He is the first English player to win league titles in four countries: England, Spain, the United States and France. He retired in May 2013 after a 20-year career, during which he won 19 major trophies.

Most overrated athlete of any sport of all times.
I know him from the beginning of his career. He was never even the best player of any of teams played (Manchester United, Real Madrid, England's National team).
He's not included in any top 25-50 of football experts (magazines, web sites) but he's famous...
As the football experts know, not even a Ballon d'Or in his hands (awarded to the best European football player every year-nowdays in the world).
C.Ronaldo has 5, Cruyff, Platini and Van Basten 3 etc.

Beckham is the most overrated athlete of all time period. Only people who know nothing about football think he was a great player.

2 Wayne Rooney Wayne Mark Rooney is an English professional footballer who plays for and captains both Manchester United and the England national team.

8 Cristiano Ronaldo Cristiano Ronaldo dos Santos Aveiro (born 5 February 1985) is a Portuguese professional footballer who plays as a forward for Serie A club Juventus and captains the Portugal national team.

I'm so sick of seeing his face everywhere, whenever there's some football related content on TV he's ALWAYS the first one to show up even if he isn't the main focus. He's praised for unimpressive things, like "oh my god he jumps so high" I can do that too, do I get a trophy for that? Also his personality is so unlikable, I remember there was one time when he lost a match and when the other team tried to greet him in a noncompetitive way he left the field all pissed. Grow up.

I hate his arrogant face! He's a very good player but he will get some random GOAT shouts after scoring against part-time swedish IKEA workers next season 22/23 in the UEL!

Ronaldo is over rated, can't dribble, can't shoot, is 33 and is horrible. Messi is a much footballer and so is Griezmann

He is not overrated he's rated how he should be rated
