Some say that The Metal Day on 11.11. is in tribute to the custom Marshal amplifiers, presented in the comedy 'This Is Spinal Tap', where the amp volume knobs go to 11 and not to 10.
No coincidence that Sam Dunn released his epic documentary 'Metal Evolution' on 11.11.2011, and the documentary has 11 episodes.
