Top 10 Greatest Metal Bands With Controversial Names

The Top Ten
1 Cattle Decapitation Cattle Decapitation is an American Deathgrind band from San Diego, California formed in 1996. Cattle Decapitation's songs protest the mistreatment and consumption of animals, the abuse of the environment and touch subjects such as misanthropy and genocide of the human race. Much of their music is based on putting humans in the situations that animals are subjected to, for example animal testing, slaughter, etc. While the band started with an entirely vegetarian lineup, only two current members are vegetarian namely Travis Ryan and Josh Elmore.

One of my all time favorite death metal bands. Their name leads people to believe they are extremely violent. In reality, they are made up of vegans and vegetarians, and their lyrics are about anti-animal cruelty

One of the most brutal death metal bands ever. Before I got into them, or even death metal for that matter. I thought it was a sick, f----d up name. Now that I know more about Metal's shock value, I think it's a pretty funny name

Love this band. Very raw, sinister sound.

The band has gained notoriety among the thrash metal community, and is arguably one of the most popular modern thrash metal bands. An awesome black/thrash band, not hard to tell how it's controversial.

A good band, but their name isn't controversial intentionally. Unfortunately we all know about that whole Islamic State BS.

ISIS is also the name of an Egyptian God.
