Most Underrated Lord of the Rings Characters

I love Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit and I decided to give some credit to the characters that I found as underrated.
My list is only about movie characters so please don't be pissed off if some LOTR book characters are not on the list.
And also remember that this list is only my opinion and you don't have to agree with it, just comment your thoughts about it.
The Top Ten
1 Faramir

YES. Faramir is sooo underrated. He's the steward of Gondor! Son of Denethor! Brother of Boromir! And anyone in the audience can feel the pain in Farimir, how Denethor said "Yes. I would have liked you to die instead of Boromir." Chilling!

You betray him, I WILL kill you.

2 Mouth of Sauron

He has a cool helmet.

3 Grima Wormtongue
4 King Theoden

Theoden is a beast, your right he is underrated most people wouldn't mention him in top ten. He should be.

Fight, to Valhalla!

5 Éowyn
6 Boromir

He is a legendary fighter who dies honorably. Oh wait he sounds a lot like Ned Stark. What a coincidence!

One dose not simply put the MOUTH OF FREAKING SAURON AS #1. HE IS NOT EVEN IN THE ACTUAL MOVIE. ONLY THE EXTENDED VERSION!

7 The Witch King of Angmar
8 Gothmog

Gothmog is a competent commander, despite his disabilities. The age of man is over, the time of the orc is now (sorry if I butchered that quote).

He plays chicken with a catapult.

9 Samwise Gamgee Samwise Gamgee, known as Sam, was a Hobbit of the Shire. He was Frodo Baggins' gardener and best friend. Sam proved himself to be Frodo's closest and most dependable companion, the most loyal of the Fellowship of the Ring, and also played a necessary role in protecting Frodo and destroying the One Ring. The character is from J. R. R. Tolkien's legendarium and was portrayed by Sean Astin in The Lord of the Rings trilogy.

He should be the number one on the most powerful. Technically he destroyed the one ring when he threw a rock at Gollum.

Awesome but not at all underrated. I see a lot of (deserved) praise for Sam.

Truly a great character. Very well-developed throughout the series.

Number one hobbit.

10 Gimli
The Contenders
11 Barrow Wight
12 Treebeard

He is easily a number 5 at LEAST character

We have decided that you are not Orcs.

He whooped Saruman and Isengard. Speaking of witch, Isengard is a beast name.

13 Tom Bombadil

He is basically god, he can see Frodo and the ring dose nothing.

Gods little brother

14 Frodo Baggins Frodo Baggins is a fictional character and is the main protagonist of J. R. R. Tolkien's novel The Lord of the Rings. He was a Hobbit of the Shire during the Third Age. He was also a Ring-bearer, a best friend to Samwise Gamgee, and one of the three Hobbits who sailed from Middle-earth to the Uttermost ...read more.
15 Meriadoc Brandybuck
16 Éomer

I would chop of your head if it was a bit higher.

17 Gollum Gollum is a fictional character from J. R. R. Tolkien's legendarium. He was introduced in the 1937 children's fantasy novel The Hobbit, and became an important supporting character in its sequel, The Lord of the Rings. In Peter Jackson's Lord of the Rings and Hobbit trilogies, he is portrayed via motion capture by Andy Serkis.

Interesting character. But Gollum isn't really underrated.

It is not underrated.

18 Ghan-Buri-Ghan
19 Thranduil

His sword is so cool! It should have a name.

Why is he so underrated?

20 Barliman Butterbur

He saved the hobbits butts more than once

21 Elrond
22 Quickbeam
23 Watcher in the Water
24 Arwen
