The ambitions are noble; the performances strong; and the writing stunningly extensive, but that's not enough to make this very interesting. There's no sense of tone or pacing to the vapidly realist demeanor, which would thrive better if the storytelling wasn't plodded into oblivion. Esoteric ramblings, ambiguous exposition and sprawling, monotonous filler drive the writing more than any real dynamicity. Just based on the actual plot, there's way too much going on for the characters and story developments to progress in an organic manner. It drags all the way to climaxes that seem to come out of the left field. I stuck with it, and enjoyed it quite a bit, but it was a bit of a chore about as often as it was narrowly compelling.

13 Sex and the City

This is the worst TV show on HBO. It's terrible. This show makes me wanna puke on the floor and it's a piece of crap. Do not watch this show. It sucks. Go watch The Amazing World of Gumball instead. It's way better than this awful show. Created by Calum Morrison

14 Euphoria Euphoria is an American teen drama television series created and principally written by Sam Levinson for HBO and based on the Israeli miniseries of the same name.

How was I the one to put this on the list? Why is this not ranked among the absolute worst HBO shows ever?
Seriously though, after a disastrous first couple of episodes, this picked up, and was pretty enjoyable throughout the bulk of its course (I'm definitely the odd man out for finding the final season pretty good). Still, it's generally a guilty pleasure, because this just has to be some sort of a joke. It is textbook, cut-and-dry soap opera, riddled with empty thrills, mind-numbing melodrama, and an excess of ludicrous plots. In general, the writing, directing and acting are colorfully campy at best, and jaw-droppingly awful at worst. Again, I had fun with it, but I nearly refuse to evoke the name of HBO in regard to this show.
