Artists that don't deliver anything but basics and don't stand out at all.
The Top Ten
1 Mariah Carey Mariah Carey, born March 27, 1970, is an American singer, songwriter and actress. She is one of the biggest best-selling women in the music industry, with 18 number 1 records to her name. She is regarded as a sex symbol through her songs and music videos, and she is "well known" for her over-the-top sexy poses and for having breast implants. She is also known to be a diva, and she is well known for her high-demands. She won 5 Grammys and starred in her documentary movie "Glitter." Mariah Carey started her fame by releasing her song, Vision of Love and also released her first album "Mariah Carey" but before that, in 1988, she accompanied Brenda K Starr, a rising pop singer in the 80s to Columbia ...read more.

Her music isn’t as unique as people say in my opinion. Not necessarily terrible, but not great either.

2 Beyonce Beyoncé Giselle Knowles-Carter, is an American singer and actress, who started out in the popular pop/r&b girl group Destiny's Child. They had multiple top 5 hits such as "No, No, No", "Say My Name", "Bills, Bills, Bills", "Survivor", "Independent Women", "Bootylicious", and "Jumpin', Jumpin" from 1999 to 2004. She’s okay, but again, nothing really special like her fans make her out to be.

3 Jonas Brothers The Jonas Brothers are an American pop rock band. Formed in 2005, they gained popularity from their appearances on the Disney Channel television network.

Pop rock without anything remotely memorable. Most of their songs sound the same and none of them are really catchy.

4 Aaliyah Aaliyah Dana Haughton was born on January 16th 1979 and died August 25th 2001. She was a dancer, an actress and an R&B singer. She was born in Brooklyn, New York, raised in Detroit, Michigan and died at Marsh Harbour, Bahamas. ...read more.

Her music was just a watered down version of R Kelly's music but without the amazing vocals of Kellz.

5 Pitbull Armando Christian Pérez, better known by his stage name Pitbull, is a Grammy (and Latin Grammy) winning Cuban-American rapper, songwriter and record producer.

His rapping is basic, and so are his house-pop songs. Every once in a while the choruses by guest artists are catchy.

Are you kidding? He's only plain awful!

I completely forgot about Pitbull.

6 Rihanna Robyn Rihanna Fenty is a Barbadian-American pop singer. Born in Saint Michael and raised in Bridgetown, she first entered the music industry by recording demo tapes under the direction of record producer Evan Rogers in 2003. She ultimately signed a recording contract with Def Jam Recordings after auditioning for its then-president, hip-hop producer and rapper Jay Z.

Remember when boybands had lots of catchy earworm songs? If you are into 90s and early 2000s pop, get an album by the Backstreet Boys and you have an entire CD full of pop pleasure.
I know that I have heard a handful of songs by One Direction, but none of them left any impression on me.

9 Young Thug Jeffrey Lamar Williams, better known by his stage name Young Thug, is an American rapper from Atlanta, Georgia. He became known for his commercial debut single 'Stoner', as well as other songs such as 'Check', 'Digits', and 'Best Friend' He's also known for making albums/mixtapes such as Barter 6, Slime Season 3, I'm Up, Jeffery, Beautiful Thugger Girls and So Much Fun.
10 Nicki Minaj
The Contenders
11 Beatrice Egli Beatrice Egli is a Swiss female singer and the winner of season 10 of the German music competition Deutschland sucht den Superstar. She is a singer of German Schlager music.

She won the tenth season of the German edition of Pop Idol. Almost none of the winners had a long career, they had a hit single, maybe one successful album, and then disappear. But Egli had the advantage of being a schlager singer just at the time when there was a hype for that genre, so she indeed became a famous celebrity. But her music is absolutely nothing outstanding. Her voice is okay, but the songs are as average as can be. Andrea Berg and Helene Fischer (though I'm not much of a fan of the latter) have much more memorable songs.

12 Iggy Azalea Amethyst Amelia Kelly, born June 7, 1990 known professionally as Iggy Azalea, is an Australian rapper, singer, songwriter, and model.

A basic rapper with some songs where the beats and/or the guest verses make them memorable but not amazing.

At least she invented her own Language one point for Iggy

13 Metro Station Metro Station is an American pop rock band that was formed in Los Angeles by Trace Cyrus and Mason Musso.

Funny thing is I just found out they are regarded as a scene band. Scene wasn't a thing over here mainly because MySpace wasn't a thing either. But Metro Station had a hit called Shake It and my stepsister was a fan of the band back then. I listened to their music, but actually they are not really outstanding. They are better produced than most scene bands and don't have any slips like many of them do... but nothing more. For every bad song by Blood on the Dance Floor there's also a good one, but Metro Station are always generic.

14 Limp Bizkit Limp Bizkit is an American nu-metal/rap metal/rock band from Jacksonville, Florida, formed in 1994. Their lineup consists of Fred Durst, Sam Rivers, John Otto, and Wes Borland. They're mostly known for their singles like Break Stuff, My Way, My Generation, Nookie, Eat You Alive, Rollin', and Take a Look Around... read more

The worst band ever, Fred Durst is an ass and has a whiny voice.

I don't think they are mediocre.
They have a very distinctive sound and are good to listen to when angry.

15 Flo Rida Tramar Lacel Dillard, better known by his stage name Flo Rida is an American rapper and pop music artist from Carol City, Florida. He is known for songs such as "Low", "Right Round", "Sugar", "Club Can't Handel Me", "Good Feeling", "Whistle", "Wild Ones", "My House" and "GDFR."

Same as for Pitbull. His raps are absolutely basic and without wit, but the overall package is enough for partying.

He is just really boring I like some club/party songs but he just does nothing.

I don't care what anyone says this guy is awesome and makes fun songs.

16 Migos Migos is an American hip hop trio from Lawrenceville, Georgia, founded in 2008. They are composed of three rappers known by their stage names Takeoff, Quavo and Offset.
17 Fifth Harmony Fifth Harmony was an American girl group based in Miami, composed of Ally Brooke, Normani Kordei, Dinah Jane, Lauren Jauregui, and previously, Camila Cabello until her departure from the group on December 18, 2016. The group signed a joint record deal with Simon Cowell's label Syco Records and L.A.
18 Taylor Swift Taylor Alison Swift is an American singer-songwriter. She was born on December 13, 1989, in Reading, Pennsylvania. Swift is best known for writing personal songs and has won 13 Grammy Awards... read more

She’s not bad. I actually think some of her songs are decent, but her voice is bland and gets boring pretty quickly, and her songwriting lacks variety.

19 Silento Richard Lamar Hawk, better known by his stage name Silentó, is an American rapper, singer, songwriter, record producer and actor. He is best known for his debut single "Watch Me", which reached number three on the Billboard Hot 100. Recently, he is also known for murdering his cousin and is currently in prison.

Pretty sure he was added for being terrible rather than mediocre.

Watch me whip whip

20 Black Veil Brides Black Veil Brides is an American rock band currently consisting of Andy Biersack (vocals), Jinxx (guitar), Jake Pitts (guitar), Christian Coma (drums) and Ashley Purdy (bass), that formed in 2006 in Ohio. In the beginning of their career, the band was heavily associated with the emo subculture, and had strong metalcore, screamo and alternative influences, however got more metal oriented over the years. Their songs usually carry a message of acceptance, believing in yourself and being individual and different. Among their most well known songs are "Knives and Pens", "Rebel Love Song", "In the End" and "Fallen Angels".

They're actually one of the best emo bands. They have no slips, better lyrics and a more thought out overal concept in their music than most other bands of the emo subculture.

21 Snoop Dogg Cordozar Calvin Broadus, Jr., (born October 20, 1971) known professionally as Snoop Dogg, is an American rapper, actor, record producer, and television personality from Long Beach, California.

I know he is considered good and has a huge fanbase, but actually I don't really see the appeal. His raps are rather slow and he barely raises his voice, and he doesn't have that much of lyrical skills as well. So neither his lyrics nor his delivery is all too good. What he does have is a very unique voice, maybe that's what people like. He is not bad either... but not that outstanding in my opinion.

22 Katy Perry Katheryn Elizabeth Hudson, professionally known by her stage name Katy Perry, was born on October 25, 1984 in Santa Barbara, California. She is a singer, songwriter, actress and an ambassador on one of the most popular companies of now, UNICEF.

23 Chris Brown Christopher Maurice "Chris" Brown (born May 5, 1989) is an American singer, songwriter, dancer and actor. Born in Tappahannock, Virginia, he was involved in his church choir and several local talent shows from a young age. He is most well known for his physical assault towards the singer Rihanna in 2009. He is also known for many hit singles, such as "Kiss Kiss", "Run It!", "Forever", "Deuces", "Look At Me Now", "Loyal", "Ayo", and "Back to Sleep".
24 Mark Medlock

Also a winner of the German edition of Pop Idol. While he isn't really famous anymore, he has been around for a few years and a handful albums. He has an okay voice, and sung mediocre clean holiday party songs and cheesy heartbreak ballads.

25 Coldplay Coldplay are a British pop rock band formed in 1996. The band consists of Chris Martin (lead vocalist and pianist), Jonny Buckland (lead guitarist), Guy Berryman (bassist) and Will Champion (drummer and backing vocalist). Manager Phil Harvey is often considered an unofficial fifth member. The band renamed themselves "Coldplay" in 1998. Before making their debut album, they recorded and released three EPs: Safety in 1998, Brothers & Sisters as a single in 1999, and The Blue Room in the same year. The Blue Room was their first release on a major label, after signing to Parlophone. ...read more.
