Best Mario Party 7 Minigames

The Top Ten
1 Camp Ukiki

My favourite Mario Party 7 minigame is none other than Camp Ukiki, a duel minigame where you must reach the end before the other player on a platformer/parkour-styled level in the tree tops. This is definitely one of the harder platforming minigames we've had in Mario Party overall, as evident by the small platforms you must jump over, plus Mario Party 7's tight controls. However it's not Super Mario Sunshine-level of hard, but actually very satisfying. The jumps are hard but it feel rewarding when you nail them. Overall this is my favourite minigame.

2 Ghost in the Hall
3 Funstacle Course!
4 The Final Countdown

By far Mario Party 7's best battle minigame. This one has all of you standing on some platforms in the sky, and the platform consists of several smaller squares with numbers which decrease for every second or so. After one has gotten to 0, it will disappear. It's really exhilerating and fun which is why I put this one in the top three.

5 Spider Stomp
6 Tile and Error
7 Picture This
8 Gimme a Sign
9 Spin Doctor

Another really interesting duel minigame. Here you must get to the end of a level with narrow paths, but the real challlenge lies in corners, because those corners are rotating platforms with one opening and three fences. You need to pick the right of these in order to advance, and so on. Poor explanation but it's pretty unique!

10 Pogo-a-Go-Go
The Contenders
11 Fun Run

Besides one of the best songs in the game, the rest of the minigame is pretty darn amazing too! You're basically running upwards on a spiral tower, while also having to avoid obstacles like Spinies, falling platforms, etc. It's one of the original minigames for sure because at first you think you can juts run up with no problems but then the many different obstacles arise and avoiding them is always satisfying! I love this minigame!

12 Snow Ride

In this Free for All minigame, you're racing on snowboards and must be the first to reach the exit, and to be as quick as possible, you need to get through all the gates on the track without slowing down. Getting through the gates can be tricky as your snowboard is really fast and the gates aren't placed far from each other. So it requires a lot of reaction skill and it's pretty fun!

13 Deck Hands

Two battle minigames made it to the list, and one of them is actually the infamous Deck Hands. Yeah I'm serious. It's one of my favourite RNG minigames, as there's more to it than just simple bland luck as in minigames like Get a Rope or Vicious Vending. Here, you must collect a total of three cards and the one who gets the highest cards in total wins. It's such an exhilerating minigame because you never know what to actually expect. Plus the music gets me pumped up every time.

14 Warp Pipe Dreams

Here's the more luck-based but equally fun precursor to Mario Party 9's Player Conveyor. As a duel minigame, you need to choose the correct pipe to get closer and cloesr to the centre. It's a lot more fun than it sounds like, and that's saying something! I love it!

15 Hip Hop Drop

This is another one of those minigames where you need to press the right button to advance for several seconds. What sets this one apart is that you only get to know which button to press as soon as you've made it to the platform right before it. That makes it a little less addictive, but still fun!

16 Fish & Cheeps

One of the hardest, but also most fun duel minigames. Here you're standing on a bridge and must avoid the big Cheep Cheeps which are jumping up and down over the bridge. Avoiding them can be a hassle because sometimes there are so many jumping and you don't really know what to do. But that's what I love about this one!

17 Unhappy Trails

Here's the precursor to Super Mario Party's "Isthmus be the Way" and Mario Party 4's "Paths of Peril", and those are some of my favourite minigames ever honestly. As you might know, Mario Party 7 introduced 8-Player mode, where two players would take control of one Gamecube controller each (P1 the left half, P2 the right half, etc.). And in these minigames, two players would work together, or everyone would work agianst each other. My favourite of these minigames is Unhappy Trails, where one player needs to get to the middle to bring a key, then the other player continues the existing path to find a gem, and then you must get it back to the start. It's super fun and addictive trying to not fall into the water and so this is one of my favourites from this game.
