He was a scoring machine just before Gordie Howe arrived on the scene. His awards and milestones we're decades ahead of its time before some super star arrived in Canada named Wayne Gretzky. He was the Lionel Conacher award as Canada Male athlete of the year 3 times. That's how important he is to Canada hockey.
