Moana finally meets up with Maui and demands to come along with her to restore and return the heart of Te Fiti and Maui breaks out into a song number where he basically brags about all the things his has given to the world while repeatedly saying "Your're Welcome! " and Moana becomes so mismerized by the song number she fails to see that Maui is leading her into a trap as he traps her in a cave so he can take her boat so he can retrieve his magical hook
While Maui battles with Te Kai Moana discovers that Te Kai is actually Te Fiti corrupted with out her heart as she tells the ocean to clear a path so she can restore Te Fiti's heart transforming her back to normal so she can heal the ocean and islands.
After Maui leaves Moana is left in a hopeless situation as she tells the ocean to find someone else to restore the heart of Te Fiti before her grandmother Tala appears to her to inspire her to find her true calling as Moana now filled with courage she retrieve the heart and sets sail back to Te Fiti's island.
While in Lalotai the realm of the monsters to retrieve Maui's magical fishhook Maui and Moana come across Tamatoa a giant coconut crab who's in possession of the magic fishhook as Moana distracts him while Maui attempts to get his hook back as Tamatoa breaks out into a song number
Moana and Maui come across Kakamora a group of coconut pirates who come seeking the heart as the two prepare to fight them off.
Moana returns to confront Te Kai as Maui also returns to buy her time so she can fins Ta Fitit as he battles with Te Kai.
While on her death bed Grandma Tala tells Moana to set out to begin her journey and restore the heart of Ta Fiti.
After Maui's fishhook is damaged after narrowing escaping from Te Kai Maui is furious believing if he were to go fight Te Kai again he will lose his hook along with his powers as he angrily abandons Moana leaving her alone with no way to restore the heart.
After Heihei keeps falling in the ocean the ocean itself becomes fed up and stuffs the chicken in a basket and opens the door to the raft and shoves him in it.
