Top 10 Metal Songs You Initially Didn't Like but Later Became Favorite Songs

There are such songs - they don't get your attention instantly but after some time you find yourself liking these songs, sometimes even more than other songs by the same band.
In metal, it's often a matter of getting into metal - new fans usually like songs that are closer to pop or rock, and need some time to fully appreciate metal songs. I was there, too. It's when the problem is in the listener and not in the song.
I would appreciate if you add metal songs you didn't like instantly.
The Top Ten
1 Beyond the Realms of Death - Judas Priest

That was when I didn't like high-pitched and screamed vocals. And basically I didn't understand the song (neither musically nor lyrically). This song is perfect, the problem was mine. Currently it's one of my most favorite metal songs of all time.

2 Dante's Inferno - Iced Earth

I didn't like it when I wasn't able to understand and appreciate long and epic songs. Now I like it more than Dracula, for example. How times change - currently I like mostly epic and long songs.

3 Crystal Mountain - Death

That was when I was a new metal fan and I didn't like any song with unclean vocals.

4 Cathedral Spires - Judas Priest

Vox: Tim Ripper Owens. I didn't like it because I listened to it with prejudice due to bandwagoning. Lesson learned.

5 The Four Horsemen - Metallica

Not that I didn't like it, I just didn't pay much attention to it because I liked better some other songs on this album (Seek & Destroy). Now it's my favorite song from this album.

6 Everytime I Die - Children of Bodom

When I was a new and still underdeveloped metal fan

7 Bleed - Meshuggah

I didn't like it because it was too early when I first heard it - I was new to metal and I didn't like extreme metal

8 Schizos (Are Never Alone) Parts I & II - Annihilator

This song, a song that I simultaneously love and am indifferent too depending on the day

A song that needs more than one-two listens.

9 Theatre of Pain (Classic Version) - Blind Guardian

This version was a bonus track. I wasn't very much into classical/symphonic arrangements. But now I am.
I have to admit that in general, I didn't get into Blind Guardian very easy. But when I got into them, I knew it was for life.

10 The Call of Ktulu - Metallica

The biggest problem with this track is that its not as accessible as "Orion" and "To Live is To Die". Regardless, its an amazing instrumental and is worthy of being one of the greatest closing tracks of all time. You'll love it once you get used to it.

The Contenders
11 Hardwired - Metallica

I would say the whole album, nothing on the album particularly stands out, but the songs grow on you the more you listen

12 Cast Down the Heretic - Nile

Currently my favorite Nile song.

13 Swim to the Moon - Between the Buried and Me
14 Paschendale - Iron Maiden

This song I loved immediately, it has always been the one Maiden song that sticks out to me

15 Fade to Black - Metallica
