Best Mario Party 9 Minigames

The Top Ten
1 Peak Precision

By far one of the greatest Mario Party minigames of all time. It's not that it's super complex or interesting, just the fact that the execution of this simple yet addictive course is marvellous! You must press the correct buttons to get on top, similarly to Domino Effect in Mario Party DS. In fact it's pretty much the same thing except better graphics, music, and that you climb up a peak and not jump over dominos. It's also shorter, which makes it more replayable to get the best high-score possible, as it doesn't take as much time to restart. Overall, Peak Precision is absolutely amazing!

2 Manor of Escape

When Scooby-Doo meets Super Mario, you get this. Find the door that's right five-or-so times, and you win!

3 Skyjinks

I like platforming levels a lot, and Skyjinks is certainly a good one! It's definitely an improved version of Sick and Twisted from Mario Party 8, as now there don't pop up Bullet Bills from nowhere trying to hurt you, plus you get three lives, which prevents draws. I mean sure this minigame is really easy, but it's still fun platforming time!

4 Goomba Village
5 Chain Chomp Romp
6 Player Conveyor

This is the most unique minigame on the list! The entire level is a conveyor and the player must choose to right one to get to a pipe to get to another right conveyor until you're in the middle. Yeah it's really fun and unique, and I wouldn't see why anyone wouldn't love it. Why isn't it in the top three? Well, it's a little too easy once you figure out which way to go, but either way it's great!

7 Polar Extreme
8 Chain Event
9 Pit or Platter

What's that, an actually GOOD motion-controlled minigame? That's right, Pit or Platter nails in the motion controls category, and it feels absolutely natural to tilt, unlike SOME other minigames *cough*, Rumble Ruins, *cough*. Basically you must balance a ball on a disc and get it to touch certain parts of the disk that shines to get points. I hated this minigame as a kid, but I've grown to really love it overtime, especially after other worse motion-controlled minigames. It's really satisfying when you especially do nail points..., I just really love this one.

10 Toad and Go Seek

Oh yeah, I absolutely adore this minigame! It's easy, but the journey is incredibly amazing nevertheless and just the entire concept is really fun. You must find the house where a Toad is hiding in, and you get to see it in the intro cutscene, and then you need to find it yourself somewhere. I really like how big and inter-active this minigame is..., it really forces you to think about what you saw in the intro and then looking at where you are now. It's definitely one of the best minigames.

The Contenders
11 10 to Win

Probably one of the best minigames when it comes to RNG-ones. In fact it's probably my favourite luck-based minigame of all time, up there with Cardiators. Basically it's a card game and you can pick between "You, All, Rivals, 1st and Last". Depending on which card you pick, one of you will get points, and it can range from anywhere to 1 to 3. Basically, get 10 to win (pun intended). It's by far one of the most interesting RNG minigames (and even then some cards can be easily followed when they are scrambled in the beginning). The music helps too as it's really competitive and always keeps you on your toes.

12 Upwards Mobility

Not a particularly special minigame, but yet really fun. You must get to the top by jumping on bouncy pads, and there's checkpoints every now and then that prevents you from falling from the bottom. But..., it's really easy even without them, and pulling off huge leaps is quite satisfying. So yeah this one's pretty good too!

13 Zoom Room
14 Snow Go
15 Tuber Tug

Another addicting minigame on the same level as Peak Precision. Here you swing your Wii Remote down as many times as possible while holding down A and B, to harvest as many beetroots as possible. You might wonder why it isn't any higher..., well that's unfortunately because it's not very responsive. A lot of times the game just doesn't react to your motions and it can get a little frustrating unlike in Peak Precision when you just push buttons and it instantly responds. So yeah, a bit of a miss but still great!

16 Pizza Me, Mario

Who doesn't love Pizza? None! So who doesn't love a minigame based on pizza? Here all of you must make a pizza and each player must throw their respective toppings onto the pizza, and whoever throws them on each slice first wins. It's such a stupid idea, but such a fun one in execution. Why not just put the topping gently on the pizza? But this is why I love the minigame, plus it's addictive!
