Top Ten Most Misunderstood People of All Time

The Top Ten
1 Mahatma Gandhi Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi was the preeminent leader of the Indian independence movement in British-ruled India.

I honestly don't get why Ghandi was misunderstood, but he stopped the British people from ruling over India on August 4th 1947, in a peaceful but also in a very brave way.

He's a brave Indian ICON.

Donald Trump can be an ass sometimes, but at least he's thinking about the country and trying to change things for the better, although people aren't making it easy. We'd be worse off if it were Clinton because she's already proven that she's not for us. She's for herself, other countries, and big businesses. Trump has been president for how long now, and people are still rioting, bashing him, and everything else they can think of. It really is quite pathetic.

He is NOT racist! He said nothing about kicking out Muslims that are already in the US.

Once again, agree.

12 Oliver Cromwell

He was a tyrannical bastard. What's not to understand?

A member of the Democratic Party, she was the party's nominee for president in the 2016 presidential election, becoming the first woman to win a presidential nomination by a major U.S. political party; Clinton won the popular vote, but lost the Electoral College vote, thereby losing the election to Donald Trump.

I am pretty sure hitler is more misunderstood than trump. Hitler was a bad guy but was he also kind of a good guy too? I mean he helped Germany's economy during the secound world war he even ordered his men to guard the memorial of vimy ridge. So Hitler was also kind of a good guy also but it is still bad for what he had done to the jews.

Shame there is no time travel gates like "Goodnight Sweetheart"

He is way more misunderstood than trump.

17 Tammy Faye Messner
18 Karl Marx Karl Heinrich Marx ( 5 May 1818 – 14 March 1883) was a German philosopher, critic of political economy, economist, historian, sociologist, political theorist, journalist and socialist revolutionary. His best-known titles are the 1848 pamphlet The Communist Manifesto and the four-volume Das Kapital (1867–1883). Marx's political and philosophical thought had enormous influence on subsequent intellectual, economic, and political history. His name has been used as an adjective, a noun, and a school of social theory.

First off, Marx nothing to do with Stalin or Mao. He died in 1883, well before the Soviet Union began or Mao coming into power. Second of all, he is not the inventor of communism, communist ideologies existed before Marx. He is one of the greatest philosophers in history.

20 Marilyn Manson Brian Hugh Warner, better known by his stage name Marilyn Manson, is an American musician, songwriter, actor, painter, multimedia artist, author, and former music journalist.

Marilyn Manson doesn't do anything but he's blamed for so much. His music does have meaning even if some people don't understand it, and even though he looks a little awkward with the makeup and weird costumes, he's actually pretty handsome without it. He's also very nice and very smart in real life. And he does look and act more normally when functioning in regular society. He doesn't deserve all the hate and criticism he gets. Personally, I love Marilyn Manson!

Fully sick lad

21 Robert Maudsley

He's been dubbed Britain's most dangerous prisoner and the Real Life Hannibal Lecter. He was deemed too dangerous for a normal cell and was sentenced to life in solitary confinement. He even earned the nickname "Hannibal the Cannibal" for allegedly eating one man's brain, but there is no proof of this and autopsy showed that the brain was intact and no part was missing confirming his cannibalism to be a mere rumor. He only killed 4 people and while they were brutal, all were pedophiles, child molesters, sex offenders, or murderers. He doesn't seem like a serial killer to me. He seems more like a vigilante because now there's 4 less scumbags in the world. He also has a sad background. Although he has showed signs of mental stability over the past few years, it is highly unlikely that he will ever be released, which isn't fair for someone like him. He seems like a very misunderstood person and I actually feel sorry for him. He seems like an interesting person to interview and know ...more

22 Aung San Suu Kyi
23 Ozzy Osbourne John Michael "Ozzy" Osbourne was born on December 3, 1948. He is also known as ''The Prince of Darkness''. Ozzy is an English singer, songwriter, and television personality. He rose to prominence in the early 1970s as the lead vocalist of the band Black Sabbath. Osbourne was fired from Black Sabbath in 1979 and has since had a successful solo career, releasing 11 studio albums.

Ozzy isn't the only celebrity or musician that's done drugs and alcohol and things that aren't exactly smart. Lots of celebrities, especially musicians do, but that doesn't make them bad or stupid. And Ozzy is awesome. He's one of the biggest and greatest musicians there are and personally, I'm a huge fan! I'd love to meet him of I ever could.
