Top 10 Most Beautiful U.S. States
Most beautiful state is Alaska, A lot of California is beautiful. Ocean, desert, mountains, woods, farmland. Northern California is more beautiful and more seasonal. A lot of Southern California is an ugly desert, but you can't beat a beach sunset or a good Mountain View.
It's so beautiful! Has the beaches, mountains, desert, forests, farmland. Everything! The Central Coast and Nor Cal is the most beautiful (Redwoods) San Francisco is fun and quirky and Los Angeles is fun and sunny
The cities are dirty and tourists trash the place but it is still well deserved to be first. With the redwoods and Sierra Nevada it has to be. Even the dirty cities I mentioned aren't all that dirty in many spots and still great looking.
Beautiful state and culture. Beautiful island of volcanos, beaches, and palm trees. The food is great and the people are sweet
It's simply magical. The views are breathtaking. Has everything life has to offer. So much culture and love for nature
How is this amazingly wonderful and beautiful state below California? This is ridiculous!
Oregon is the best state in overall majesticnest. From the coast and the dunes to the deserts and mountains. Oregon is epic and think is better than Utah. I feel like this place should have more national parks though. Like here are some invented national parks that I think should be created: Columbia river islands national park, Columbia river estuary national park and Oregon basin national park. To be honest, I think crater lake is not a good national park. The lake is the deepest in the country but it is dead. There are zero native fish to the lake. Not many people visit this national park compared to Zion and Grand Canyon. I think Columbia river islands would be amazing. Like in the Columbia river there are those islands and they should be protected. Well overall Oregon should be number one and it is an amazing state. #columbia river islands national park!
It's more then desert. It has beautiful mountains and flagstaff is great. It has the Grand Canyon, Cool native reservations, nice national parks, Phoenix is kind of boring, I kinda prefer Tucson
Arizona is amazing the grand canyon, desserts, and other stuff is amazing!
Washington is beautiful. It is not all rain forest, There are mountains, coast, deserts, farmland, it has everything. Washington is great, Explore all the state not just Seattle
Beautiful state. The islands, Seattle, the deserts, farmland, forest. It's a great state, very progressive, home of grunge music and quirky people
Breath-taking beauty which includes the awe-inspiring green forests, spectacular mountains, the Puget Sound is the home of the mighty Orca whales. The flowers are bountiful, colorful and some aromatic. The national parks, waterfalls, hiking trails all are awesome. We love our
wild life and our pets. Our weather is free from hurricanes, deadly tornadoes and long cold winters. Washington state is gorgeous.
Beautiful state. Beautiful rocks and national parks. Has the desert, snow, skiing, Salt Lake is a quirky little town. People in Utah are suprisingly attractive and pretty chill
Utah is uber underrated and diverse, ranging from palms and red rocks in the south west, to some of the best skiing and impressive mountain ranges on earth to the north, to some of the most unearthly beautiful canyons, arches etc. in the desert all across the south.
I live in Oregon, and I think Utah should be #1. It's out of this world!
Alaska is the most beautiful state. It has the arctic, ocean, mountains, wildlife. Everything! Anchorage is a cool city it reminds me of Portland, it has cute small towns. It may be cold in the winter, but please visit in the fall, spring, or summer
The most beautiful state. A lot of nice dramatic scenery. Pacific rainforest, Arctic tundra, mountains, empty wilderness with animals. Alaska is intense
We have 17 out of the top 20 tallest mountains in America, over half of the worlds glaciers, more coastline than the rest of the US combined, we have North America's largest oil field, we have America's two largest forests, we have no plants that are poisonous to the touch, etc.
As someone who can spell beautiful correctly, this state is the absolute most beautiful state in the United States.
California is beautiful, but you can't afford to see any of it (the time or the money). The people are miserable, there's no sense of community, and the state want some you to be poor.
As a staunch conservative living here against my will (parents moved here about a decade ago), I can't wait to save up enough money to move our construction business to Montana. Hopefully I won't be chastised for coming from a backwards state. Anyways, aside from the political discussion, the absolute beauty and the sense of peace you get in Montana is unparalleled.
Wyoming is gorgeous. Its like Montana. Yellowstone and the Tetons are amazing. Open ranch, Prairie, super peaceful and calm. Hot cowboys, Friendly small town people
Cannot judge what this beautiful state has to offer by rushing through it on the InterState.
This state has to be explored off the beaten path to fully appreciate.
Wyoming is a very beautiful state, due to sparse population and large open spaces. Hell, Wyoming barely has more people than our nation's capital!
Maine is beautiful. Tons of ocean and pine trees. Nice beaches (it can be pretty cold) Portland is a chill little town. The Maine accent is funny and the people are pretty nice. Beautiful in fall, watch out for moose
This is everything beautiful that Oregon has, except it's the entire state. Mean has more coast, exponentially more lighthouses and real winter.
The forests in Maine are better than in Washington state.
My beautiful centennial state should be higher. There's a variety of different terrain. To the east, there's the plains. Near the middle, the gorgeous Rockies. To West, a more deserty area. I have always been drawn to the mountains though. When I lived in Denver, I would see them in the distance. It's a great place for nature lovers and people like me who like nice views
Absolutely gorgeous state. I have lived all over the US and Colorado is the most gorgeous in my book. Hawaii and states in the PNW are also gorgeous, but there's something refreshing about the Rocky Mountains.
It's way too humid sometimes, old slow drivers rule the roads, and it has bipolar weather.
BUT it has such gorgeous beaches, the sand is white, the water is blue, the night life is stunning, the lights are bright, the music pumps to the rhythm of your heart, you feel the breeze and the sun hit you most of the day, it's just such gorgeous scenery. So much variety.
Are you kidding me? Nevada is so beautiful! Lots of deserts and mountains. Its vast emptiness is what makes it so breathtaking. But Nevada isn't all desert. Don't forget the lakes and the forests over by the California border. This is the type of environment I dream of living in.
Because Vegas! Just kidding, but it's got tons of beautiful mountains and lakes and canyons too. Should be top ten!
When you hear about the prettiest states, I never hear anything about Tennessee. I don't understand. Everything is so green and clean, even the outskirts of Nashville are very green. And then there are the smokey mountains in the east which are breathtaking. As someone who comes from California, even I was surprised at how beautiful Tennessee was.
My home state, absolutely stunning mountains in the east. Just that part alone makes it one of the best!
Has anyone seen the Tennessee mountains before? Breathtaking!
Small state, but Newport is beautiful. The beaches are nice, and there's a lot of woods and you get all 4 seasons. Providence is not that pretty, it's quite hood.
Why is Michigan placed so low? It's definitely one of the most beautiful states-- the prettiest I've seen and lived in.
At least it should be in the top 5.
We have beautiful lakes, beaches, historical forts, pine trees, sand dunes, ski resorts, definitive seasons, caves to explore, beautiful forests where deer run free, as well as awesome orchards and vineyards, to name a few,
Michigan is the best state, hands down. West side is better.
Come on, North Carolina's got everything you could want: incredible beaches with landmarks, such as the Cape Hatteras lighthouse, tallest in America, big cities such as Charlotte and Raleigh, and the highest mountains in the Eastern U.S.A, with breathtaking views from Blue Ridge Parkway. Should be at least in the top 10!
Iron range and Eagle mountain areas up there on lake superior are just stunning
New York City is beautiful, Upstate is even more beautiful. You get waterfalls, woods that change color in the fall, hills, Adirondaks, Finger Lakes, New York has it all
First off, you have New York City, which has an amazing skyline and has some amazing architecture with it's rising buildings and beautiful bridges! "BUT NEW YORK'S SO DIRTY AND UGLY! HMPH!" With a city with over 8 million people, yeah duh it's gonna be dirty. And the "ugly" parts are the Bronx (which every city has a version of) Go east of the city and you'll find yourself in Long Island. There's so many awesome beaches there, some bluffs in Montauk which could make a beautiful picture. Okay, now head upstate and you'll find yourself the Catskill Mountains (which looks stunning during autumn by the way). There's some really cool swimming holes and waterfalls there, and of course stunning views. Head even more upstate and you'll find yourself in the Adirondacks. Those are some of the most beautiful mountains in the country, you can find Lake George, Ausable Chasm, Lake Placid, Whiteface Mountain, Mount Marcy, and so much more! Alright, now let's talk about Western New York! You have two of the great lakes there, Lake Erie and Lake Ontraio which both have their unique looks to it. There's other cool lakes like the Finger Lakes and Green Lake State Park. You can also find some really breathtakingly beautiful waterfalls like Niagara Falls (one of the most beautiful and famous in the world), Letchworth State (Grand Canyon of the East), and Watkins Glen State Park, which has amazing rock formations and is roughly one of the most beautiful places in America! I haven't even mentioned half of the wonders New York has to offer, but it definitely deserves higher than #35! I say it should be in the the top 10!
