The Top Ten
This Song Is Like Trying To Pick Between Call Of Duty And Battlefield They Are Both So Good - christangrant
Holy Wars DESTROYS Master of puppets.
Holy wars. Both are great though - ryanrimmel
Gotta go with Holy Wars.
The Four Horsemen Is A Epic Tale While The Mechanix Is About Having Sex At A Gas Station - christangrant
I say The Four Horsemen. - Metal_Treasure
The Four Horseman may be slower, but I like it more. - MattAffterburner
They're pretty much the same thing. Love them both. - IronSabbathPriest
This is hard. I don't think either are close to the best of their bands, but I might have to go painkiller because of its awesome solos.
The trooper. That's one of the staple heavy metal songs - ryanrimmel
The Trooper for me... Love Painkiller though...
I can't choose. - Metal_Treasure
Ozzy's era was better, but paranoid is way overplayed for its just being a generic and okay song. Heaven and hell is better.
Heaven and Hell is a classic song from Sabbath. Paranoid is overplayed pop filler. - MattAffterburner
Easily, Heaven And Hell.
Paranoid is a 2 minute song written in 20 minutes as a filler with a ripped off riff. And the melody sounds like a children song and not a metal song. - Metal_Treasure
I have to go with Heaven And Hell.
Gotta say the rime. It was the first classic Maiden song I ever heard - I got into them via The Final Frontier and because I was young when the album came out, I felt it would be impossible to have a song longer than When The Wild Wind Blows. Until I was pointed to the Rime. I have to say, it has the best lyrics in a song ever. - IronSabbathPriest
Both songs are really epic and apply that cool galloping style. - Metal_Treasure
Here the Rime of the Ancient Mariner! - MattAffterburner
Bruce's voice cinches it. Rime.
Run to the Hills. - Userguy44
This one’s not even close. The real question is Stargazer vs Holy Wars.
The answer is obvious - Stargazer. - IronSabbathPriest
I say Stargazer, too. - Metal_Treasure
Obviously Stargazer. - MattAffterburner
Quite difficult, but Iron Maiden is my second favorite band and this Hallowed is my favorite song. - MattAffterburner
One of the hardest choices ever... But I have to go with Hallowed Be Thy Name - Metal_Treasure
Two of the greatest metal songs on Earth. I have to go with Painkiller.
Too hard to choose. - Userguy44
Alison Hell is brilliant. - Metal_Treasure
IF YOU CHOOSE A LACK OF COMPREHENSION I WILL GIVE YOU A HAMMER SMASHED FACE - XxSEVEREDHUMANITYxX
Pantera's better than sepultura, but roots is better than walk.
Roots by a long shot.
This isn't even a face off the answer is obviously Raining Blood, Bleed isn't even in its league not to say that bleed isn't an awesome song. - germshep24
RAINING BLOOD!, - XxSEVEREDHUMANITYxX
Powerslave. I really like the bridge part and solos. - Userguy44
Two of the greatest basslines in metal.
The basslines: Dave E. vs Steve H. ! - Metal_Treasure
The greatest ballads written by these two bands, also known for being friends - yeah, they may end up with a common performance onstage :)
Either way, it's gonna be cool. - Metal_Treasure
Bard's song. - ryanrimmel
These are my favorite metal instrumentals. - Metal_Treasure
Voice Of The Soul Is A Perfect Song It Doesn't Need Lyrics To Describe An Epic Tale - christangrant
Pursuit of Vikings! Hail Valhalla! - MattAffterburner
Without a doubt - A Light In the Black. - Metal_Treasure
Awesome, Black Sabbath and Deep Purple even performed these 2 legendary songs live in California, 1974 (same day, same venue - the famous California Jamming). The videos are available on youtube.
My choice is Mistreated. - Metal_Treasure
Deep Purple nailed it even live!
War pigs easily. One of my favorite songs - ryanrimmel
Mistreated. - Userguy44
Rob Halford is a vocal god but the voice of Hansi Kürsch is godlike, too. I wouldn't underestimate Hansi as a contender, not at all. Hansi's incredible passion in the voice and the way he sings this song give me chills. On the other hand, Rob Halford gives me chills, too. I'd tie it. - Metal_Treasure
Rob Halford and Hansi Kürsch are two of the greatest metal singers ever and their vocal performances are mindblowing here.
These two songs also have similar lyrical themes; both are epic, introspective and emotive.
Nothing Else Matters - I like it better. - Metal_Treasure
Nothing Else Matters. - Userguy44
Both songs are fast and Sammet's voice often sounds so similar to Dickinson's.
Aces High. - Userguy44
This is something I cannot answer. What are your opinions? - MattAffterburner
