Top Ten Most Misunderstood Animals

So many animals have been given a bad name by human culture and it's all mindless and unfair. These are the ones who have been given the worst name.

The Top Ten Most Misunderstood Animals

1 Sharks Sharks are a group of fish characterized by a cartilaginous skeleton, five to seven gill slits on the sides of the head, and pectoral fins that are not fused to the head. Sharks have been around before the earth's first dinosaurs and even the earth's first trees.

People die more often by toilets than by sharks. Seriously... I'm not making this up.

I hear it all the time.
Save the turtles! And not the sharks because they eat people!
Not tru
At all.
Sharks only attack if they think you're prey, or if they think your harmful, and it juat depends on the shark. But sharks are just really big fish, they don't mean to harm us

Agreed. Save the sharks! Seriously, you have a better chance of dying from a rogue vending machine than from shark attack. I mean, come on!

Sharks mistake us for their food. They don't eat us on purpose, and how would they survive without food?

2 Wolves Often in/from packs, Wolves are carnivorous Canines that come in various colours and breeds, and have evolved to Dogs. Some breeds of Wolves are, like Dogs, domesticated, to become a Working Dog.

So many people hate wolves but they aren't bad at all. They're the reason why Yellowstone and Yosemite look as beautiful as they are! - girly-dog-girl

I find it ironic that the predator in a story is the bad guy, considering most of the population isn't a vegetarian or a vegan. The big bad wolf is bad for eating pigs, but we eat pigs. Anyway, wolves rarely attack humans, and are very loyal. - ToptenPizza

Wolves yup there comes the wolf to eat them there not that deadly they only attack when threatened I hate that wolves are always the animal that attacks the hero like in stories they will kill everyone and the hero and kill everything and the predator that does is always wolf they look like careless animals but there not they love there youngs and care a lot about them

I think wolves should be the most misunderstood animal because they really are harmless, wolves are actually afraid of humans and would rather stay away from human habitats. They of corse are going to raid farms because if chickens pigs cows and sheep are all there is to eat then wolves will have to steal food from farms I mean they have to eat!

3 Gorillas Gorillas are ground-dwelling, predominantly herbivorous apes that inhabit the forests of central Sub-Saharan Africa.

Why do gorillas represent violence? I mean, they are very gentle and rarely start violence, when they pound their chest it's to seem tough, but they don't want to fight. Watch the YouTube video "KoKo the gorrila cries over loss of kitten" - ToptenPizza

Gorillas are endangered because of trophy hunting even though they have almost never hurt anyone despite their immense power

Get This
Human DNA Is The Same As The Great Apes (Gorillas Are One Of Them) 98% Of The Time So It's A Bit Wired To Not Be Able To Understand Them. - 12cc

Why did they kill harambe it's so sad for some reasons people are making memes of it this is not funny

4 Pigs

Pigs are really smart, despite not being able to look up all the way. They are nice, and cute. Lots of people simply see pigs as smelly, dirty, rotten creatures. Those people are heartless!

Pigs are actually very clean. The reason they roll around in mud is to cool off. They can't take cold showers.

Both the piglets and the adults are the cutest animals I can think of. Lazing around, rolling in mud and not caring what people think of them somehow makes them more so.

Pigs are so cute! They can't look up all the way, but they're intelligent little creatures! In fact, the book Charlotte's Web made me love pigs even more!

5 Black Cats

I have a black cat and he is a very friendly, albeit very shy cat who just likes to be petted all the time. - InfinateSuperstorm

Agreed. Black cats are as good as any other pet. Bad luck? My butt.

Black cats are like any other cat. They're little buttheads who know they're cute. Who wouldn't want that?

This is not true! I have walked past a black cat plenty of times if one happened to be passing by and nothing bad happened afterwards! Black cats are like all other cats and do not deserve this reputation because of a superstition!

6 Snakes Snakes are elongated, legless, carnivorous reptiles of the suborder Serpentes that can be distinguished from legless lizards by their lack of eyelids and external ears.

Snakes are not evil. They actually control the rodent population

Snakes are amazing animals and are highly under estimated and are considered as "evil" and "devilish" but really, a snake is just like you and me, a living creature with thoughts and feelings. Not to mention they make brilliant pets. (Not the venomous one star of corse! ) Snakes are amazing and people also think they are ugly and slimy. You will be surprised to hold one, they have smooth scales and they are beutiful creatures, not ugly. Mammals are not the only animals that are "cute" all animals are brilliant and unique in their own way. And snakes, are one of the most greatest animals on earth. And snakes do not bite, unless if they think they are being harmed. They don't care about harming humans! They are the same as any other animal!

I see why people think snakes are dangerous. They can be fatal in one bite and eat their pray whole, I think that's a bit scary. But saying they are all mini versions of the devil or are all evil is just childish. You can say that dogs slobber, because it's a proven physical trait, not a personality one. Imagine if every human had the same personality, well, we are saying that is true to snakes. I love how cunning and fast they are, but they aren't mean. I had a pet snake that escaped a lot that was very active but not evil. Saying snakes are evil without even owning one is just childish, so please stop.

Snakes are not ugly or stupid, they are very beautiful and intelligent creatures. Not all of them are mean, or even harmful. Many snakes are real sweethearts, stop generalizing and saying all snakes are evil or something, because they're not! - starlightsong

7 Mice A mouse is a small rodent characteristically having a pointed snout, small rounded ears, a body-length scaly tail and a high breeding rate. The best known mouse species is the common house mouse. It is also a popular pet.

Mice are not dirty little rodents, they are actually intelligent. No one is too small to matter, they are natural students who excel at learning and understanding concepts, they have excellent memories, once rats learn a navigation route, they never forget it. Mice and rats are also highly social animals. They become attached to each other, love their own families, and easily bond with their human guardians. They make sounds similar to giggling when having fun. But who cares about rats and mice, right? - ToptenPizza

I never understood people's deal with rodents, including mice and rats. It's the feral mice/rats that carry diseases and I honestly don't see what people think is so "scary" about them. I have no problem with them.

Rats are the cleanest animals infact squirrel are 10x and there always turned down annoying cousin the hamster fun fact its been proven that hamsters and gerbils caused the black plague not mice and mice have a link with there smarts to cats and dogs - Toptenanimallovers

Joey's Rattata will wreck you. - MrQuaz680

8 Bats

Bats are awesome but they are always associated with creepiness especially on Halloween where it's now totally okay to think of bats as creepy blood-sucking vampires when most bats eat fruit and even mosquitos! Only some bats drink blood but they are not monsters!

Bats are always associates with creepiness. They actually have a network of family and friends and a good social life. When they can have a social life, they are smart. - ToptenPizza

They actually have good eyesight. They just use echo location for hunting small bugs and such.

They are my favorite animal but there not that popular for a favorite animal honestly

9 Bears

I can't believe it when people said bears are evil. What did they do to you? They did NOTHING. They were just being protective of their kids! What's so bad about that? What if YOU had a kid, somebody suddenly comes over and chops your head off thus kidnapping your kids and antagonizing you until your species went threatened? Wow...

Don't go trying to mess with bears they are very teritorial but they are constantly being killed for sport by the horrendous thing called HUNTING! They are not all bad, if someone you didn't know came in your house and started touching your kids, wouldn't you be pissed? - ToptenPizza

Hey hunting is not bad! How else do you think our ancestors survived? But I don't hunt bears I hunt squirrels - Katekat123

Bears are beautiful and not savage. Hunting provokes bears and seeking them out can of course make them feel threatened and make them attack. And yes, hunting is wrong. People once used it only when they needed fur and meat, but as a sport it is disgusting to take something's life just for a cruel 'sport'.

Yogi, Boo-Boo, Teddy... Etc - Billyv

10 Porcupines Porcupines are rodentian mammals with a coat of sharp spines, or quills, that protect against predators.

If you saw a sad-looking porcupine in the street holding a sign saying, "Free hugs", would you hug it? - RoseWeasley

Poor porcupines no one likes them, they don't try to prick you, Derek Small, the director of Wildlife Encounters Zoo says that this is not true. A porcupine cannot shoot its poisonous quills, but it can definitely release them into the face of some animal that starts sniffing it a little too close. - ToptenPizza

I love porcupines! They are so cute and their quills are only there to defend them against predators who want to eat them!

The Contenders

11 Meerkat The meerkat or suricate is a small carnivoran belonging to the mongoose family. It is the only member of the genus Suricata.

Meerkats are getting killed by Eagles and we need to help

12 Lion The lion is one of the big cats in the genus Panthera and a member of the family Felidae. The commonly used term African lion collectively denotes the several subspecies in Africa.

How are lions, cattle, and white tigers misunderstood? Not hating, just asking.

13 Parrot Parrots, also known as psittacines, are birds of the roughly 393 species in 92 genera that make up the order Psittaciformes, found in most tropical and subtropical regions.

People think they are just birds that repeat what we say, they are wrong!

KIWI - Luckys

14 Opossums

Some people think Possums are ugly and mean. They are SO not ugly. They are really nice, don't chase or attack your pets, and their not mean I will say that again. When they are only in trouble they hiss, drool, try to look tough, and show their teeth. Their only protecting themselves. Don't be mean to them and say their ugly.

They make transcendent pets.

15 Piranha A piranha or piraña, a member of family Characidae in order Characiformes, is a freshwater fish that inhabits South American rivers, floodplains, lakes and reservoirs.
16 Dog The domestic dog is a wolf-like canid in the genus Canis, and is the most widely abundant terrestrial carnivore.

Pitbulls have a bad reputation because of dog fighting. Dog fighting is a cruel, illegal and unacceptable act which I think should be banned. (And Pitbulls aren't the only dog fighting breed. The English Mastiff, Cane Corso and Tosa Inu were also used for dog fighting, yet their incidents aren't as well known and their reputations aren't as bad. Either way, I still think dog fighting gives any dog a bad name) Although it's usually the irresponsible owners that are bad rather than the dogs themselves, I still think Pitbulls are more untrustworthy than misunderstood. You just don't want to mess with them. (unless you really want to)

Really? They aren't misunderstood. I get that some of them are nice but a vast part of them are not. Call it stereotype, but it's true. One attacked this harmless cute little west i.e. At the dog park and really hurt it. The little waste was so happy, trotting around and smiling. Then a nasty pit bull went charging after it and pounced on it and the good natured west is was so petrified and hurt he couldn't stop him. I will never look at one the same again. I think they are cute and all, and I'm sure there are very nice ones out there, but you have to admit that a lot of them will attack. Way more than any other dog breed. I don't think they are misunderstood, I just think they are untrustworthy. 'enough said.

Pitbulls are naturally more aggressive than the average dog, so I completely understand what you're saying. But these dogs can be extremely loyal and trustworthy if trained correctly. The pitbull who acted this way must have not been socialised from young by its owner. These dogs generally do not get along well with other dogs, I'm not going to sugar-coat it. But this is why they must be socialised from young to get this behaviour out of them. I definitely do not recommend this dog to a first time dog owner as it can be exhausting to train them, but it's always worth it in the end. As a fellow pitbull owner, I can confirm that these dogs are extremely loyal and trustworthy when with the right owner who knows how to care for them. - CaitlinComet

A dog's aggression (if it is aggressive) isn't because of its breed, it's because of the way it was raised. If a dog is beaten and/or taught to attack people, that is what it will do because that is what it knows. If it is taught to be lovable, that is what it will be.

These dogs are so misunderstood by so many ( stupid ) people, not to mention that some people AND PETA support the killing of them. Let's just hope that in the future, pit bulls won't be frowned upon as a dangerous breed of dog. - IceFoxPlayz

17 Spiders

I think spiders are pretty cool and some are actually harmless. They're useful because they prey on nasty, harmful insects like mosquitos and flies that carry disease. If it weren't for spiders, then we would have a problem.

Honestly, there is nothing dangerous about them, unless you saw, say, a tarantula or a black widow. They protect your homes from other, more harmful insects, and you repay them by killing and fearing them. Another reason the human race is stupider than spiders.

Yea they are really nice creatures but... You gotta admit they look creepy. But that's no reason to smack them on site.

I'm REALLY sorry spiders. I'm aware you're crucial in the ecosystem but... You're terrifying. I just can't help it. - keycha1n

18 Hyenas Hyenas or hyaenas are any feliform carnivoran mammals of the family Hyaenidae /haɪˈɛnᵻdiː/. With only four extant species, it is the fifth-smallest biological family in the Carnivora, and one of the smallest in the class Mammalia.

It's all The Lion King's fault that hyenas have gotten such a horrible reputation and I thought the old folk stories of the past had it bad enough. Hyenas are often mistaken as henchmen or a species exclusive to the villain side because of this movie. For a change, I rather see a good guy/gal that is a hyena instead of another villain that's one. In reality, hyenas are intelligent and excellent hunters who hunt their own prey most of the time and it's usually the lions who scavenge from hyenas more often than the other way around (No offense to lion lovers, just telling the truth).

You know what is sad? Some people actually defend the bad reputation of hyenas, saying stuff like "they make good villains", or "hyena biologists are acting ridiculous", or "we must follow folk traditions since the 'evil hyena' stereotype has been used before so it must be kept being used again and again for generations" or other crud I don't care about. I know fiction is fiction, but The Lion King has been a horrible influence on peoples' views on the animals. Fans of the bad hyenas in The Lion King and The Lion Guard are not true hyena lovers.

The second one is true. Hyena biologists are acting ridiculous. I mean, suing a film over the portrayal of an animal species? Really? Also, boycotting the film will not help conserve hyenas in the wild.

As for me, I really don't care for the hyenas in The Lion King. - InfinateSuperstorm

They are smart and cool, not stupid and lazy. Lions are stupid and lazy. Why aren't hyenas on the top of near the top of this list? -me

Hyenas are my favorite animals. At least they don't kill their kids, like lions!

Only the male lions do this and it's when they take over another pride they never kill their own young but if it's another male's offspring... - Katekat123

19 Giant Squid The giant squid is a deep-ocean dwelling squid in the family Architeuthidae. Giant squid can grow to a tremendous size due to deep-sea gigantism: recent estimates put the maximum size at 13 m for females and 10 m for males from the posterior fins to the tip of the two long tentacles (second only to ...read more.
20 Human Humans are not exactly wild animals, but they are not domesticated either. Humans are proven to be the most intelligent species of animals on Earth. Humans' colours vary from almost pepper black to milky white.

Yes, while Hitler, Stalin, and Vlad the Impaler were all humans we shouldn't forget that Gandhi, Abraham Lincoln, Albert Einstein, and Mother Teresa were also humans. While in most talking animal films humans are either portrayed as pure evil or stupid, in reality most humans are normal people trying to live normal lives.

The greatest creature on earth ever. Smart and while, yes they can be asses and cause global warming but there is still no creature better. Churchill,Gandhi,Jesus,Steven Hawking and all 7.6 billion of us working together changes the world.

good

Humans are not misunderstood. While some of us are pretty smart, there are still a huge number that aren't very smart in one form or another. And with everything we destroy and wipe out, all the greed and hatred we have, and pretty much every other problem we cause day in and day out, humans really are the biggest nuisance that the world has to other. Nothing is a bigger problem than mankind. Animals are more misunderstood than humans and regardless of what some people think, we are definitely NOT the dominant species on this planet.

21 Rats Rats are various medium-sized, long-tailed rodents of the superfamily Muroidea. "True rats" are members of the genus Rattus, the most important of which to humans are the black rat, Rattus rattus, and the brown rat, Rattus norvegicus.

Did you guys know that there is no law against performing experiments on rats, no matter how painful? Let's say I wanted to cut off a bunch of rats' heads to see how long it took them to die. No law against it. They are just as cute as other rodents like hamsters and Guinea pigs. Rats are way smarter than them, too. You say they're dirty? You would stink too if you lived in sewers. Why do they live in sewers, you might ask. It's because they have nowhere else to go. Cities are to big for people to walk across, imagine how it is for rats! Rats are the only animal besides humans that have been known to laugh (for the right reason). The Bubonic Plague was caused by fleas, not rats. The fleas simply bit the rats. Then the rats bit the humans that were trying to exterminate them.

Sometimes we have to experiment on them scientists are performing new cancer medicines and seeing if they can grow back body parts for the animal. It's not animal abuse we just don't want to risk a human life over a rat's - Katekat123

I also blame executive meddling for trying to make rats the evil version of mice. In fact, if a story or such happens to feature either a heroic rat or a villainous mouse, someone might want to change it to fit the old, outdated and ridiculous stereotype. Remember Chuck E. Cheese? He was originally a rat but was changed to a mouse in the later years. Or how about the Mouse King villain in The Nutcracker? Andrey Konchalovskiy changed him into the "Rat King" in his feature film version of the story because he could not accept a mouse as a villain due to Mickey Mouse's popularity and iconic status. I find that to be ridiculous. Artists and such should be able to have the freedom to design whatever characters they want without someone having to change it for them.

I have no problem with rats. I even took care of couple rats for one of my old teachers one summer. Rats actually make good pets and it's the feral ones that carry diseases. And I don't see what people think is so scary about them. I honestly don't get everyone's deal with rats/mice. They don't deserve the hate they get.

They are so intelligent as well as adorable, plus an ability to develop morality, the bad rep only really comes from the plague, which was the fleas that caused it not rats, if they didn't live on the rats they would've found another creature to live on...

22 Foxes

Also, the furry fandom portrays these poor creatures as sex symbols, which is wrong since they're not sex symbols and should never be.

Why do people portray them as sly animals! They also may kill livestock BUT PEOPLE PORTRAY THEM AS EVIL! #Payback! Also foxes would have no way of knowing that the chicken belongs to a person! People are such idiots! - MichaelAftonUTTP

Yes. They are my favorite animal. We as them as livestock killers but fox hunters kill the more brutally

Foxes are beautiful. Have you ever made eye contact with a fox? It feels amazing. How can you not love foxes?

23 Hippopotami

Often thought as cute or funny creatures by the media, but hippos kill more people than any other African animal, and are, in fact, the most dangerous land animal. So you have no hope for escape if you see one chasing after you.

Not all hippos can be dangerous because they save other animals from crocodiles.

24 Tarantula Tarantulas comprise a group of large and often hairy arachnids belonging to the Theraphosidae family of spiders, of which approximately 900 species have been identified.
25 Cats The "House Cat", also known as the Domestic Cat or the Feral Cat, is a small feline, a good hunter, and comes in a variety of colors and fur patterns. Contrary to popular belief, however, they are not truly domesticated. They are highly intelligent and good at problem solving.

There is no such things as cats that are "bad luck" and Sphinx cats may look odd, but I wouldn't say ugly. And contrary to popular belief they are not actually hairless. It only looks that way because it's so light and short. The superstitious belief of black cats bringing bad luck and Sphinx being ugly is pure nonsense!

Especially the black cats and Persian cats.

Cats are not evil and they are devoted to their owners

They're often hated for looking "ugly" or having a "smooshed face", when they, like the black cats, can be as good and well cared for as any other cat.

26 Anaconda Anacondas are group of large snakes of the genus Eunectes. They are large snakes found in tropical South America.
27 White Tigers

They are cutie pies

28 Blobfish The blobfish is a deep sea fish of the family Psychrolutidae. It inhabits the deep waters off the coasts of mainland Australia and Tasmania, as well as the waters of New Zealand.

They look like the picture on land. Underwater, they supposedly look much cuter. Blobfish look the way they do because they need that type of body for the pressure. When it's underwater, where all the pressure is, it looks near-enough like a completely normal fish. - LemonComputer

Blowfish aren't that ugly. They're actually pretty cute. - Oliveleaf

Ha ha this creature looks funny.

Save blobfish

29 Vultures

Vultures stop black death , tuberculosis, anthrax and rabies.but they dropped by 99 percent in India in 20 years because of a drug in cattle and we're are still being neglected by popular culture and shown as evil villains or goofy
Check in Google for vulture animations and compare their negativity with other birds

Cute vultre I love you

30 Dolphins

How are dolphins misunderstood? They are one of most loved animals in the world. Who ever put this on the list in an idiot.

Dolphins are misunderstood as better than they actually are.

What?! Dolphins have a bad rap?!

Smiling rapists

31 Elephant Elephants are large mammals of the family Elephantidae and the order Proboscidea. Two species are traditionally recognized, the African elephant and the Asian elephant, although some evidence suggests that African bush elephants and African forest elephants are separate species.

Wait what? I find elephants more loved than hated

32 Bumble Bees

When somebody tells me they got stung by a bee, I always say, "Poor bee." You know why? Because if you get stung once or twice, you'll live. Most definitely. But bees will die. Most definitely. Besides, being scared gets you more prone to be stung because bees mistake it as aggression. If you're not scared, they sting you because you mess with them. If you feel like they stung you for no reason, stop being selfish! The bee died while you just got a little owie! It died, okay? The world bumble bee population is going down and nobody seems to care much. Yes, there's honey, but bees pollinate 90% of crops.

People fear them because they have stingers. They think bees will sting you for no reason, but that's not true. They will only sting you if you mess with them. And then the bee dies afterword, but no one seems to care.

Bees may have stingers, but at least they make honey. It's the wasps that are useless. - Minecraftcrazy530

Not true wasps control population of other species so no they are useful - Hummingbirdf

There was one in my class the other day. Everyone freaked out. I was confused by the panic and felt sorry for the bee. I wonder who was panicking the most.. The bee or the people? - LemonComputer

33 Ferrets The ferret is the domesticated form of the European polecat, a mammal belonging to the same genus as the weasel, Mustela of the family Mustelidae.

Not to mention that the black-footed ferret was once an endangered species that was almost extinct in the wild, but was saved by conservation groups (Yay! ). It also doesn't help that even not as viewed negatively as weasels, ferrets still get a bad reputation from the same weasel-haters.

They are often stereotyped that they're aggressive rat-like creatures but they're related to the weasel family (Mustelinae) not rodents! once trained they're the most cutest and sweetest creature of all and if they are aggressive its because of poor handling or neglect if you don't train your dog to behave your going to have of problems but once trained they can become a loving family pet same goes for ferrets. - StarPitfan

I own a ferret and I have never met an animal more gentle, kind, tame, and playful. My ferret has never done anything aggressive. They are some of the best pets hands down. They are absolutely adorable and highly intelligent. They're cuddly and very, very playful. They are not rodents; they are actually extremely capable predators related to weasels; mustelids of the genus mustela. They can learn tricks. They are lively and interactive. They will sleep in your shirt and lay like a baby in your arms. They will play with cat toys and go through tunnels and chase their owners. Ferrets are astounding pets.

My aunt's sister got a ferret a few years ago. She named him Walter.

34 Alligator An alligator is a crocodilian in the genus Alligator of the family Alligatoridae. The two living species are the American alligator and the Chinese alligator. Additionally, several extinct species of alligator are known from fossil remains.
35 Jackals The jackal is a small omnivorous mammal of the genus Canis, which also includes the wolf and dog. While the word "jackal" has historically been used for many small canids, in modern use it most commonly refers to three species: the closely related black-backed jackal and side-striped jackal of sub-Saharan ...read more.

They're mistaken as cowardly scavengers when they're actually very brave when feeding on a carcass and also hunt prey much larger than they are.

Why do people portray them as weak and cowardly! They can rip an animal up in seconds! Not so cowardly now huh! - MichaelAftonUTTP

36 Ants Ants are eusocial insects of the family Formicidae and, along with the related wasps and bees, belong to the order Hymenoptera.

Thousands of ants are dying each day. When people keep killing ants, it's actually really mean, because they can't do anything but try to run away. Imagine there are these giants who keep smashing everyone. That's probably exactly how ants are feeling. - Oliveleaf

I find them interesting. - LemonComputer

They bite you when you attack them.(all they want is food.)

That’s why carpenter ants exist. They are good for the environment and bite you a lot.

37 Cockroaches

They are worse than rats I bet. They are almost impossible to get rid of.

They are so misunderstood poor cockroaches most cockroaches are harmless

These little creatures are EVIL.

I don't understand what they do wrong. They just run around and do nothing else. - LemonComputer

38 Leopard The leopard is one of the five "big cats" in the genus Panthera. It is one of the most adaptable and the most widespread big cat; it's secrets being:well camouflaged fur; its opportunistic hunting behaviour, broad diet, and strength to move heavy carcasses into trees; its ability to adapt to various ...read more.

39 Tasmanian Devils
40 Skunks

They only spray people when they get scared. If you don't want to get spayed don't go scaring skunks!

Skunks are very beautiful animals. And they only spray if they feel threatened or their provoked.

41 Toads

R. i. p. Slippy

42 Rabbits Rabbits are small mammals in the family Leporidae of the order Lagomorpha, found in several parts of the world.
43 Platypus The platypus, also known as the duck-billed platypus, is a semiaquatic egg-laying mammal endemic to eastern Australia, including Tasmania.
44 Ravens

It's stupid that people think they represent evil. They're just a bird. And they're smartest of all birds. Just because they're black and they make a somewhat weird crow doesn't make them evil.

Ravens are not evil and are very smart

Corvids (i.e. crows, ravens) are supposed to be very intelligent birds, yet people see and mistake them as 'evil' just because of their appearance. Yes, I know you don't want them bothering you, but that doesn't make them evil as a whole.

45 Coyotes

Coyotes are awesome.

Nice coy coy

46 Sea Lamprey
47 Praying Mantis

Often hated and misunderstood by anyone who hates insects or thinks they're scary or disgusting, when the fact that a mantis can be a very cool bug. Like the bat and spider, a mantis is also helpful in eating harmful insects.

I agree. They are awesome. - SigmaV84

48 Daddy Long Legs (Harvestman)

It's sad that everyone thinks they are the most venomous spider on the world. In fact, they have no venom, so they are not spiders. They're order Oppilliones and not order arachne. They're cute, too! - SigmaV84

49 Birds

How are birds misunderstood?

I love birds

50 Deer Deer are the ruminant mammals forming the family Cervidae. The two main groups are the Cervinae, including the muntjac, the fallow deer and the chital, and the Capreolinae, including the elk, reindeer, the Western roe deer, and the Eurasian elk.

Like cattle, most think of deer as nice or gentle, but can be quite dangerous. Deer especially can be very aggressive during the mating season.

I don't really like hunting animals at all.
