PS. The crowd is awesome, too, from 4:30-end.

YouTube this (it's audio only):
Blind Guardian - The Lord Of The Rings [Live Tokyo Tales]

This is one of the greatest live vocal performances - not only in metal. You just forget it's live and only the crowd applause at the end remind you it was live.

This is my idea of how a metal singer should sound live.

4 Rob Halford Robert John Arthur "Rob" Halford is an English singer and songwriter, who is best known as the lead vocalist for the Grammy Award-winning heavy metal band Judas Priest and famed for his powerful wide ranging operatic voice.

Why is Rob at no. 9? He is one of the few metal singers who still delivers great performances at old age. He should be up towards the top with Bruce.

Saw him in 2005 but I wish I didn't. It was my first metal show and this disappointment was really painful (he was with the Black Sabbath original lineup). Ozzy is the most overrated metal musician/singer ever.

He's a damn good singer and excellent live, too.
He's got amazing operatic/theatrical vocals, harsh vocals and growls - full package.
And his stuff is crazy, that's for sure.

9 Jarkko Ahola Jarkko Kalevi Ahola is a Finnish performing artist, composer and singer, best known as a metal singer. He is the vocalist, bass player and one of the three songwriters of the metal band Teräsbetoni. He also started a solo career as Ahola, a metal band.

Ave Maria -- J. Ahola -- 8.12.2013

PS. Oh My God, what a voice! He's a metal singer but his Ave Maria (live! ) reveals his capacity to be an opera singer, too - the second half is more impressive (after 2:40), especially towards the end. He is just mindblowing and sounds so effortless on this difficult song!
Jarkko Ahola is definitely the best metal singer from Finland.
