Top Ten Mario Kart: Super Circuit Songs

The top ten songs in Mario Kart: Super Circuit. With that being said here is the list.

The Top Ten

1 Rainbow Road Rainbow Road

If you ask to me. Mario Kart Super Circuit is one of the most underrated games of all time (maybe I should add this opinion in my unpopular opinions list), and it has the third best soundtrack in the series, and that says quite a lot. When people say the gameboy advance doesn't have a great sound, this game along with Megaman Zero 3, and Mario and Luigi superstar saga, are the proofs that it's not entirely true. The rainbow road of super circuit is not only my second favorite track is the game, but also have extremely catchy music that rivals a lot of the rainbow roads songs. - Eclipsmon

Definitely one of the best songs in Mario Kart: Super Circuit. I'm actually not entirely sure wether this, Cheese Land or Sunset Wilds is the best song but in the end, I am sure that this is the definite best song of this game. Rainbow Roads are the type of courses that are epic finales with emotional and/epic melodies and this is one of my personal favourite Rainbow Road themes actually, partly becauce it combines emotion and epicness. I downright love the melody! It just sounds so awesome. - darthvadern

2 Sunset Wilds

Sunset Wilds is like the only desert course in the entire Mario Kart series with a pretty epic song. This is my favourite course in the game due to the great music, background and the whole day/night cycle. This song just sounds so epic. It's incredibly western and epic combined and it really feels as if you're racing in the late afternoon/evening. This was incredibly close to being number #1, but I still think Rainbow Road is just slightly better. - darthvadern

Dry Dry Ruins and Bone Dry Dunes are pretty damn epic too, and I might prefer them over Sunset Wilds honestly, but hey, it's my opinion. - Eclipsmon

Sunset wilds is my favorite track in Super Circuit, and I absolutely want this track to be remade in HD, with the same threatment as cheese land and ribbon road in order to look less flat. While not my favorite music in the game, it is a pretty joyful music that fits very well. - Eclipsmon

3 Cheese Land Cheese Land

The most up-beat theme of the songs in this game probably, at least in my opinion. The melody just sounds pretty happy and just really fun. Nothing serious, just really somewhat paradise-like. Hard to describe what this song is like but that should sum up how I feel about it. - darthvadern

Very catchy. - Eclipsmon

4 Sky Garden

Sky Garden is another relatively epic soundtrack, although this, Sunset Wilds and Rainbow Road were the only epic tracks in the game ironically. This is another great melody song that fills you with determination (referance somewhat intended) and it really fits as a third course in a cup (even though this course is ironically the second one of the Lightning Cup). It's pretty cool also that this soundtrack was the only one of the DS remixes that was actually better than the original. 4th place for this. - darthvadern

This is the best theme in the entire game and one of the best in the series. This music fill me with so much joy, that sometime I shed a tear while listenning to it. Not only that, but sky garden is already my third favorite track in this game. - Eclipsmon

5 Snow Land

The happiest and most "christmassy" of these songs definitely. Also haters, stop complaining about the name! Unoriginal? Well take a look at Cheese Land. Just as unoriginal hypocrites! Anyways, this song is incredibly happy. I could imagine this song when walking around in the snow in a day in December. A great one. - darthvadern

Eh. I never cared about originality of the track's names. Except in Super Mario Kart, where they just add a number and keep the same background. - Eclipsmon

This is the most happy go lucky witner music of the series. Another track that would be cool as a remake by the way. - Eclipsmon

6 Ribbon Road

Seriously this music fits so well with Ribbon Road. Like I could imagine myself maybe being tiny in someone's playroom and racing around, with this music. It actually really fits. Too bad the remix in MK8 was ruined tons. This is also a happy theme, but there's also some mysteriousness mixed into it as well. While not top five, it's certainly top six. Great song. - darthvadern

Before, I used to say that every tracks in Mario Kart 8 except Wario Stadium, made the same theme as the original, or a better version of it. Now that I remember this track exist, I think this remix is actually worse, but unlike Wario Stadium, I wouldn't it ruined it. It's just in a different style. - Eclipsmon

Pretty decent overall but not in my top 10 of this game. - Eclipsmon

7 Bowser Castle Bowser Castle

Normally, while I love the Bowser's castle tracks themselves, they often have a music that prioritize ambiance over making the music more upbeat. The bowser castles of Super Circuit are not the best tracks of the series or even the game, but after Mario Kart 8, they have the best Bowser Castle theme in the series. It's epic, up beat, and even have some ambiance. It's so good, that it's my third favorite music in the game, and all the remix of the other games are worst than it except 7, which is good because it's more loyal to the original. Maybe this music is really good thanks to the limitations of the GBA? Who knows? - Eclipsmon

This is one of the most iconic songs from this game. Probably because literally every single one of the mario kart games with retro tracks had at one Bowser's Castle track from this game excluding MK8 so there have been lots of remixes on this one. The DS remix was screwed up so badly, the Wii remake didn't stay very true to the original but I like it the most, and the 3DS version was like the Wii one but it stayed more true to the original. The original, overall is pretty great. The melody is somewhat spooky and interesting and a feeling hard to describe. Point is, it's pretty great. - darthvadern

8 Yoshi Desert Yoshi Desert

Yoshi Desert is one of the two desert tracks of this game the other one being Sunset Wilds. While the latter had a setting resembling Arizona and western a bit, Yoshi Desert went straight Egypt. Pyramids, sphynxs, even the music sounds so egyptian. So mysterious and and adventurous. Definitely worthy of this list! - darthvadern

Pretty good desert theme, but sunset wild is a bit better. - Eclipsmon

9 Shy Guy Beach / Cheep Cheep Island

This song is a hybrid between mystery and calmness. It's like you're on a beach on a very calm day, but there lurks a sense of adventure and mystery at the same time and it doesn't feel completely safe and that's what the courses in this game also are. Shy Guy Beach is a chill beach but with a pirate ship lurking in the background and Cheep Cheep Island is a small calm archipelago in the sunset..., with giant boss basses everywhere. Yeah it fits. And the song is pretty good. - darthvadern

Not my favorite honestly. However, it is pretty relaxing. - Eclipsmon

10 Lakeside Park

This is another relatively western theme although maybe a bit less. You know it's pretty much a mix between western and lakeside racing. It's incredibly adventurous and interesting and the beat is amazing. What else can I say about it? It's simply a great song. - darthvadern

Very good. I want a remake of this track eventually. - Eclipsmon

The Contenders

11 Title Theme

The best title theme in the series, by far! Like sky garden, I shed a tear when hear this song sometime because of the pure joy that comes from this song. - Eclipsmon

I personally don't see anything special about this theme although I enjoy it. It just doesn't sound very interesting to me. For me, the DS and 3DS title screens are the ones that shed my tear - darthvadern
