Most Overrated Comedians

The Contenders: Page 3

41 Ricky Gervais Ricky Gervais Ricky Dene Gervais is an English comedian, actor, director, producer, writer and former singer and manager.

I love British comedy. There's a reason why Ricky Gervais is a "comedian" in the states... He's a talentless hack. Anyone who thinks he's genius is either an office fanboy or hasn't looked up the requirements for being a genius. This guy is as funny lead paint.

An apocalyptic failure at the art of comedy. This man should be subjected to Chinese water torture, as it is equivalent to watching anything he does. For the life of me, I can no longer fathom what Americans can possibly find humourous about this waddling cesspool of self-absorbed buffoonery.

Ruined Family Guy, Ruined The Simpsons, Ruins every think he involves himself in. Can't believe he got Ed Norton one of the best actors of all time to be in one of his crappy films. He should be a guy working 3 dead end jobs to afford an apartment and a bus ticket to a local comedy club to get boo'ed on stage every week. People only like him because they are sheep and enjoy whatever the critics that Ricky blows tells them to do.

Looks like a dick and his humor is based on being a dick.but he ain't funny

42 Louie Anderson

Yes you need to say more

Winnie, fat and a gap in his front teeth...need I say more?

43 Bob Saget Bob Saget

I am surprised this guy isn't at the top. I have seen some of his stand up acts where he has been heckled by audience members and generally there is mixed response throughout. Also his appearances on Leno and Letterman portray someone that is cynical and bitter. He is a known woman hater/misogynist like Chevy Chase. His work on Full House wasn't funny... the kids and the other uncles were funnier. And his best job was on America's Funniest Home Videos where he couldn't say much, but still his "humor" on there was contrived and boring. Reminds of a kid finding a joke book and then goes on to annoy and bore everyone around with a barrage of bad jokes.

Why do people think he's funny? He's just Dane Cook with more plastic surgery and more "my weiner in your mouth" stupid vulgarity, for the sake of vulgarity. If you think he's funny, then someone standing on stage for 20 minutes making fart noises with his mouth must be comedic gold to you.

I saw him on Improv one time... No one was laughing. Bob himself said, "I am so annoying I am pissing myself off." True statement, Bob. You are the worst ever.

Worst ever... Totally not funny at all. Just annoying.

44 Kathy Griffin Kathy Griffin Kathleen Mary "Kathy" Griffin is an American actress, comedian, writer, producer, and television host.

She isn't a comedian. She's an annoying wannabe something. She co-hosted the CNN 2014 Time Square New Year's show with Anderson Cooper. Poor Anderson couldn't say two words without Griffin interrupting him in the most annoying voice, since Fran Drescher.

How is this old witch still getting jobs? Is she screwing Bill Maher or something?

Honestly, would any one object if Mrs. Griffin had a severely late term abortion? I mean, why is Kathy Griffin still alive? Why do people keep giving her work?

I don't get why she is ranked the 5th best female comedian - 445956

45 Jimmy Fallon Jimmy Fallon James Thomas "Jimmy" Fallon is an American comedian, television host, actor, singer, writer, and producer.

He's as funny as a brain tumour, which you may have if you think he's funny

Worst of the worst. Should be working in an insurance call center trying to entertain retiree call-ins during their claim requests.

What bothers me about him is that he just tries too hard and comes off very unnatural, I hate those fake improvs with his guests and he's a show off too, always wanna sing, do impressions or whatever. It's like turning on the T.V. to look at him jerk off. Also that pattern of talk shows where the host wears a suit so when he makes jokes or does something foolish it's to make the audience laugh more easily due to the contrast with the "seriousness" of his outfit.

He was always cracking himself up on SNL, often in very unfunny skits. there is nothing less funny than a comedian who can't keep it together whilst telling unfunny jokes.

46 Tim Allen Tim Allen

His jokes are actually cleverly disguised ads for Sears and Craftsman Tools.

If you like the horrible Cook so much, perhaps you should be sucking it, because he blows

I liked him when I was little.

Perfect example of guys who can't cut it as true stand-up comedians. They jump on the first T.V. show offer from T.V. hack execs and don't let go.

47 Sinbad

Bad is an understatement. Only surpassed by Dane cook and Louie Anderson as worst comedian of all time.

Is it just me, or does it seem like someone most likely farted in his bath water, a good majority of his life? <<-- But why?

48 Dave Chappele

Chappelle is not over rated at all, in fact he is under rated. He is never a top 10 in greatest comics and I believe he should be up there. Carlin is the most over rated comic to ever live

Chappelle's Show was absolutely hilarious and is one of the best comedy shows to air on television, and is probably in the top 3 for skit shows, no question about it. He was able to make fun of racial issues better than most, which was certainly aided by his skin color, since people are cowards who get uncomfortable when white people say the same things. With that said, his stand up was not very good, and he was an average-at-best comedian off the cuff, with very little improv talent. People let the awesomeness of his show pollute their opinions on his stand up, and he became ridiculously overrated.

Also several comedians whether you think they are funny or not have all admitted verbally that Dave Chappelle's stand up Comedy was the best! The one who said this from their own mouths are namely Katt Williams, Kevin Hart, and Chris Rock. All of these guys each admitted that Dave Chappelle's Stand up comedy is funnier than theirs you can find them being asked about Dave Chappelle's Stand up comedy on YouTube!

Chappele is GOAT! that's it! Funniest guy alive!

49 Eddie Murphy Eddie Murphy

Any movie of his after 2000 is dumb. Norbit is stupid, A thousand words is lame! Shrek just annoys me now, Eddie if you made another Nutty Professor or Beverly Hills Cop then maybe I'll respect you again.

Eddie's problem is he got lazy and crazy arrogant. Which is a damn shame, because look at his 80s career. He was gearing up to be one of the greatest comics of all-time.

Back in the day Eddie was a fantastic, born-to-it stand up comedian. That's gotta count for something.

Sometimes great sometimes god awful.

50 Patton Oswalt Patton Oswalt Patton Peter Oswalt is an American stand-up comedian, writer, actor, and voice artist, known for roles such as Spencer Olchin in the sitcom The King of Queens, voicing Remy in the film Ratatouille, and playing multiple identical brothers, the Koenigs, on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

Shouldn't be remotely near this list. He is easily one of the best comics of all-time. His wit is nearly unparalleled.

Does he actually say anything funny?

Everyone seems to worship this guy. I personally find him unfunny and kind of annoying!

He used his dead wife to further his career. Scumbag.

51 Rebel Wilson Rebel Wilson

Rebel Wilson uses the " Hey I'm fat look at me" tactic
She got it from Melissa McCarthy

But she has an accent. That makes her "I'm fat" jokes fresh and actually funny right?

52 Bill Cosby Bill Cosby William Henry "Bill" Cosby, Jr., is an American stand-up comedian, actor, and author. more.

The Cosby Show was decent, but not doesn't make it into my top twenty sitcoms of all time. As for Bill Cosby's standup, the routines I've seen were lame. Based on his popularity his cute little smirks clearly appeal to someone, but not me.

Next time you are excited about something you should be like 'I feel like a kid in a candy store.. or like Bill Cosby in a raping store'.

Family humor. Pleasing to watch his shows.

He did the hot cosby.

53 George Lopez George Lopez George Lopez is an American comedian, actor, and talk show host. He is known for starring in his self-produced ABC sitcom George Lopez.

His entire act is "My head is big! " And "I'm a Latino! ".

Making jokes based on a Mexican accent, accentuated by the same dumb, surprised look on your face doesn't get funnier the more you do it. I'd rather watch the Taco Bell Dog say "Yo quiero Taco Bell," for an hour than watch his stand up.

I still have a shred of liking for this man. But he was funny on the George Lopez show. Now he uses Mexican stereotypes and his hatred for Erik Estrada for his comedy. Not as funny as he used to be!

Gross gay guy come out of the closet ew!

54 James Corden James Corden

He is so f-ing overrated. He thinks he is boyfriend with every celebrity, his jokes are lame, his singing is disgusting and he acts like a fat silly kid in school

Well, I'm British and I don't find him very funny at all. Only time he is watchable is with other, better, actually funny comedians. But then, that's just my opinion. - MaxStickies

Thinks he is funniest person in the world lol

Nah bro you're just American so you don't understand. The British people know.

55 Bill Burr Bill Burr William Frederic "Bill" Burr is an American comedian, writer, and actor. He is best known for his stand-up comedy specials.
56 Richard Pryor Richard Pryor

Richard Pryor was a great stand up comedian, in the top 5 all time and even if you don't care for his movies, his stand up was top 5 all time. What are you 9 years old?

Just what was supposed to be funny about Richard Pryor? That he could curse and do racial stereotypes? I remember the first time I heard him on the Ed Sullivan Show--he was far from funny then (actually, it's the only time I wanted to turn the Sullivan show off), and his standup only got more racist, more obscene, and less humorous from that point on. He got his fame from African-Americans buying his records (just like they bought Wild Man Steve and Blowfly) because they were "dirty"...and once Caucasians realized they could listen to his stereotypically racial routines without losing their street cred with their "best friends who are black," they bought them too. From there on out, it was a downhill slide into fame and fortune...and flame. Sure, he could act "like himself" in movies, and actually managed to contribute a few humorous lines to the script of "Blazing Saddles," but overall the world could have done quite well without his unfunny brand of pseudohumor.

Whoever put Richard Prior on this list should be shot then fired.

Funny, hugely talented man in every way.

57 Katt Williams Katt Williams Micah Sierra "Katt" Williams is an American stand-up comedian, actor, rapper, singer and voice artist.

Katt Williams looks like he drinks arfosheen. The only thing this re-re could pimp out is his twitter handle. He's not funny, and yelling and being a racist prick will only get you a few comedy central specials... oh wait. I blame Americans...

He is one if the most unfunny comics I have ever heard. And a bit if a xenophobe too with his statement against Mexicans

He is without a doubt one of the dumbest comedians to ever walk the face of the Earth! If he's funny, then I'm Bill Clinton!

Bland racist humor. White hate is popular though

59 PewDiePie PewDiePie Felix Arvid Ulf Kjellberg, better known by his online alias PewDiePie, is a Swedish web-based comedian and video producer, best known for his Let's Play commentaries and vlogs on YouTube. He is known for being the most subscribed-to YouTuber on the website, earning over 50 million subs.

Uh, what? This guy sits in front of a camera, holding the attention of horny teenagers, while he screams idiocy. He is not remotely a comic. Don't even think he's ever played a role before, or had an act. His whole career is basically a kin to having to watch your annoying kid sibling play video games.

One of many complete wastes of space and oxygen that makes his living creating maddeningly stupid YouTube videos. He's not a comedian, and he's not even remotely funny in anything that he does.

Why is this turd on a list of anything relevant...? I would rather be stuck in an eternity of listening/watching the top worst 20 of this list instead of being subjected to this pseudo celebrity ass.

60 Chris Farley Chris Farley

Always funny! Always.

John Belushi wannabe. Never liked him. His comedy looked forced and his films were dreadful.

He was both funny and overrated. He was in 2 of the best SNL skits of all time. But his film career was terrible.

Loved him.
