"What doesn't kill you only makes you...STRANGER! "
"Why so SERIOUS?!? "
"You wanna know how I got these SCARS? "
"Some men just want to watch the world BURN"
"You were a schemer...you had plans...and, well, look where THAT got you"
"Blow up an entire hospital, and no one BATS an eye...kill one person, AND EVERYONE LOSES THEIR MINDS"
"Madness, as you know, is like gravity; all it takes is a little PUSH"
"Now, now, let's not BLOW this out of proportion"
"Nothing in my pockets but knives and lint"
et cetera, et cetera, et cetera
Yes, as much as I hate to say it, his "emo" phase from Spider-Man 3 also counts as well
Not terribly accurate to the comics, and with one SERIOUSLY overdone British Gentleman accent at that, but as far as non-comic portrayals of THIS character are concerned, this one is easily deserving of its meme status when compared to most of the others
(insert joke about how I couldn't even recognize Thanos' actor in the movie due to him being literally MADE completely out of CGI effects here) In all seriousness, however, this is an absolutely amazing villain portrayal that, in reality, has almost never been even NEARLY matched by practically any other licensed superhero movie besides the Dark Knight Trilogy (and I'm saying this as someone who absolutely DESPISES the film's infamous character-disintegration twist ending myself)
Especially the spoof of it that Zurg does in Toy Story 2
If you thought that the "female empowerment" message of Wonder Woman 2017 was horribly overdone and pretentious, it's literally NOTHING compared to the one in this film (apparently, simply being female allows you to instantly master the Force without even having any sort of training whatsoever; just ask Luke, I'm sure HE can relate at the very least)
You know what would be COOL? If Batman had some sort of "Bat Duct Tape" to stick over this guy's mouth
The best part about this one is that it's also how Syndrome dies at the end of the film
Overrated-as-hell movie that is WAY over-reliant on its whole "R Rating" gimmick, but still a top-notch performance regardless
Dean McCoppin: "There are TWO kinds of metal in this yard; SCRAP and art. If ya GOTTA eat one of 'em, eat the scrap. What you currently have (suddenly poses ridiculously melodramatically for emphasis) IN YOUR MOUTH(! ) IS ART! "
The Giant: "(pulls disfigured scrap-metal art project out of mouth) ART? "
