vocalist and bassist of cream. Indescribable voice, nothing like it.

198 Smokey Robinson Smokey Robinson William "Smokey" Robinson, Jr. is an American singer-songwriter, record producer, and former record executive.

This list is a joke. How can you listen to "The Tracks Of My Tears", "Crusin "," The Tears of a Clown", "I Second That Emotion", "Being With You ", etc., and not rate Smokey Robinson higher. Do you have EARS?
