Anyone who wants to add more can add 'inducted by...' if they wish. Just they have to be metal and eligible (25 Years Since the Debut Album). Multiple inductions are welcome too.

This is probably the most likely candidate. I mean, Metallica and Black Sabbath are in the Hall of Fame, yet Iron Maiden isn't. And let's be honest, this band's popularity, influence and critical acclaim cannot be ignored. - CrimsonShark

Most of these bands deserve to be in there, but Iron Maiden deserves to be there the most.

No need - their music is basically blues-based /Rock N Roll but they played it much faster so the traces of the typical blues "dragging" are still there but not much obvious. Their music is a form of hard rock and not metal. - Metal_Treasure
