Top Ten Most Inspiring Fictional Characters

Forrest may be dim as a light-bulb but he sure is able to succeed to play ping-pong, saving an army buddy's life and running a business company that sells a pile load of shrimp. Possibly, he could be just an inspiration to these average people.
Yes. He is very inspiring. In the movie, it shows that it isn't all about the brains.
A truly inspiring character. That says it all...
He may be dumb, but he is sure inspiring. definitely more inspiring than Hermione

Most Intelligent Witch of her age, probably will invent spells out of this world, and saved Harry Potter and the gang with her intelligence so many times. She inspired me to become great at what you do and love and help others because of it. She is also very brave and kind. Katniss could never have helped so many people nor have been more intelligent. Should be at the top of this list.
She shows girls that is not all about being "pretty"
She is smart, brave and strong
She punched an idiot right in the face (sorry Draco's fans)
She found the answer to almost all questions in the books
She's the kind of girl that seems only a useless bookworm, but is in fact an awesome and useful bookworm
Gotta love her, my favourite character... maybe ever
(Sorry if some of my grammar is wrong, but English isn't my first language... at all+ I'm 12)
Hermione's kind, super smart, awesome, strong, brave, loyal, independent, creative in her way, and she shows people many things. That she won't back down, that being pretty is not everything, and that being a smart bookworm pays off wonderfully. She saved her friends from death so many times I've lost count. And she's complex and grows up a lot. I think Hermione should be number one on this list. I know because I read all the harry potter books, and I've read about forrest gump. and I don't really like him. So please, please, please, please, please, please put Hermione on top. For me. Please.
Hermione is great because she's not like the typical female heroine; she's not special because she's physically strong. Her best asset is her intelligence. Plus, J.K. Rowling said she modeled Hermione after herself...

THe Hunger Games is amazing and Katniss Everdeen saves millions of lives. Though she dosnt love Peeta at the start her love becomes genuine later on. Katniss is kind, brave, thoughtful and very inspirational. She has a level head and has fight in her. She dosnt give up on what she thinks is right.
She is a very inspirational person that I think a lot of girls look up to. She is a very level headed girl and so strong that she makes me want to get up and make a difference.
How is Katniss Everdeen not number 1 she fought her whole life and nothing came easy she risked her life to save her sister how is that less inspiring than forest gump.
Katniss got beat by an ex-outlaw, a made man and an Irish anti-hero? Uh no way are Sean Devlin, Vito Scaletta and John Marston more inspiring than The Girl on Fire!.

So inspirational that all it takes to become a true hero is not about being big, or strong, or fast, because those things are just for support, but being a good, smart, brave, and heroic man no matter the size, is what it truly takes.

Vito just wants to make enough cash to help out his family. In the process he finds out who killed his dad and made friends in the Falcone crime family.
Vito Scaletta is one gangster you wouldn't want to mess with. Katniss and Hermione would be foolish to cross paths with Vito.
What the hell is some geeky bookworm (Hermione Grainger) doing ahead of a war hero turned mafia made man like Vito Scaletta?
Vito was always the smart subtle mobster who thames the big lout of his friend Joe Barbaro with ease.

If John Marston was a real person he would say this about his opponents on this list
1. "Katniss if you're having a sezieure hunting Turkeys how are you going to cope with cougars and grizzlies? "
2. "Vito your aim is sloppy let me show you how a real man shoots."
3. "Hermionie I'm sure your growth potion will make you bigger, by about 400 pounds rather than 50 feet. In other words your potion is just sugar and beer you charlatan".
4. "Sean I saw right through your disguise the second you walked into my territory".
John Marston is quite the hunter. More than Katniss ever will be. She freaked out and had a siezure when hunting Turkeys. John Marston on the other hand never freaked out and often hunted grizzlies, cougars and wolves without breaking a sweat. As well as making a tidy profit.
One of Rockstar Game's finest creations, John Marston was pretty much the old school redneck cowboy who stuck to the old ways despite jumps in technology. He'd choose a horse over a motorcar any day of the week.
A trash talking, old school redneck outlaw turned vigilante, John Marston went through so much bullcrap from Edgar Ross and to a less extent Colonel Allende just to be reunited with his family. Not that the family reunion lasted happily ever after.

A sharpshooting archer with pinpoint accuracy who is the eyes and ears of the Avengers Innitiative.

To alcohol; the cause and solution to all problems.
Homer always does the wrong things 90% of the time, or even more, WhooHoo!
Homer is the best

Tris is such an amazing character. She's so inspiring, brave, selfless, smart, wonderful! I think she's a beautifully written character because she's flawed and did bad things in her life (killing Will, for example) but that doesn't make her a bad person. I'm truly inspired by Tris's courage.
Certainally an inspiration to all girls of our generation, or at least more of a role model than Homer Simpson.

Come on he should be the no. 1
How to get from your parents dying to bringing the people of Gotham justice

He, though being the strongest on Earth, had the courage to die for even the weakest on the Earth. He had no fault in him but his own stupidity, but that's his simplicity.
Who doesn't want a lovable, funny hero saving earth? Super cool character
According to me he is the most inspirational character. he should at least be in the top ten
He's got a cool name

A very devoted housewife and mother. Because of the abuse Harry Potter received in his own home, she became a mother figure to him, in place of his own mother, who was killed while he was still an infant. Later, when Bellatrix Lestrange attempts to kill Molly's daughter, Molly kills her in a fit of zealous rage.

She's really smart and different, making her normal for many people.

He is the boy with the triforce of courage who must save the world from thousands of years of darkness. He is only a small child but travels through time where he is older and defeats the biggest, mightiest and most evil enemies with his wits and strategy. I don't think anyone can top what link was burdened with.
He proves that age doesn't matter, character does. He is a 9/10 year old boy who is tasked with saving the world. He is looked down upon for his age, but in the end he succeeded. Just because you are younger doesn't mean you are worse.
Link had no "powers" like almost all of these people. He all he had was his courage which barely got him by, step by step, each enemy more frightening than the last, but his determination was unmatched and unfacable.

He's the most loyal person I've ever seen, he's willing to sacrifice himself to save people he's never even met and has courage that no other person can meet. He's a real role model and never fails to save the day no matter how many evils and hardships are thrown his way, and no matter how tired and exhausted and heart broken he's feeling. He (in my opinion, you don't need to agree) surpasses Katniss Everdeen, Hermione Granger, Harry Potter and Beatrice Prior (sorry guys I love you but Percy is just) in everything and anything.

Absolutely brilliant mind! He'd keep my attention with his witty and wry observations.

He's loyal and honest and persevering and really good friend! Plus he's a good cook and a good gardener. And he got a sweet wife and had a ton of kids and lived happily ever after (not to mention that he eventually got to go to the Undying Lands because he was a Ringbearer). Oh yeah, and he was also elected as the mayor a gazillion times, so he was popular too!
Thank you, I know I'm awesome.
He never gave up, never gave in to fear, rose to every challenge and grew enormously and got Frodo over the line and still remained humble and good hearted.
I love Sam, he's loyal and humble. He never left Frodo's side even when Frodo was acting out and Sam married Rosie and got his happy ending
"There's some good in this world Frodo. And it's worth fighting for."-Samwise Gamgee.
