Top 10 Metal Songs of 2017 with the Best Riffs

Metal_Treasure
I am pretty happy with the metal releases in 2017 including some cool riffs.
Metal songs often have more than one riff.

The Top Ten

1 Eyrie - Ne Obliviscaris

Killer riff at 4:30-5:05 - heavy, interesting and memorable. It is also well paired with the drums and the whole section sounds very djenty. This riff appears again later in the song - the song is very long (11:51 minutes) and this riff is used only in the 2nd half.
This isn't my favorite song on this album but Ne Obliviscaris' album Urn is probably my favorite metal album of 2017 (extreme progressive metal). - Metal_Treasure

2 The World is Yours - Arch Enemy

I mean the riff that is in the 2nd half of the sample and you can hear it if you play the song sample.
The melodic riff that's paired with the vocals is also very good (1st half of the sample) - Metal_Treasure

3 The Devil's Son - Belphegor
4 Faceless Queen - Septicflesh

Insane symphonized riffs (just play the sample) - Metal_Treasure

5 Gods of Violence - Kreator

The melodic riff is a bit folky and I think it's interesting to hear something like that in a thrash song (you can hear it on the sample). - Metal_Treasure

6 No Faced Mindless - Persefone

This is a very technical and progressive song with different types of riffs - some of them even sound like melodic black metal riffs. Also, there's a very interesting riff at 3:50-4:30 that reminds me very much of folk music from the Balkan region of Europe. - Metal_Treasure

7 Kings of the Nightworld - The Black Dahlia Murder
8 Dante's Inferno - Septicflesh
9 Intra Venus - Ne Obliviscaris

Just play the sample (what I like the most starts towards the end of the sample) - Metal_Treasure

10 First Day in Hell - Arch Enemy

Just play the song sample - Metal_Treasure

The Contenders

11 Totalitarian Terror - Kreator

Parts of this song sound pretty much like the melodic death metal by Arch Enemy - a melodic riff in the background with harsh vocals on it (ex., chorus at 1:10-1:30; play the sample). This probably happens because there are similarities between thrash and death metal. - Metal_Treasure

12 The Roman - Ex Deo
13 Libera (Part I) - Saturnine Spheres Libera (Part I) - Saturnine Spheres
