242 Turisas Turisas Turisas is a Finnish metal band from Hämeenlinna. They were founded in 1997 by Mathias Nygård and Jussi Wickström, and named after an ancient Finnish God of war.

Absolutely the greatest metal band with their own sub genre! And all their albums are different so lot's of great songs, an brilliant song writing! Turisas deserves the first place!

Turisas are unique, down to earth, intelligent musicians with a great atitude off and on stage. The music is beautiful, epic and inovative. A lot of bands tend to do what already exists, but they always do something different and try to surprise us.

243 Emigrate

Good songs... (keep in mind that this is a solo project for Richard Z. Kruspe the main guitarist of Rammstien. )

244 Thousand Foot Krutch Thousand Foot Krutch

222? How are they higher than Skillet? I mean, I like them better than Skillet, but I thought Skillet was huge! They've headed Winter Jam before! TWICE!

Thousand foot krutch is one of the best metal bands after (the art of breaking) they were more into rock but the first three albums were just masterpieces.listen to them

Well Focus was the best prog/death album going round, but those young upstarts Between the Buried and Me laid waste to that claim

Focus is the best prog/death album going round.

250 Pain

I pain really deserve higher place in list, I don't know where, exactly, but 198th. is absolutely unfair

251 Deicide Deicide Deicide is an American death metal band formed in 1987 by bassist and vocalist Glen Benton and drummer Steve Asheim. They are known for their blasphemous and satanic lyrics which have resulted in bans, lawsuits and criticisms from religious groups and the public. Frontman Glen Benton is also known for more.

+5 for Glenn Benton naming his son after the anti-christ in the movie 'The Omen'. I'd kill to have an old man like that. Mine was THE Anti-Christ! Why do you think I like metal? And don't mention Stryper, either.

253 A Perfect Circle

I'm so irate with Tool and A Perfect Circle right now, and I'm an enormous fan, but what about some news, some leaks, just bloody something about what they're doing? There has been jack for a decade from both, and to criticise Maynard for his own pompousness is a shame, but don't bands write music? Isn't that what musicians do? If they both no longer exist, at-least have the common decency to inform your fans. Their all too clever for their own good, which, ironically makes them fools. PS: Maynard, your red wine is crap.

A Perfect Circle are fantastic, but it's a stretch to throw them on a metal thread. They can be pulverising when they want to be, but one song in ten years? Come on.

You guys. Are idiots a perfect circle is awesome

Just like Tool, anyone who loves Maynard's vocals, lyrics, intelligence, and music has to listen to him singing Bohemian Rhapsody on Puscifer's Donkey Punch the Night ep. It's a welcome addition to his repertoire, but seriously...

Stoner rock that preceded the Sabbath's Sweet Leaf, I believe?

258 Whitesnake Whitesnake Whitesnake are a rock band formed in England in 1978 by singer David Coverdale, after his departure from his previous band Deep Purple.

Hey, I used to dig them. I think Coverdale, or some other noteworthy people were in there. Classy band many, many moons ago.
