Top Ten Best Massachusetts Sports Teams of All-Time
2012 start out promising as the team celebrated its 100th year at the most fabled stadium in all of Boston. Fenway Park. The team though didn't finish what it started. But though the team won only 69 games, they we're highlights like David Ortiz making yet another All-Star experience and Adrian Gonzalez winning the American League Player of the week twice and his teammate, Will Middlebrooks also won that award too. But 2013 was just around the corner.

Here's a team playing for the city of Boston that was rocked in April by the infamous Boston marathon bombing. The team was a band of brothers, for a simple cause to bring joy to the city of Boston. The offense was lead of course by future Hall of Famer David Ortiz, and along with Dustin Pedroia, and led by a pitching sensation known as Clay Buchholz, the Red Sox became only the second team in baseball history to win a World Championship after finishing last one year earlier.

This was the beginning of a dynasty. The season began when the Celtics needed a center to put the team over the top so Red Auerbach and searched and found that center Bill Russell, who had just completed his college career by leading the USA Men's Basketball team to the gold medal in the Summer Olympics. When Russell joined the team the whole face of the NBA change and for the next 12 seasons the Celtics would miss the NBA Finals once while winning a lot of championships.
