In this top ten list, let's revisit the most memorable moments from this iconic film. From heart-pounding action scenes to chilling monologues, these moments have left a lasting impression on audiences and cemented The Dark Knight as a timeless classic.
The Top Ten
1 The Interrogation Scene

Batman and The Joker are alone in a room with a only a table between them. Joker tells The Batman that in order for him to win and stop the madness going on in Gotham, Batman must break his one rule (murder).

One thing I noticed from this scene was a camera man in the glass. For a split second, you can see the camera man in the glass to the right just as Batman picks up the Joker and slams him into the wall.

2 The Bank Heist (Intro)

A well filmed sequence by Christopher Nolan. I never would have guessed Joker was one of the guys in masks.

One of the best intros to any movie I've seen! I love how none of the school buses notice that there's one coming out of the bank haha

"I believe, that whatever doesn't kill you simply makes you stranger."
Best superhero movie quote ever!

3 The Chase

This part is full of great moments. The Bazooka, The Truck flipping, Joker challenging The Batman to run him over.

Best thing is the writing on the truck: S laughter is the best medicine...

4 The Last Monologue When the Batman Disappears

"Because he's the hero Gotham deserves, but not the one it needs right now. So we'll hunt him. Because he can take it. Because he's not our hero. He's a silent guardian. A watchful protector. A Dark Knight"

I can't think about it without getting chills.

5 Joker Crashes the Party
6 The Hospital Explodes

Joker walks away as the hospital explodes.

7 Harvey Dent Becomes Two-Face

A "do nothing else" politician becomes a murderer. Mr. Dent broke an oath to end crime in Gotham which means not everyone else can make promises kept for themselves and others.

When he turns his face and reveals his burnt face, it surprises you.

8 Joker's Magic Trick

Funny way to officially introduce The Joker. It also shows that he's really insane.

9 "You Wanna Know How I Got These Scars?"

The Joker explains to people how he got the scars on his face.

10 Two-Face Shoots Maroni's Driver After a Coin Toss and the Car Flips
The Contenders
11 Two Face Tells Gordon to Tell His Son It Will Be Alright
12 Joker Riding in the Cop Car with His Head Out the Window

This part is pretty symbolic as The Joker mentioned earlier that he's just a dog chasing cars and that he wouldn't know what to do with one if he caught it.

13 Rachel Dies

All the other scenes are amazing.
But for me when Bruce says " But Rachel, Alfred? "...
I die every time I hear that. there is so much emotion and agony that Christian Bale has expressed in 3 words. I personally was extremely joyful when Rachel dies but it was Bruce's conversation with Alfred which always reduces me to tears.

14 The Joker Kills Brian on the News Flash.

And what's so scary about it is that we never got to see what happened to Brian after the camera went off.

This scene still makes me concerned about how kids are going to react to this film.

Probably the scariest scene in the movie.

15 Two Face Reveals His True Motives to Batman
16 Hospital Scene
17 Commissioner Gordon Gets Shot

I actually thought he died. Fortunately, he didn't.

18 "And Here We Go."
19 I Want My Phone Call
20 Joker Clapping His Hands
21 I Won't Kill You, but I Don't Have to Save You
22 Madness is Like Gravity
23 "I'm Not Wearing Hockey Pads."
24 Escaping the Prison
25 Bane's Tears

It's a moment so subtle you may miss it. As Thalia tells her and Banes' story of survival in the same prison Bruce suffered in, Banes' iron will cracks, and a single tear escapes. A small yet powerful moment that reveals the man behind the monster.

This is not the dark knight! Dark knight rises!
