Jackie EvanchoUploaded by BobG
Jacqueline Marie "Jackie" Evancho is an American classical crossover singer who gained wide recognition at an early age and, since 2009, has issued an EP and five albums, including a platinum and gold album and three Billboard 200 top 10 debuts .
At 13 years of age, only 3 years in the business, Jackie seems to break conventional expectations without breaking a sweat. In her short time, she has set records that some entertainers take an entire career to achieve and other records have never never been achieved by anyone else. This is a testament to her incredibly moving vocals that make your heart stir like never before. She seems to be one performance, one CD, or one event away from breaking it all wide open to something more than we have ever seen before--well, even more than she has already accomplished. Her teenage years will be something to experience as her voice matures! Make sure and have a ticket--you won't want to miss the ride.
Her voice is one of the most beautiful things ever heard and she is only 11 years old. She voice is truly incredible so much so that most people have a hard time describing the sheer wonder and awe it inspires. The only thing more remarkable than her voice is her humility.
I agree completely with all the other comments, that Miss Jackie Evancho has the most beautiful singing voice. Her voice is almost like a new sound, never before heard on earth. And then, when she sings the great classical songs, like Nessun Dorma and Ombra Mai Fu, and she does it with such an outstanding talent, her performance can best be described in terms like "magnificent", "heavenly" or "out of this world".
Jackie has a warmth and emotion in her voice that defies description. And, of course, her technical execution is absolutely perfect-- not to mention perfect pitch. I was fortunate enough to see and head her in person in Dallas. I have attended countless other concerts and musicals over the years, and I must say no singer has ever impressed me like Jackie Evaancho!. Move heaven and earth if you must, but if you ever have the chance go hear and see her in person!
Jackie Evancho has one of the most magnificent voices of this or any century; truly a voice for the ages.
Jackie is one of a bare handful of musicians in history who can literally "become" the music, and is also one of the very few singers today who requires no electronic enhancements; she is in fact better than the equipment.
Seeing her in live performance is like seeing the legendary performers of old; any music lover should make it a lifetime goal to see Jackie Evancho in concert.
Clear, pure, and beautiful. Her voice has a bell-like quality and her pitch is perfect. She does not slide up to notes in her upper register. She goes right to the center of the note every time. There is no audible break as she changes from low, to mid, to upper register. THroughout her range, her voice has the same rich tone.
I have heard a lot of beautiful voices in my time but I have never had one affect me the way Jackie's does. Those rich, buttery smooth, velvety, sweet, ringing tones she produces are absolutely awe-inspiring. The voice of the millennium! She will shake your soul and she is only eleven!
Good singers can transform a song. Jackie can also transform and transport the listener, to a place where all things are possible, with unparalleled sound, even while showing that transparent normalcy now stands out from the crowd of gimmick-mongers.
I've never seen anyone become immersed in the music the way Jackie does. The transformation from exuberant eleven year old, amazed at the fuss and her surroundings, to serious a serious musician who becomes a part of the music she's performing, and then back to the humble and thankful young lady is something to see live, and up close. You'll never forget it. I won't.
I have never heard a voice as beautiful as Jackie possesses in all my years of listening to music and song of all kinds. She is indeed unique and as she matures I feel that her voice will bring transformation to millions and millions as she has already. She has the potential to heal the world. May she live long and bring light, joy, peace and love to all who see and hear her perform. I feel blessed and privileged to be here while Jackie is here. Thank you.
Never has a human voice even approached the sound of this beautiful Muse. She is unique in every measurable way - and in some of the intangibles as well. Her singing inspires awe, and not only for reason of her age (13) but more for ability to make the listener feel as though they were living the song. That is the power that Jackie possesses - and she dispenses it with a charm that so embraces the listener as to make you her dearest fan before the song is through. This girl has a voice for the ages. I shudder to think of what is to come as she matures and her instrument reaches its full potential.
However great someone's talent or abilities are, there is always room for improvement in the quest for perfection. Only God is perfect. But Jackie is far superior in all aspects of her talents and abilities than anyone in the business today, young and not so young. She has taught me much.
Jackie has taught me that we are never too young nor too old to develop our talents and abilities and reach for the stars. It takes time, discipline and determination. And the support of family and friends. Without these, it is a lonely, lonely world out there and within.
The most beautiful voice in recorded history. She has it all: perfect pitch, beautiful tone and phrasing, can also sing harmony in duets.
Jackie is great already, at age eleven. She continues to improve as time goes by. We can only marvel at her sound now, and wonder what the future will bring as she matures.
I do not recall a more a pure and beautiful tone in my life. Her beautiful tone is present throughout her wide range.
No one comes close! Every song she sings becomes the definitive version, whether it's The Lord's Prayer, The Impossible Dream, OMBC, and the list goes on. No singer has ever connected with her audience as she does: brings tears to your eyes and joy to your heart.
Just saw Jackie in concert. Absolutely, magically surreal. Before that night I never thought it possible to fall so completely in love with a voice.
Jackie Evancho has simply the most beautiful voice I have ever heard in my lifetime (I am 64 years old! ). Nobody else I have ever heard even comes close.
When you just listen to a voice and your not distracted by the staging, the exotic dancing, the vulgar performances, you will want to listen to this voice above all. Jackie Evancho's voice will carry you away to a place of peace and joy, leaving your day to day stresses behind. It will be hard for you to listen to other voices, she is just that good.
Jackie has the most beautiful voice I have ever heard. She combines her beautiful voice with interpretive skills that most adult singers will never achieve.
Simply one of THE great voices of our lifetimes. The emotion in that child, and her ability to convey it to her audience - on the wings of the beauty of that voice. The package is stunning.
Howie Mandel asked Jackie "Have you ever swallowed an adult? " which is, of course, absurd as no mere mortal adult could ever hope to sing as heavenly as Jackie. A far more reasonable question would have been, "Jackie, have you ever swallowed an Angel? " I am in awe of Jackie's voice. She simply caresses each note and holds it in a loving embrace and her ability to do so is deeply humbling.
I think this is a great category for Jackie. I'm not sure I'd put her number one, but she should be up there. In this category, I think it is more about her natural gift and not her body of work. I think Adele is legitimate top five, but I would put Streisand, Whitney, and Karen Carpenter there as well. I realize that's all female but I think the category lends itself to that.
In a cynical world, here is Spirit and joy found. There is healing in this most beautiful of voices. You know she gets help with every song she sings and her real voice coach isn't her earthly one.
Jackie's voice is beautiful but even more so her heart comes through to you in her songs and they touch people very deeply. With some of her songs you are moved to tears as Your Love and Open Fields of Grace does to me on her new album.
