Top 10 Most Beautiful U.S. States
Of course California is the most beautiful. I mean, it's got everything! From breathtaking mountains, to green deserts, to great beaches, to grasslands that go on forever. We've got it. Best state for pretty much anything you can imagine.
California is beautiful, but mostly artificially. Los Angeles, Burbank, San Francisco, Redding, and San Diego are just some of the great towns in California. The Golden State is definitely a top contender for the best in the Union, so YAY!
Obviously California is the most beautiful state on the planet. Always sunny, nice weather and nice place to be.
Just go to Venice Beach, the sunset is beautiful there. I even took a picture on my phone.
It's simply magical. The views are breathtaking. Has everything life has to offer. So much culture and love for nature
How is this amazingly wonderful and beautiful state below California? This is ridiculous!
Is this a joke? Hawaii is easily #1, with California at #2. After that I would maybe say Alaska.
Oregon is the best state in overall majesticnest. From the coast and the dunes to the deserts and mountains. Oregon is epic and think is better than Utah. I feel like this place should have more national parks though. Like here are some invented national parks that I think should be created: Columbia river islands national park, Columbia river estuary national park and Oregon basin national park. To be honest, I think crater lake is not a good national park. The lake is the deepest in the country but it is dead. There are zero native fish to the lake. Not many people visit this national park compared to Zion and Grand Canyon. I think Columbia river islands would be amazing. Like in the Columbia river there are those islands and they should be protected. Well overall Oregon should be number one and it is an amazing state. #columbia river islands national park!
I just drove from Phoenix, AZ to Seattle, WA. I was taken aback by Oregon. I've driven to NY from AZ several times taking both the northern and southern route. I must say Oregon is the most beautiful state I have ever seen by far. So much so I'm writing this post, something I've never done before. I just can't get over the natural beauty of this state! Absolutely breathtaking! My 16 year old son even took notice and put down his computer. Now that's beauty!
Oregon is surrounded with beautiful mountain valleys and the cleanest us city portland Oregon it was voted to have the best state parks and has various tourist attractions such as, Crater Lake, painted hills, Diamond lake, multnomah falls, The gorge and Oregons unique coast line. There is many other beautiful things about Oregon if u don't beileve me come see for yourself
I know Oregon is nice and stuff, but number 3! we have lots of forests and nice camping sights. GO OREGON!
Breath-taking beauty which includes the awe-inspiring green forests, spectacular mountains, the Puget Sound is the home of the mighty Orca whales. The flowers are bountiful, colorful and some aromatic. The national parks, waterfalls, hiking trails all are awesome. We love our
wild life and our pets. Our weather is free from hurricanes, deadly tornadoes and long cold winters. Washington state is gorgeous.
I'll never forget my first time to the Mt Baker National Forest. Those mountains are simply breathtaking. I have been to the Sierra Nevadas, and while they are beautiful, the Cascades take the cake. Not to mention Puget Sound. Seattle has to be one of the most beautiful major cities in the country.
Washington State is by far The Most Beautiful State in the U.S. containing The Most Beautiful Trees and Flowers, snow capped Mountains, Islands, Coast line and Desert, and Wonderful Ranches,Beautiful Scenery, so much to offer within a State... Colorado State being a very close 2nd is another Beautiful State...

We have 17 out of the top 20 tallest mountains in America, over half of the worlds glaciers, more coastline than the rest of the US combined, we have North America's largest oil field, we have America's two largest forests, we have no plants that are poisonous to the touch, etc.
Alaska has nmany beautiful glaciers, and a lot of wildlife, and even seven national parks!
Arizona is amazing the grand canyon, desserts, and other stuff is amazing!
Utah is uber underrated and diverse, ranging from palms and red rocks in the south west, to some of the best skiing and impressive mountain ranges on earth to the north, to some of the most unearthly beautiful canyons, arches etc. in the desert all across the south.
I live in Oregon, and I think Utah should be #1. It's out of this world!
Utah is THE most beautiful state.
Its very scenic.
It's way too humid sometimes, old slow drivers rule the roads, and it has bipolar weather.
BUT it has such gorgeous beaches, the sand is white, the water is blue, the night life is stunning, the lights are bright, the music pumps to the rhythm of your heart, you feel the breeze and the sun hit you most of the day, it's just such gorgeous scenery. So much variety.
Very under rated.
My beautiful centennial state should be higher. There's a variety of different terrain. To the east, there's the plains. Near the middle, the gorgeous Rockies. To West, a more deserty area. I have always been drawn to the mountains though. When I lived in Denver, I would see them in the distance. It's a great place for nature lovers and people like me who like nice views
Absolutely gorgeous state. I have lived all over the US and Colorado is the most gorgeous in my book. Hawaii and states in the PNW are also gorgeous, but there's something refreshing about the Rocky Mountains.
With so much to offer to anyone who wishes to explore, Colorado is the most diverse state when it comes to landscapes. There is no reason why it shouldn't be #1 on every list.
Colorado should be #1 on every list. It's like California, Montana, Utah and Oregon combined, but better.
As someone who can spell beautiful correctly, this state is the absolute most beautiful state in the United States.
California is beautiful, but you can't afford to see any of it (the time or the money). The people are miserable, there's no sense of community, and the state want some you to be poor.
As a staunch conservative living here against my will (parents moved here about a decade ago), I can't wait to save up enough money to move our construction business to Montana. Hopefully I won't be chastised for coming from a backwards state. Anyways, aside from the political discussion, the absolute beauty and the sense of peace you get in Montana is unparalleled.
The most gorgeous US state by FAR. Just search up pictures of Montana. The scenery unbelievable. It's very mountainous and is comprised of many gorgeous lakes and meadows. Also, there's a ton of wildlife such as black bears, bison, bobcats, gray wolves, fox, deer, sheep, and much more. Montana is seriously a dream.
The reason why Montana is not number #1 is because most people are voting for their own state, California looks like hell on Earth, I don't understand how they are first place.
There have lot gracier and mountains and desert and forest! We should make Montana first! How Calfiona is 1st place?!? It is hell place not beauftuil like Montana! Calfoiona should be least!
When you hear about the prettiest states, I never hear anything about Tennessee. I don't understand. Everything is so green and clean, even the outskirts of Nashville are very green. And then there are the smokey mountains in the east which are breathtaking. As someone who comes from California, even I was surprised at how beautiful Tennessee was.
My home state, absolutely stunning mountains in the east. Just that part alone makes it one of the best!
Has anyone seen the Tennessee mountains before? Breathtaking!
Cannot judge what this beautiful state has to offer by rushing through it on the InterState.
This state has to be explored off the beaten path to fully appreciate.
Wyoming is a very beautiful state, due to sparse population and large open spaces. Hell, Wyoming barely has more people than our nation's capital!
I so dang love Wyoming. Should be on top three. Too bad I live in NC.
The Grand Teton National park is the most beautiful place I have ever seen
This is everything beautiful that Oregon has, except it's the entire state. Mean has more coast, exponentially more lighthouses and real winter.
The forests in Maine are better than in Washington state.
Are you kidding me? Nevada is so beautiful! Lots of deserts and mountains. Its vast emptiness is what makes it so breathtaking. But Nevada isn't all desert. Don't forget the lakes and the forests over by the California border. This is the type of environment I dream of living in.
Because Vegas! Just kidding, but it's got tons of beautiful mountains and lakes and canyons too. Should be top ten!
Vegas is pretty
Why is Michigan placed so low? It's definitely one of the most beautiful states-- the prettiest I've seen and lived in.
At least it should be in the top 5.
We have beautiful lakes, beaches, historical forts, pine trees, sand dunes, ski resorts, definitive seasons, caves to explore, beautiful forests where deer run free, as well as awesome orchards and vineyards, to name a few,
18?! The Great Lakes are so beautiful!
Maryland is the most beautiful state ever! That's awesome! California is not the most beautiful state! That's awesome!
Most beautiful state by far!
Come on, North Carolina's got everything you could want: incredible beaches with landmarks, such as the Cape Hatteras lighthouse, tallest in America, big cities such as Charlotte and Raleigh, and the highest mountains in the Eastern U.S.A, with breathtaking views from Blue Ridge Parkway. Should be at least in the top 10!
All the New England States are breathtakingly beautiful!
