Most Difficult Guitar Songscjoshercooze
The Contenders: Page 2
I can play perfectly only the first part with the verses and the chorus but really not the second one with all the solos.
Easily the hardest Megadeth song! Ten solos! Should be number one.
I can play it on lead and rhythmic. It isn't that hardV 2 Comments
I've learned this song and afterlife (#5) and I can say that its just as hard. - Doffunel
I'm 13 and I have had no problem with the song
The beginning is the hardest riff and I've played half the songes on this listV 1 Comment
This song is easy to play sloppily but nearly impossible to nail. One of the greatest songs ever and possibly the best heavy metal song. If you listen to later metal like Iron Maiden and such you'll see this song influenced them a lot, E. G harmonized lead guitars, phasing effects, fast galloping riffs, sudden tempo changes... - EnglandSeller
This song is one of the best songs from Zeppelin. The guitar work in it is absolutely perfect. It blends in with the rest of the band perfectly and this is why it should be closer to the top!
One of the best Zeppelin songs ever made. Also very difficult song on the drums to master. There never will be another Jimmy Page or John Bonham.
Try playing 12 guitars at once. Case closedV 3 Comments
THE ALL TIME GREATEST THRASH SONG, THIS SONG IS JUST INCREDIBLE AND WHO PUT JUSTIN BEIBER ON HERE, HIS SONGS HAVE NO GUITAR! FREDDIE LIVES ON!
my hands would fall of and start rolling around on the floor if I even attempted this how the hell did brian do it? - rockit(primejive)
who the **** put one time on this list... this song takes it all.. amazingly tough
Should be much higher on the list. The complexity of Queen, the shifts in tempo and key are astonishingV 1 Comment
This song is much harder than welcome to the jungle. Listen to the guitar solo at the end!
Unless you have a kill switch you really can't play this song at all( or a least correctly) buckethead is a genius and doesn't get enough credit for how advanced he is when it comes to guitar playing (and he doesn't use computers) it's just him and his white les Paul with a volume nob and a killswitch and some pedals but nothing else! That's how much of a genius this guy is!
Easily one of the hardest songs to play on the guitar. Buckethead's a genius
I was literally gaping at my tab once it got past the tremolo picking bit.
I think this list is a joke. Most people here have no idea about guitar. There is absolutely no logical reason for putting songs from bands like system of a down and rhcpon this list. Songs of Metallica sound great but are really easy. Guns N' Roses are pretty easy too. And how come there's no Iron Maiden song on this list? Their solos are killers! And Guthrie Govan is beyond difficult, one of the best compositions I've heard! Waves should be at the top of this list!
Waves-- most of you won't know this song. I urge you to look it up on YouTube. Guthrie's skill will stun you, and the music will move you.
Everyone here is an idiot. A grade five guitar exam is harder than half of this. Guthrie's the only decent player here!
Guthrie us by far and away one of the best to ever play the instrument.
THIS track is a zillion times more difficult than most on the other 28 before it on the list
Probably the most difficult classic ever made.
Definitely among top ten for sure! Yngwie deserves to be up there far beyond the sun and capric di diablo are way harder then dream theatre and definitely harder then master of puppets!
This is one of the hardest songs of all timeV 2 Comments
Insane intensity. Listen to the unplugged MTV version to a feel for it.
Too fast. Takes months to get it right
Why is this where it is a Justin Bieber song is higher up ffs steve vai is the most technically skilled guitarist ever to be born the only people who challenge him are satch and petrucci. He even finds some of his own songs too hard to play and hasn't played them since recording for crying out loud. I feel the only reason he still plays this one so much is due to the fact he spent ages practicing so that he could play it live
Just because a song is fast doesn't mean it's hard the likes of vai and Hendrix are unique as they use strange techniques resulting in an awesome sound personally out of the two I favour vai though
No song has as much pure emotion to back up the impossible licks as this song does.
This piece has some positively tricksy bits. Been playing for 15 years so I found it quite manageable...but for some of my friends who have been playing for less time than I have find it difficult as hell. Mr Vai has a unique style...difficult to nailV 5 Comments
It has quite a fast solo full of confusing changes and two-step bends. It kinda hurts my left wrist, but the rest of the song isn't hard
The person who said this is the fastest riff ever has clearly never listened to fast paced metal
Thank you finally some people understand my pain
The last part of the solo is quite difficult - zxmV 3 Comments
Not all difficulty is about speed...
The main point playing this song is that the solo MUST be absolutely perfect. It hasn't hard technical issues but... perfection.
The solo is hard but it's not insane. Mr.Crowley is insane, I am 35 years old and have been playing guitar for 22 years, I still can't lay than main solo!
Yea, pretty difficult solo, especialy the first one (for me). One need to be really acurate to to make it sound better. Great example that speed is not everything.V 1 Comment
The greatest rock band to ever exist!
Those who don't know Tochak really should see him play.
This song is extreme.
The first 2 seconds of Tipton destroys all of almost any solo. It doesn't sound like anything a guitar could have the capacity to make. Proof there is a higher power, and its name is Glen.
Forget about playing entire solo first Sweep itself is tougher than many of the top 10 solos.
P.S. - I haven't seen anyone and I mean Anyone other than Mr. Tipton playing this solo perfectly. Enough said!
Its just damn amazing, listen to its melody and speed. It doesn't get much better than this when it comes to metal soli. Just awesome.
The solo is beautiful (if you used to the cuts inside your fingers gushing blood on the strings)... Simply beautifulV 1 Comment
God. Who made this list! Far beyond the sun is the 49 hardest song! Haha. It's A crime.1 far beyond the sun 2 waves and 3 cliffs of dover. Well its all depending on the level of the guitarists hands and picking and understanding a real composed guitar lick
This should be on the 1st place because if you have memorized not only the solo but also the skills used in this solo, you can actually play other solos on the higher ranking of this poll.
How is malmsteen not number one on this list. I don't comprehend. His scales and speed, clarity. Is second to none
Most people that vote on this list don't play guitar, or completely suck at guitar and have probably never even heard of malmste en. l ike AC/D.C. And crazy train and of course eruption (the most overrated guitar song ever) are a head of malmseen and it makes me a little maV 3 Comments
This song is pretty easy to play... I would not have this on my list
ARE YOU KIDDING? WHY IS Justin ON THIS LIST?! YOU PEOPLE ARE ALL MENTALLY INSANE! No, really. I can play better than this song. And I can't play any instrument. Except a little drums. And Brian May is the best ever. QUEEN IS THE BEST!
Even Chuck Norris has a hard time playing this on guitar and having it not sound like crap.
If you think this song is hard whatsoever you need a brain enema. This is easier than Brain Stew. I can't comprehend why someone would think that this song is hard. GROW A BRAIN PEOPLE
Right as I saw this I nearly died. Seriously who puts a song with no guitars on a list about songs with guitars? Autism is becoming an epidemic.V 15 Comments
This song is so challenging. The muting and weird picking make it crazy hard. I don't think. I've seen anyone play it right and the way John does except for John himself. Should be way higher on this list.
Well.. It is pretty hard already but JM takes it to the next level playing it live, on an acoustic guitar, and improvising sick solos on it. Worse part? He keeps doing the bass lines with the crazy thumb. I think you can master this song down to the note. But that will take you no where once you see some other random Show JM did in an obscure country you haven't heard before and you realise it is the best version of Neon ever, But you can't just ever keep up with it, and the million of variations JM introduces to this song. It is not probably the hardest to play but one pony trick that will get people impressed. It needs to be at least top 20.
One of the hardest songs to play I can't believe this is no where on the list how foolish, just reaching half the cords on this song is nearly impossible.
John Mayer sucks! He's an arrogant little copycat!V 4 Comments
