We just managed to get tickets for one of their shows in London in October. I'm so excited but part of the deal means spending three nights in a hotel room with my family... Could go either way.

They are often credited as one of the seminal and most influential bands in the power metal and speed metal subgenres. Heavily influenced by Queen, they use the technique of overdubbing. They also incorporate large amounts of orchestral arrangements. Hansi Kürsch creates a huge choir effect by overdubbing his own voice multiple times in complex, overlapping harmonies. Thanks to overdubs and numerous backing vocals Blind Guardian stand out with a very dense sound.

Judging by some old videos they were great live but they are getting older so hurry.

I am not a massive fan of theirs but they play very good live - technically perfect performances.

They are flawless live - mostly because Jeff Waters still has it and his fast riffs and solos are still amazing. Dave Padden was a very good singer live but he left the band so I don't know what to expect in the future in this regard. Guitars and drums will be awesome though.

I can't say I am a huge fan in general but I saw them live as an opening act for Amon Amarth. Sabaton are just awesome live. Their songs are very energetic and anthemic. Seeing them live by chance made me pay more attention to them.

Given my opinion, Rammstein would occupy the first position. Their pyrotechnics are on point and they aren't afraid to break a few rules.
They have very unique live shows.
