Martin_Canine
Artists that don't deliver anything but basics and don't stand out at all.

The Top Ten

1 Jonas Brothers Jonas Brothers

Pop rock without anything remotely memorable. Most of their songs sound the same and none of them are really catchy. - Martin_Canine

no

2 Black Veil Brides Black Veil Brides Black Veil Brides is an American rock band currently consisting of Andy Biersack (vocals), Jinxx (guitar), Jake Pitts (guitar), Christian Coma (drums) and Ashley Purdy (bass), that formed in 2006 in Ohio. ...read more.

They're actually one of the best emo bands. They have no slips, better lyrics and a more thought out overal concept in their music than most other bands of the emo subculture. - Martin_Canine

3 Pitbull Pitbull

His rapping is basic, and so are his house-pop songs. Every once in a while the choruses by guest artists are catchy. - Martin_Canine

Are you kidding? He's only plain awful! - PositronWildhawk

4 Iggy Azalea Iggy Azalea Amethyst Amelia Kelly, born June 7, 1990 known professionally as Iggy Azalea, is an Australian rapper, singer, songwriter, and model.

A basic rapper with some songs where the beats and/or the guest verses make them memorable but not amazing. - Martin_Canine

5 5 Seconds of Summer 5 Seconds of Summer 5 Seconds of Summer are an Australian pop-rock band from Sydney that formed in 2011. Her music was just a watered down version of R Kelly's music but without the amazing vocals of Kellz. - DaWyteNight

7 Flo Rida Flo Rida Tramar Lacel Dillard, better known by his stage name Flo Rida is an American rapper and pop music artist from Carol City, Florida. He is known for songs such as "Low", "Right Round", "Sugar", "Club Can't Handel Me", "Good Feeling", "Whistle", "Wild Ones", "My House" and "GDFR."

I don't care what anyone says this guy is awesome and makes fun songs. - DaWyteNight

Same as for Pitbull. His raps are absolutely basic and without wit, but the overall package is enough for partying. - Martin_Canine

8 Ludacris Ludacris Christopher Brian "Chris" Bridges, better known by his stage name Ludacris, is an American rapper, entrepreneur, and actor.

I know that he has been around for quite some time and propably has a lot of fans out there... but so far I have not heard anything by him that was above average. There are rappers who are not the most lyrical ones but still are great because they have a nice flow and a fun attitude (Missy Elliott for example, she just loves rapping and you can tell). But Ludacris... doesn't have anything distinctive about him. - Martin_Canine

9 Mariah Carey Mariah Carey Mariah Carey, born March 27, 1970, is an American singer, songwriter and actress. She is one of the biggest best-selling women in the music industry, with 18 number 1 records to her name. Remember when boybands had lots of catchy earworm songs? If you are into 90s and early 2000s pop, get an album by the Backstreet Boys and you have an entire CD full of pop pleasure.
I know that I have heard a handful of songs by One Direction, but none of them left any impression on me. - Martin_Canine

The Contenders

11 Papa Roach Papa Roach Papa Roach is an American rock band from Vacaville, California. Formed in 1993, their first major-label release was the triple-platinum album Infest.

Even though I see nu metal mediocre as a genre, there are some bands that stand out, but Papa Roach are not one of them. Also the riff to their most famous song is a straight rip-off of Iron Maiden's Genghis Khan. - kk2001

12 Silento Silento Richard Lamar Hawk, better known by his stage name Silentó, is an American rapper, singer, songwriter, record producer and actor. He is best known for his debut single "Watch Me", which reached number three on the Billboard Hot 100.

14 Beatrice Egli Beatrice Egli

She won the tenth season of the German edition of Pop Idol. Almost none of the winners had a long career, they had a hit single, maybe one successful album, and then disappear. But Egli had the advantage of being a schlager singer just at the time when there was a hype for that genre, so she indeed became a famous celebrity. But her music is absolutely nothing outstanding. Her voice is okay, but the songs are as average as can be. Andrea Berg and Helene Fischer (though I'm not much of a fan of the latter) have much more memorable songs. - Martin_Canine

15 Beyonce Beyonce Beyoncé Giselle Knowles-Carter, is an American singer and actress, who started out in the popular pop/r&b girl group Destiny's Child. 16 Metro Station Metro Station Metro Station is an American pop rock band that was formed in Los Angeles by Trace Cyrus and Mason Musso.

Funny thing is I just found out they are regarded as a scene band. Scene wasn't a thing over here mainly because MySpace wasn't a thing either. But Metro Station had a hit called Shake It and my stepsister was a fan of the band back then. I listened to their music, but actually they are not really outstanding. They are better produced than most scene bands and don't have any slips like many of them do... but nothing more. For every bad song by Blood on the Dance Floor there's also a good one, but Metro Station are always generic. - Martin_Canine

17 Michael Bolton Michael Bolton
18 Nicki Minaj
19 Limp Bizkit Limp Bizkit Limp Bizkit is an American nu metal band from Jacksonville, Florida, formed in 1994. Their lineup consists of Fred Durst, Sam Rivers, John Otto, and Wes Borland.

Takes the teenage angst to a whole new dumb level. A product of our time, a time we don't want to look back. It's a shame this was the band to essentially ruin Nu Metal for everyone. - cjWriter1997

The worst band ever, Fred Durst is an ass and has a whiny voice. - IronMaidenFan666

I don't think they are mediocre.
They have a very distinctive sound and are good to listen to when angry. - Martin_Canine

The group signed a joint record deal with Simon Cowell's label Syco Records and L.A.
23 Mark Medlock Mark Medlock

Also a winner of the German edition of Pop Idol. While he isn't really famous anymore, he has been around for a few years and a handful albums. He has an okay voice, and sung mediocre clean holiday party songs and cheesy heartbreak ballads. - Martin_Canine

24 Snoop Dogg Snoop Dogg Cordozar Calvin Broadus, Jr., ( born, October 20, 1971) known professionally as Snoop Dogg, is an American rapper and actor from Long Beach, California.

I know he is considered good and has a huge fanbase, but actually I don't really see the appeal. His raps are rather slow and he barely raises his voice, and he doesn't have that much of lyrical skills as well. So neither his lyrics nor his delivery is all too good. What he does have is a very unique voice, maybe that's what people like. He is not bad either... but not that outstanding in my opinion. - Martin_Canine

32 KISS KISS Kiss is an American hard rock band formed in New York City in January 1973 by Paul Stanley, Gene Simmons and the band's original manager, Lew Linet.

KISS are a great hard rock bands but I believe that they were the best on the Creatures of the Night album when Eric Carr was their drummer, this guy was the 80's version of John Bonham, just listen to I Love it Loud, this is pure metal and it's so badass.
People hate KISS for their well known songs but I think that everyone should listen to their full albums to really appreciate them. - IronMaidenFan666

Kiss are awesome.
Even though I don't own any of their albums, I listened to a few of them some time ago and that is really cool rock music.

Also @IronMaidenFan666: are they hated? They have a massive fanbase, positive reviews, and their music is considered a cult classic. Several rock fans like them. - Martin_Canine

YouTubers-turned-musicians who at first made fun pop rap, then changed in style to become sociocritical.
Obviously inspired by DatAdam, they lack that certain instinct of how to bring such topics up DatAdam have. While their attacks on modern society's superficiality are good at heart, they're also a bit clumsy. "You look at your cell phone" here, "all you want is likes" there. That's nowhere as gripping as DatAdam's desperate questions what society has come to and why people are so in love with themselves and with star craving.
No, ApeCrime aren't bad but they still need experience. Their fun pop was okay, but the sociocritic cyber hip hop is far from being as visceral as it needs to be. - Martin_Canine
