Top Ten Most Depressing Songs
The Contenders: Page 10
The story itself is incredibly depressing.
God I feel like I'm gonna cry just hearing the first sentence
I'm shocked this song isn't in the Top 10! It's one of the most depressing songs I know. I can't bear to hear it. If it comes on the radio or is on a mix CD I own, I change the channel or move forward to the next track.
It's so beautiful but sad at the same time, it sums up depression for me.
This song is so depressing! The whole meaning is about how people are addicted to drugs and smoking and how they lose themselves in these ways.
Very emotional song to me. I play it every time someone special to me passes away.
If you listen to the lyrics, along with the music, this is a perfect song of depression. If I were to commit suicide, this is the song I'd play to get into the mood.
Leave me to dream, honestly on of the most depressing songs I have ever heard
Reminds me of the plot to The Matrix... great song all in all.
Just listen to the whole thing, it is one of about four songs that have ever been close to or gotten me to cry. One of the songs in the same album, "Let her go" placed 72nd, this is the song the album is named after, it is a beautifully made song. Take it for what it is worth, not for what is said of it. All that is needed is a little recognition for this song in my mind.
I cried so much, first heard this song when I was going through depression… I am only 13 but every time I hear this song I want to crawl up into a corner and cry my eyes out thinking about everyone I ever love who has passed and how badly I've always wanted to have someone love me as much as I love them… but either way, it is one of the best songs.
This is such a powerful song about going on and realizing you are so much more than everything you're going through.
I definitely think the first verse is very powerful it hits close to home with the lyrics but it's a great song.
It's strong meagre, unless you've been through, most instead it will over look in the lyrics.V 2 Comments
Undoubtedly the saddest song ever written, so criminally underrated
This song and Adam's Song need to be up higher.
Sad. Truthful. Talks about the hardships of youth and suicidal thoughts.
