Imagine drumming the 13 minute extended version, pain all around.
Mad drum intro by Scott Travis - petrucci75hammet
Sorry. But this is not even close to the best drum work.. the drums was overplayed on this. Scott travis is an attention seeker.
If you can play this, then you are not human...
Polyrhythms, enough said. - Userguy44
Oneof the best drummer in the world
Oh... My... God. I wanna see any of the posers out there who call themselves "prog metal"... "bands" do that alternating roll.
P.S. when you watch DT videos on youtube watch out for imsorry110 (reddrums110). - fireinside96
Brilliant double bass in 3 parts of the song
The song itself has such great lyrics
The hardest song to drum played by the best drummer ever!
Holy crap... that roll at the beginning... let's see anyone other than Portnoy try to get half that speed. Mind-blowing
Really good fill in at the beginning, Portnoy is technically one of the greatest drummers ever! - petrucci75hammet
Not THAT impressive for #4 position. Overall an average drum tabs, with an over-focus on speed & aggression rather than technicality which is a crucial criteria for this list. It's pretty easy to play once you learn double bass & pick-up the speed. - Joeljohns249
War Ensemble has double bass nearly all the way through, crazy stuff, and Raining Blood is even faster on drums. Slipknot's Joey Jordison is great too, but I don't know why they picked Before I Forget down there, that's a pretty slow Knot song. - calmeehan
Very good drumming but not as good as Seasons In The Abyss, in my opinion. The drum rolls in Seasons are insane at times.
This has the best drum work in history of metal. It always sends shivers down my spine every time I played this song.
A7X has better drumming than a song with 128 Time Signatures in just 6 minutes? LOLOLOLOLOL - christangrant
128 time signatures. I love it's base a 2 number.
Freakish drumming by Danny Carey! - petrucci75hammet
Whats Wrong with you GUYS? Why you just don't listening to the oficcial songs And then drummers performances. LARS ULRICH SUCKS. He play sekk and destroy LIKE Battery...
George Kollias - isn't he the most insane drummer ever?
(technical death metal). - Metal_Treasure
Nick Menza, though slightly underrated can really drum even in fast songs like this! - petrucci75hammet
Similar to my comment on War Ensemble (Slayer), just because a song is very fast doesn't mean the drum tabs are that hard to play. It's based on Punk, so the drumming is not that technical. Remember in drumming, speed is a relatively easier skill to master with practice, but technicality isn't. - Joeljohns249
Compare it to anything, >>anything<< looses every time :P
Epic and skillful drumming (Mike Mangini). Awesome intro - fast and long (50 seconds). - Metal_Treasure
Francesco Paoli is a sick sick sick drummer (technical death metal). - Metal_Treasure
Really fast intense metal drumming by Lars Ulrich! - petrucci75hammet
Mike Portnoy's drumming rhythms are really groovy in this. - petrucci75hammet
What an intro! It makes me smile every time I hear it. Rob Reiner is the best!
What the hell?! Why is this song at 16th? This is genius amazing single bass and tom work
Beastly drummer, that one foot action. One of those metal drummers who never went to double kick through principle. m/
And Dyers Eve isn't a "drum performance", unless you count drum programming. He can't even play it live. Silly Lars
Very fast and technical abilities professionally shown by Niko Mcbrian
Mike Mangini - unmistakable musicality and technical skills. - Metal_Treasure
Awesome drums throughout the 13 and a half minutes - also amazing instrumental section at the end with the repeated guitar riffing - petrucci75hammet
One of the best closing tracks that proved why Clive Burr is one of the greatest heavy metal drummers of all time. Iron Maiden at its best.R.I.P. clive Burr
Bill Ward, one of metal's biggest influences in drumming. - petrucci75hammet
before I forget that this song is one of the best metal songs ever and the drums by joey jordison are really really good for me 1st place is the correct one
SLIPKNOT Best metal band actually
He hits everything on it he is the best
Not a big fan of slipknot.. but this song should get special mention... u get hooked on to it from the start itself!
Not only has amazing drum fills by Lombardo, but is such an incredible composition overall, especially its evil-sounding guitar riffs! - petrucci75hammet
Vinnie Paul's best performance in a really intense metal song - petrucci75hammet
Every Pantera song is a drum masterpiece, including this one!
This is hard!
Not even close to art of subconscious illusion, darkness surrounding, the entire city of evil album, critical acclaim, scream, almost easy, unbound the wild ride, tension, crossroads, a little piece of heaven
Even though it doesn't fit the song, neither does any of the drumming in that album, the rev is still in my opinion a fantastic and original drummer who passed away way to early
Sad god fog mad hd sandisk 3tb
Best a7x song, far too underrated, fantastic drumming
The unbelievable speed of Hellhammers drumming on this song is incomparable
These guys are some much better then most metal bands by far
