They say that Exodus should be part of the big 4 of thrash instead of anthrax, but even though they've been there since the beginning along with Metallica and slayer, they're nothing special. Bonded by blood is an average album. If there were to be a big 5 of thrash it'll be between Overkill or Testament.
Nothing special? Listen to their masterpieces out of "Bonded by Blood",like "The Toxic Waltz" and "Blacklist" then think about what you said - DejanKalinic

One of the bests bands ever, in all of it's ages. Smoke On The Water is just a song. You should listen Knocking at Your Back Door, Perfect Strangers, etc. Really UNDERRATED
Tough one. Deep Purple released really REALLY good albums like In Rock, Machine Head, Burn and Perfect Strangers. Their downfall is their lack of consistency. Lets be honest: quite a few of their albums are pretty much disposable.
Some of their songs are overrated. But some of their songs are also very underrated. I like their underrated songs more than overrated songs. - zxm
Who put Deep Purple on this list? They are the most UNDERrated band (maybe only Rainbow are more UNDERrated).

The riff of Smoke On The Water is easy but sounds amazing - same for the most popular riffs by AC/DC, Black Sabbath, etc.
However, people who have heard only of Smoke On The Water are not competent to comment on Deep Purple! In fact, circa 1970, Deep Purple played the most technically demanding stuff - the solo on Highway Star, drums on Fireball, Burn, and so on. And they nailed it live, too! - Metal_Treasure
