Forrest may be dim as a light-bulb but he sure is able to succeed to play ping-pong, saving an army buddy's life and running a business company that sells a pile load of shrimp. Possibly, he could be just an inspiration to these average people.

A truly inspiring character. That says it all...V 6 Comments
Most Intelligent Witch of her age, probably will invent spells out of this world, and saved Harry Potter and the gang with her intelligence so many times. She inspired me to become great at what you do and love and help others because of it. She is also very brave and kind. Katniss could never have helped so many people nor have been more intelligent. Should be at the top of this list.
She shows girls that is not all about being "pretty"
She is smart, brave and strong
She punched an idiot right in the face (sorry Draco's fans)
She found the answer to almost all questions in the books

Gotta love her, my favourite character... maybe ever
(Sorry if some of my grammar is wrong, but English isn't my first language... at all+ I'm 12)
Hermione is really the brains in the entire series. I mean, how many times would Ron and Harry get expelled or killed without her? Hermione helped me feel OK to be smart and don't worry what people say.

He, though being the strongest on Earth, had the courage to die for even the weakest on the Earth. He had no fault in him but his own stupidity, but that's his simplicity.

Katniss got beat by an ex-outlaw, a made man and an Irish anti-hero? Uh no way are Sean Devlin, Vito Scaletta and John Marston more inspiring than The Girl on Fire!. - Catnip
The Girl on Fire is inspiring and she should be number 1. How could Forest Gump get number 1 when katniss saved millions of lives? She deserves to be number 1

So inspirational that all it takes to become a true hero is not about being big, or strong, or fast, because those things are just for support, but being a good, smart, brave, and heroic man no matter the size, is what it truly takes.

Because of the abuse Harry Potter received in his own home, she became a mother figure to him, in place of his own mother, who was killed while he was still an infant. Later, when Bellatrix Lestrange attempts to kill Molly's daughter, Molly kills her in a fit of zealous rage.
He is the boy with the triforce of courage who must save the world from thousands of years of darkness. He is only a small child but travels through time where he is older and defeats the biggest, mightiest and most evil enemies with his wits and strategy. I don't think anyone can top what link was burdened with.
He proves that age doesn't matter, character does. He is a 9/10 year old boy who is tasked with saving the world. He is looked down upon for his age, but in the end he succeeded. Just because you are younger doesn't mean you are worse.
Link had no "powers" like almost all of these people. He all he had was his courage which barely got him by, step by step, each enemy more frightening than the last, but his determination was unmatched and unfacable.
Absolutely brilliant mind! He'd keep my attention with his witty and wry observations.
He's loyal and honest and persevering and really good friend! Plus he's a good cook and a good gardener. And he got a sweet wife and had a ton of kids and lived happily ever after (not to mention that he eventually got to go to the Undying Lands because he was a Ringbearer). Oh yeah, and he was also elected as the mayor a gazillion times, so he was popular too!
Thank you, I know I'm awesome.
He never gave up, never gave in to fear, rose to every challenge and grew enormously and got Frodo over the line and still remained humble and good hearted.

Vito just wants to make enough cash to help out his family. In the process he finds out who killed his dad and made friends in the Falcone crime family.
Vito Scaletta is one gangster you wouldn't want to mess with. Katniss and Hermione would be foolish to cross paths with Vito.
He just wants to make a lot of cash but also has principles.
What the hell is some geeky bookworm (Hermione Grainger) doing ahead of a war hero turned mafia made man like Vito Scaletta?V 3 Comments
He has taken on numerous predators and outlaws. He was more of a hunter than Katniss ever will be. Katniss wished she could hunt grizzly bears.
One of Rockstar Game's finest creations, John Marston was pretty much the old school redneck cowboy who stuck to the old ways despite jumps in technology. He'd choose a horse over a motorcar any day of the week.

Peeta should be higher on this list. - thalia_thatsmeV 1 Comment
He is just downright adorable and part of the show's personal appeal comes from seeing him and other characters struggle through their dramatized daily lives and realizing that it is indeed a satire of real American life.
Tony S should be 3
A role model to many, she stands up what what she thinks is right and makes her own path in life. Plus for the guys, Mia Wasikowska (the lady who plays Alice) is smoking' hot.

ROFL SHE TIES WITH VEGETA?!
It pisses me off that Optimus Prime is only 54 on this list. That Vegeta and Trevor Philips, two very flawed anti-heroes/villains than the just leader of the Autobots are higher then Optimus on this list. Optimus is an inspirational hero without a bad fiber in his body. He is a true hero who would put his life on the line to protect others and is someone with high charisma and a good handle of his emotions. Someone who usually wants to settle things peacefully but knows when its time to fight for what you believe. Optimus is a wise and benevolent being that looks for the good in others and never gives up, not matter how bad things get. A true hero.
In my opinion he should be #1
Because of him, now I say ORA whenever I move my arms really fast. - xandermartin98
A Native American with British ancestry, Connor avenges the death of his mother against the rising Templar order. In the process he is involved in the American Revolution.
Grand Theft Auto 5's Trevor Phillips don't take crap from anyone.
Her drive and passion for perfoming and the fact that she is a sweet small town girl with big dreams makes her character and her struggles for being a star believable. She definitely inspires me.
