201 Artcell Artcell Artcell is a Bangladeshi progressive metal band formed in October 1999. According to The Daily Star, a leading English national daily, Artcell is "one of the leading bands of the country".

This is a pure metal band. They play progressive metal, all along with other genres of rock. And it is also in the "Encyclopaedia Metallum". So no doubt that they are a metal band. They should be higher than 312. - zxm

I like them more than Metallica. - zxm

203 Queensrÿche

Talk about typos. I couldn't be bothered correcting them. You get the drift.

Normally I'd vote for the criminally underrated Dream Theater but they're much higher on the list and Queensryche deserves a bump up.
Operation:Mindcrime is a amazing prog-metal rock oper, how is this band so low on the list!?

The great Quuensryche. From the progressive NWOBHM of their debut ep and album to the electronic progressive metal on Rage For Ordrr to their recognised guitar driven masterpiece Operstion Minfcrime, to commercial success on Empite to their final album with the excellent Chris DeGarmo on Promised Land, these guys meant business.

204 Katatonia Katatonia Katatonia is a Swedish metal band formed in Stockholm in 1991 by Jonas Renkse and Anders Nyström. The band has released nine studio albums spanning the course of three decades, and their tenth studio album, The Fall of Hearts was released on May 20, 2016.

It's hard to keep re-iterating this, but apart from the generation-spanning greats like Metallica, Megadeth, Slayer, Maiden, Sabbath etc. You'll notice how the list gets better and better as you go. It's a generational issue, and this is not a Miss Universe pageant, and this thread is also a great tool for educating the younger generation on bands they aren't aware of. If 20 kids dig Katatonia after reading this then I say good.

What in the world? If you people don't think that Katatonia is good then you obviously don't know great music. Honestly? I am very appalled at this. It makes absolutely no sense for them to be this low.

Yes! My word these depressing giants are good. 'The Great Cold Distance' is fantastic - 'July' particularly.

What is wrong with you guys, this is a great metal band, dave was a great singer, they have a lot of great songs ( bodies, pity, all over me, sinner, tear away, etc. ) this band must be in top 50

Let the bodies hit the floor.

207 Mago de Oz

Understanding that these guys will never get as much attention as bigger bands and will often be categorized as "posers" but still whoever that has paid attention to their songs will agree most of the serious ones at least (Atlantia, La Cantata del Diablo, Finisterra) have a Dream Theater-esque appeal mixing Folk and Metal in such a talented way...

'Wisconsin Death Trip' was a winner for me, the rest? Take it or leave it.

Take it

210 Be'lakor Be'lakor Be'lakor is an Australian melodic death metal band from Melbourne, Victoria. The band's name originates from the character Be'lakor the Dark Master, in the Warhammer Fantasy game setting.

Be'lakor should be at least top 50, they are technical very good and one of the few bands that have 0 songs that I dislike, they make such beautiful and breathtaking music, which they perfectly combine with death metal.

Try Aspect & Countless sky.. I hope you all will understand what I wanna say..

Sun's delusion and Outlive the hand are 2 of my favourite be'lakor songs - Amarth666
