Yes, zxm has read one of my comments. What I actually said was that the overuse of snare drums annoys me. The overuse and not the use. I mean a hardcore punk beat on snare drums that is good to me for up to 10-15 seconds, 20 seconds max, depending on the song. After that I feel the drummer should put a fill, or better - use the double bass. Thrash bands and even individual songs that are more influenced by hardcore punk tend to overuse this snare drum beat.
I saw in one of Metal_Treasure's comments that thrash metal drumming use excess snare drums. Well, I have seen it too. I prefer drumming with more uses of other pieces like floor tom, tom tom drum, double bass etc.
Despite this small detail about the overuse of snare drums in thrash that sometimes happens, I have to say that thrash drummers are among the best in metal.

In my Opinion this should be number one because most Groove Metal bands have really great drumming For Example Lamb of Gods drummer is considered one of the best metal drummers ever and I agree his drumming is perfect also Fear Factory, White Zombie, Pantera, Machine Head, also have great drumming
