Best Mario Party 4 Boards

The Top Ten
1 Toad's Midway Madness

This board is surprisingly solid. Despite having two sets of infinites, it's relatively balanced and doesn't screw you over too much, like the gambling in Greedy Gala. The visuals are pretty nice and it's just a generally fine board to play.

2 Bowser's Gnarly Party

I don't know why everyone thinks this board is awful. Honestly it was pretty decent. While the alternating pathways can be a bit annoying, it's one of the more bearable infinites, as opposed to *cough*, roulette, *cough*. Bowser also makes the board interesting as he will force everyone to be mini, and will engage in a special Bowser minigame if you meet him while Mega. Overall a bit fun.

3 Boo's Haunted Bash

I thought it was playable. Although it is a bit random, I feel like there's a little more skill to it than the other boards. There are pathways that will only exist when you pass red boos, and since that's the criteria, you can actually kind of control when it's active. The background and music is pretty cool too. Overall the best board.

4 Shy Guy's Jungle Jam

Pretty in-offensive board. The boards in this game suffer from infinites, in other words, sections of a board that you're unable to leave by rolling naturally. The only boards without this kind of crap is Boo's Haunted Bash, and this board, Shy Guy's Jungle Jam. I've always liked the jungle theme and the music is kind of soothing. But unfortunately it's pretty basic.

5 Koopa's Seaside Soiree

Pretty bad board. I like the visuals but gameplay-wise it's not a fun time. The music is kind of frustrating, and there are two infinites, both of which we could've been without. The layout is pretty boring too. And the Koopa space, dude..., Remember the Koopa Bank from MP 1-3? Well this is that, but you don't earn coins when you land. What the FREAK?

Thank gosh the concept was fixed with Windmill Ville and Tycoon Town.

6 Goomba's Greedy Gala

This board is awful. Take the bad aspects of Wario's Battle Canyon and Mystery Land, and combine them! It's an island hopper where you have no control where you're going. It's a bit similar to Battle Canyon where you need to loop an island to leave it but even then it's luck that decide whether or not you will leave it. Just, awful.

Isn't Mario Party itself already enough of a gamble?
