Best Male Singers

161 Julian Lennon
162 Tobias Sammet Tobias Sammet Tobias Sammet is a German metal musician, best known as the vocalist and primary songwriter of the power metal band Edguy, as well as the founder, main singer and bassist of the metal opera Avantasia.

Very addictive voice. Tobi is a master - great tenor, long sustain, beautiful screams. My fave songs - Nailed to the wheel, Sacrifice, Mysteria (by Edguy). - Metal_Treasure

163 Eddie Vedder Eddie Vedder Eddie Vedder is an American musician, singer and songwriter best known as a member of the rock band Pearl Jam, with whom he performs lead vocals and is one of three guitarists.

Best voice! Should certainly be on the top 10! I go to tons of concerts and his solo concert with just him up there singing and playing the guitar was one of the most incredible concert experiences ever! Totally pulls you in with his depth and unbelievable voice! People vote for Eddie... His voice deserves the top 10 without a doubt! Just go see his solo concert and you will see... I promise!

not only is he a powerful baritone, but he's incredibly expressive - vwade8

Eddie Vedder is THE package. He's got range, soul, and lyrical skill. Yet RAPPERS like Eminem and Usher are ahead of him. Usher uses autotune, which should immediately disqualify him.

Just listen to one of Pearl Jam's songs and you'll understand the frustration of Eddie being so low on this list.

164 Serj Tankian Serj Tankian Serj Tankian is a Lebanese-born Armenian-American singer-songwriter, composer, multi-instrumentalist, record producer, poet, and political activist.

If you've an appreciation for voices, listen to something by System of a Down. Look, it's fine if you dislike that genre, but his voice is nothing short of flabbergasting. I'm confident anyone can appreciate this man's talent. In that vein, Shavo Odadjian also of System of a Down.

He is the best on the world! Enough said

Are you kidding me? He's the best singer ever in my opinion. Just like Michael Jackson, you can always recognize his voice because it's so beautiful and unique. Serj deserves a higher spot on the list. People don't know real talent, smh

HE DESERVES TO BE IN AT LEAST THE TOP TEN!

166 Jason Mraz Jason Mraz

umm... hello. Jason Mraz's new song 'I'm Yours' has swept across the world like a tsunami. His unique style of singing is incomparable to other male singers. His songs all delve deep into what life is all about. Even before he struck worldwide fame with the aforementioned song, almost all his shows were sold out. What else needs to be said?

He should be the best singer ever in the world I think... But I wonder why he is down beneath this list? His voice always makes my days become lighter... And he is quite famous... Please vote for him... I'm a big fan of Jason Mraz...

Yes, I actually liked I'm Yours before radio played it to death. But that is not to diminish Jason, who is a terrific singer/songwriter with other great songs like I Won't Give Up and Living in the Moment. He deserves much higher, really.

Jason is PERFECTION. Amazingly soothing voice, meaningful and beautiful lyrics, fantastic melody. What else do you need. He is, at the moment the best singer in the world bar none.

167 Tom Jones Tom Jones Sir Thomas Jones Woodward is a Welsh singer known by his stage name Tom Jones. He became one of the most popular vocalists to emerge from the mid-1960s.

I have seen Sir Tom Jones 137 times in Concert and the man known as "The Voice" has the strongest, most versatile voice that could sing ANY genre that I have ever heard Live and that includes Elvis, Sinatra, Sammy Davis Jr, Michael Jackson, Englebert, McCartney, Joel, Elton, Buble etc

Anytime I've heard Sir Tom sing with another male vocalist, he always makes them sound very inferior. If this was a knockout battle Sir Tom would be much higher up this list, if not at the top!

After all is he not called "The Voice" for nothing!

He should be in the top ten

What is with people putting Rappers on this list. Rapping is totally different from singing.

169 Tim McGraw Tim McGraw Samuel Timothy "Tim" McGraw is an American singer, songwriter and actor. He has been married to singer Faith Hill since 1996, and is the son of the late baseball player Tug McGraw. McGraw has released fourteen studio albums.

My favorite singer of all the time. Rest in peace.

171 Tim McIlrath Tim McIlrath Timothy James "Tim" McIlrath is an American punk rock musician. He is the lead singer, rhythm guitarist, songwriter and co-founder of the American punk rock band Rise Against.

If you want to hear the sound of bliss coming from an inspirational punk rock band, then look up Rise Against. You will soon find them on your phone playing nonstop. They inspire many and save many. This may be a punk rock band, but they can be enjoyed by anyone, even if they do not even like rock. He has a voice like no other and supports worthwhile causes also. Listen and you will soon find yourself falling in love with Rise Against and Tim McIlrath.

His voice box is reinforced by steel and his vocal chords are made of lightning bolts.

Seeing him so low just proofs that this list hasn't to do anything with skill but just how well known you are.

172 Philip Bailey
173 Oliver Sykes

Wasn't he a character in Oliver Twist?

174 Harry Nilsson

His range and purity of sound are unequaled

In the mid 80s he had the best rock/blues voice heard perhaps before or since. People claim he imitated Plant which is true but was later on. Seems like so many are trying to imitate Coverdale nowadays, not necessarily Plant, which is praise enough!

How could this guy slip under the radar? Amazing vocalist!

Amazing voice better than elvis or elton for sure

the best

176 Johnny Mathis

One can never get his voice mixed up with any other singer. He is so smooth and has an incredible range. As we age the younger crowd doesn't even know the names of the greatest singers of the recent past. I happen to know Connie Francis personally, but when I ask young people under 25 years old who she is none of them know!

Can't believe that our wonderful Johnny Mathis isn't up at the top - at 81 and still playing to packed theatres, I wonder how many of these younger so-called singers will still be around after 60+ years in the business. He is the best and actually has a "voice" which is more than can be said of some of the previous 177 names!

Johnny Mathis compared to Eminem! Come on!

177 Ian Gillan Ian Gillan Ian Gillan is an English singer and songwriter. He originally found success as the lead singer and lyricist for Deep Purple, and the original singer on the rock opera concept album Jesus Christ Superstar by Andrew Lloyd Webber, where Gillan had the leading role (Jesus Christ).

This guy is very talented - his singing and screams are legendary. The singer of Deep Purple deserves more than #655... Come on. - Metal_Treasure

Brilliant voice

178 Michael Hutchence Michael Hutchence Michael Kelland John Hutchence (22 January 1960 – 22 November 1997) was an Australian musician and actor. He was a founding member, lead singer and lyricist of rock band INXS from 1977 until his death in 1997.
