Best Male Solo Ballad Performances of All-Time

This is intended for songs and performances that have really stood the test of time, several decades. It's meant to focus on the song and singing more than music. Obviously there are many potential candidates worthy of consideration and obviously many regular users of this site aren't aware of many or any of these. Nor do I pretend to have a vast knowledge. This original list is a starting point to try something a little different if anyone's interested. Please add, considering the concept, vote, remix... Etc.

23 Yesterday - Paul McCartney

Sure, I'd agree it "qualifies", a great, phenomenal song - covered several times by soloists, and Paul's renditions should be given the definitive credit whether it's a "performance" with our without the rest of The Beatles. As originally recorded, this really does present as much more a "solo" effort than a group piece. And given its overall importance -- thanks for adding it, and to any others who also posted some of the first great additions to this list.

Not sure if this qualifies, although he has actually performed this far more often as a solo act than he did when he was a Beatle.

24 Darling Be Home Soon - John Sebastian
25 My Way - Robbie Williams
