Top Ten Modern Disney and Pixar Movies Comparable to Classics

We all know Disney, right? They had classics, then new movies. But some of the new movies can stack up with the classics. I'm not saying they are better than the classics, but they are comparable, and could stand a chance against them.
The Top Ten
1 Tangled

Tangled is a really fun movie. Rapunzel is cute, and Flynn Ryder is hilarious. Rapunzel teaches girls to not be afraid to step outside of your comfort zone/don't be afraid to try new things.

Tangled is very underrated by critics. It takes a classic fairytale, and adds a larger plot, and a few additional twists.

Tangled is a very good movie. I love it because its based on my favorite fairy tale and because its underrated.

Was my favourite film from 2010 to about 2012, I used to watch it everyday when I came home from school. It's mad still

2 Big Hero 6

I love this movie so much! It's my favorite Disney movie and it's definitely one of the best!

I love this movie so much! It's my favorite! Definitely one of the best!

Hiro is my favorite Disney character EVER!

The movie is a great new movie made by Disneu, it's a masterpiece.

3 Up

Up is one of the best modern Pixar movies I have ever seen. They take a sad life story, and introduce a few other hilarious characters, and they made it funny, and entertaining.

I really find myself too much in tears at the very thought of this movie, I can honestly say it was too sad for me to enjoy...

Up is just a really good movie. It teaches that people may die but dreams don't.

This film is so amazing. It makes me cry.

4 Toy Story 3

Taking the first 2 of the Pixar movies, the third one has a similar feel to the first two.

5 Wreck-It Ralph

If I forgot any other Disney/Pixar movies that should be on here, go and add them.

Thanks for reading!

The beginning of the movie hits me right in the nostalgias, which is weird because I'm a child.

Wreck it Ralph is AMAZING!

6 Frozen

Beautifully filmed, an original storyline and sisters love saves the day not the archetypal prince, in this, Hans is evil and a liar. I think Elsa is complex and engaging because she's multi faceted, brave and yes a bit bloody minded and lashing out because of her squashed powers, and although the storyline is not as cohesive as Tangled which is a marvellous film, Frozen is just lavish and Elsa is bewitching, there's no Disney heroine like her.

Please, don't attack me here. Frozen is said to be overrated by its fans, but underrated by its haters. Yes, the haters give no respect to the complex plot, the setup of the characters, and all the resemblences made.

That "Big Hero 6" is higher than this is a joke. That movie hardly feels "Disney" at all, and I'm pretty sure Walt would never have adapted some obscure comic book that hasn't aged well.

Oh Hell No
Don't Even Get Me Started On This Overrated That Needs To Die

7 The Princess and the Frog

This Disney movie is more comparable to the classics because there were clearly defining morals in the movie the main ones being work hard to achieve your dreams but have your priorities straight

Although it isn't better than Cinderella or The Little Mermaid, it's still a decent princess movie.

8 Finding Nemo
9 Monsters Inc.

Love Love Love this film!

10 Cars

The now second weakest of Pixar's offerings comparable to the classics? I don't think so. Incidentally, it's only the second weakest to its own sequel.

Very Underrated And Fun To Watch And This Was Part Of My Childhood

Cars was a funny and fast and slow paced movie at the same time.

The Contenders
11 Monsters University

The original maybe (big maybe), but not this one.

12 Lilo & Stitch

No way. And Stitch totally doesn't deserve to be as iconic as Mickey, Donald, and Goofy.

13 Inside Out

Well, at the very least this marks a return to form for Pixar.

Definitely unique like older Pixar movies.

14 Moana
15 Enchanted
16 Zootopia

No, the classics weren't ninety or minutes of lame jokes and blunt sociopolitical commentary.

A great movie

17 Ratatouille
18 Free Birds
19 A Bug's Life

What do you qualify as modern?

20 The Good Dinosaur
21 Minions

Not Disney or Disney-Pixar. Same with Home and Mr Peabody & Sherman

22 Over the Hedge

Not Disney or Pixar. TRhe Dreamworks logo is right there in the image.

23 The Hunchback of Notre Dame II
24 Home
25 Mr. Peabody & Sherman
