Top Ten Most Misunderstood Fictional CharactersPony
The Contenders: Page 2
She isn't from the future either, it is confirmed that Blaze is in fact a native of the Sol Dimension and not the future.
She is just a video game character in the (later) Sonic the Hedgehog games starting with Sonic Rush for the Nintendo DS. Has nothing to do with vintage cartoons.
Mistaken as a classic cartoon character when he is just a video game icon. Yes, Sonic had animated series, but so did a lot of video game franchises. No matter what anyone says, Sonic will always be a gaming icon to me. The fandom also ruined Sonic's rep so it's been hard for the general public to see Sonic as what it is, rather than what it isn't.
Love the games, hate the fanbase.
Often seen as a dumb character when he was never dumb. Just naive or gullible which is not the same as being dumb.
She may be creepy but she's actually the most misunderstood character in Moomin.
She's only hated because she's popular - Discord1
Zoroark and it's pre-evo Zorua are mistaken for being based on wolves and werewolves when they are actually based on the kitsune, like the Vulpix/Ninetales line are, instead.
It's a little fox, you peeps. There is no "wolf" in Zorua at all.
I also hate it when fans pair her up with Tails and say that "it's true that Tails and Cream shown romantic interest towards each other! I ship them! TailsXCream forever! ", which is so wrong. To be honest, Tails and Cream NEVER shown any romantic interest towards each other in any of the games, comics or shows, and fans do nothing but make junk up. They may interacted at least once, but none of it was romantic interaction and I can easily imagine Tails saying the same things to Sonic or someone like he did to Cream, anyway.
She...Is...NOT...SEXY. God, why do people think she is when she is just six years old?! It doesn't help that she's a rabbit and that her name is 'Cream', and this could be why the public thinks rather disturbing thoughts about her. If she was a different species and didn't had a name that sounded fitting for "Rule 34", then she would be more tolerable and much safer from the dirty minds out there.
She isn't named "Cream" for the reason that you think, peeps. Her name comes from the fact that she likes ice cream. (or cream cheese, in contrast to her Chao companion, whose name is Cheese)
Silver is not a terrible character by any means, yet peeps think he's one because of the game he made his debut in. (Sonic 2006, a widely hated game by many, but really isn't as bad a game as many think) They also think he's on drugs because of the shape of his quills, which to them resembles a cannabis leaf. (but he isn't on drugs or anything) Silver is like the Sonic equivalent of Trunks from Dragon Ball Z, plus his psychic powers shows that he still can be cool.
He Should Be Number 1 Because He Has More Hurtful And Cruel Its No Use Memes Than Princess Celestia's Troll Memes Combined
She only appeared in SatAM, the comics and a cameo in Sonic Spinball, which was made in a different time. None of the recent Sonic games or shows feature her or the rest of the Freedom Fighters and other characters exclusive to the shows and comics, save for Sonic Boom. The whole Sonic 'shipping war between Sally Acorn and Amy Rose doesn't really help that much, either. Most fans are more familiar with Amy than with Sally nowadays.
You all know that this was coming. Aside from stealing the spotlight from other Sonic characters, Shadow is also misunderstood by many because he is wrongfully seen and mistaken as an emo, a 'Blood Knight', or a creepy serial killer with no remorse. Last time I have checked, he is none of those. He does care for others that he considers to be his 'best friend' (i.e. Maria, Rouge, Omega), and even if he turned into an anti-hero in later installments, he's still Sonic's archrival.
I also don't want Shadow being similar or compared to Karel from Fire Emblem: Blazing Sword because Karel is a different kind of anti-hero (one that was never villainous and was on the hero side all along) than Shadow is. If any character Fire Emblem: Blazing Sword were to parallel Shadow, it would be Jaffar, not Karel. (Why? cause both Shadow and Jaffar started out as villainous or on the villains' team at first before joining the heroes, and both had a female best friend)
Which is the one true pairing? Rouge with Shadow, or Rouge with Knuckles? Last time I have checked, there is NO canon Sonic shipping in any of the Sonic games, T.V. shows or comics. Although a few are implied, such as Sonic/Sally in SatAM, Tails/Cosmo in Sonic X and Sonic/Amy in Sonic Boom, but none of them were serious romance. And most importantly, Tails and Cream shown absolutely no romantic interest towards each other. Anyway, back on the subject... Just because Rouge the Bat is a flirt, doesn't mean you have to ship her with every fictional character in existence.
He is a GREAT hero. Deserves more credit.
Awesome hero of a good video game franchise. While poor Fox may not be as praised or well known as Mario or Link, he still has potential to become a major icon for Nintendo in the future. I can hope so, because after all, the best-reviewed game in the series, Star Fox 64, was innovative at the time for introducing the rumble feature that is common in most game controllers today.
What angers me is when Fox is mistaken as someone who is similar to Simba from The Lion King (which I hate that character and the whole movie he comes from with a burning passion) when they're nothing alike. Fox didn't start out bratty like Simba did, that's for sure.
Krystal has been ruined by the furry fandom big time with their disgusting fanfics and art they make of her, it's even worse if they have nothing to do with Star Fox, despite Krystal being from Star Fox. If you have played the Star Fox games she's in, then you will find out that she is absolutely nothing like what furries thought of her to be.
Very Smart Character In Reality
People see him as an annoying snot who deserves to be shot, yet Slippy manages to be a helpful teammate of Fox when it comes to finding out enemy weaknesses. He is not that bad.
My take On Slippy
Annoying But Very Helpful
Dexter Is Hilarious
Daxter is, in fact, an Ottsel, which is a fictional cross between an otter and a weasel. Although he was originally human, Daxter became an Ottsel after falling into dark eco in the beginning of The Precursor Legacy. G'day.
Often mistaken as annoying or a Timon ripoff when he is none of those. First, he is a fictional weasel/otter hybrid, not a meerkat. And finally, second, Daxter can be useful, helpful, and is actually very funny.
P.S. I dislike Timon, and The Lion King as a whole, with a burning passion.
Often hated by fans who prefer her pink-furred appearance in Star Fox 64/Zero when the fact is that Command! Katt is still the same character she was before. (i.e. her theme returns, her ship is still called the Catspaw, the list goes on)
Often mistaken by fans as Fox McCloud's love interest when she never shown any romantic feelings for him anywhere in Command. Being the children of the original Star Fox team members (James McCloud and Peppy Hare) doesn't make them a couple either, so if that were the case, then their relationship would be platonic, not romantic. Let's not forget that Lucy has been good friends with Krystal and felt sad when Fox and Krystal broke up, so she's like a shipper on deck for the two.
There is still the ongoing debate of whether he's dead or alive, yet he always appears in the last stage of every Star Fox game since Star Fox 64 with the exception of Adventures to help out his son, whom we all know as Fox McCloud. I do like James McCloud, though.
