Top 10 Metal Albums of 2017 with the Best Vocals

Some of the albums on this list may not be among the top metal albums of 2017 but they have very good vocals.
The Top Ten
1 Prevail I - Kobra And The Lotus

Ever since I bought High Priestess I have been a fan of this band they have moved to the top of my favorite bands Great range great songs

Amazing range and passion!

Probably the best metal album to come out in years. Kobra Paige is the female Dickinson.

Totally one of the best albums of 2017, backed up by an awesome tour

2 Incorruptible - Iced Earth

Stu Block - powerful clean vocals that sound close to Matt Barlow, especially the song Raven Wing (at times I could't believe it wasn't Matt).

3 Urn - Ne Obliviscaris
4 Will To Power - Arch Enemy

Whatever was missing on War Eternal was fixed on this one and Alissa's vocals are stronger than ever. Never knew she could do clean vocals, so that was a pleasant surprise.

I like Alissa's growls. In this album she included more of her cleans - many people didn't know she can sing "normally" (song - Reason to Believe).
One of my favorite albums of 2017.

5 Theater of Dimensions - Xandria

Dianne van Giersbergen is basically an opera singer (dramatic soprano) so no surprise here.

6 Aathma - Persefone
7 Inception - Sanctuary

Very good clean operatic vox, high pitched.
There are like 10 metal bands with this name (Sanctuary) but this is the band from Seattle, US (heavy metal, power metal, prog metal).

8 Gods of Violence - Kreator
9 Life on Death Road - Jorn
10 The Solace System - Epica

We have a songbird here.

The Contenders
11 In the Passing Light of Day - Pain of Salvation

I'd consider this progressive metal, it's one of their most heaviest records in awhile. The drumming is very much progressive metal-esque, and some of the riffs are pretty heavy. Full Throttle Tribe, Reasons and On a Tuesday are probably the best examples to see for yourself.

Daniel is a great singer but I didn't put him higher because I am never sure whether they play prog metal or prog rock. For me they are more like prog rock but I decided to include Daniel.

12 Psychotic Symphony - Sons of Apollo
13 Trivium - The Sin and the Sentence
14 The Rise Of Chaos - Accept
15 Machine Messiah - Sepultura
