Greatest Heavy Metal/Hard Rock Vocalists

The Contenders: Page 7

121 Tony Harnell

Look him up:incredible vocal range and intensity, better than about 95% of this list in my opinion in terms of sheer ability, just unheard of

People just don't know

122 Don Dokken

My personal opinion Don should be behind Klaus Meine, and both should be in top ten this dude sang lead for the scorpions when Klaus'es voice was damaged. Dons voice can get to that higher vibrato range one of the best out of the 80s hair era by far.

123 Ray Gillen
124 Michael Starr
125 Sakurai Atsushi

Love his vocals on slip of the lip on their 1986 album dancing undercover

130 James Michael

I know he's worked with other bands, and did solo stuff, but I didn't know who he was until Sixx A.M. I've since listened to some of his other stuff, but none of it does justice to seeing him live. His range is amazing and he can hold a note longer than anyone I've seen in a long time, and I've seen a lot of shows. He definitely deserves a spot on this list.

131 Joel O'Keeffe
132 Rob Zombie Rob Zombie Rob Zombie is an American heavy metal musician, film director, screenwriter and film producer. His career launched in 1985 when he formed the heavy metal band White Zombie. Following their breakup, he began a successful solo career. Zombie began directing in the early 2000s. His most famous movies are more.

A truly astounding vocalist. He can scream and growl and he can also sing so emotively. He has great power and range and he is amazing live. He is easily the best lyricist though. Just listen to the song, "A Tapestry Scorned".

Amazing vocalist - beautiful screams and growls, emotional singing and powerful dramatic low register. Also writes amazing lyrics.
