Everyone and their brother knows that Dave singing sounded like him trying to pitch a loaf in 80s and 90s. Nowadays, his voice is a lot better and more befitting for the newer Megadeth albums. He's the most curious case for me:
1) with aging, he widened his range by widening his highest register (aging usually lowers the singing voices)
2) his voice at the age of 50 still sounded incredibly pristine and clean as if all those 30 years of singing difficult metal material never happened - no unwanted rasp and so on (ex. Miracle Machine by Blind Guardian) - Metal_Treasure
