Judas Priest should not be on this list. Its one of the most influencal metal band that ever existed.

Why the hell is Judas Priest on this list?

What? If anything, Priest is underrated!

Who the hell put Judas Priest on here?! They deserve the praise Led Zeppelin And Queen get! Their music is better, and they’re much more likable. Same thing with Iron Maiden, these two were probably added by some Metallica elitist fanboy who was upset Bruce Dickinson said Iron Maiden is better than Metallica, even though it’s true. And I love Metallica, there’s no reason they should be here either. - CostcoHotDogs

One of the bests bands ever, in all of it's ages. Smoke On The Water is just a song. You should listen Knocking at Your Back Door, Perfect Strangers, etc. Really UNDERRATED

Tough one. Deep Purple released really REALLY good albums like In Rock, Machine Head, Burn and Perfect Strangers. Their downfall is their lack of consistency. Lets be honest: quite a few of their albums are pretty much disposable.

Some of their songs are overrated. But some of their songs are also very underrated. I like their underrated songs more than overrated songs. - zxm

Who put Deep Purple on this list? They are the most UNDERrated band (maybe only Rainbow are more UNDERrated).

The riff of Smoke On The Water is easy but sounds amazing - same for the most popular riffs by AC/DC, Black Sabbath, etc.

However, people who have heard only of Smoke On The Water are not competent to comment on Deep Purple! In fact, circa 1970, Deep Purple played the most technically demanding stuff - the solo on Highway Star, drums on Fireball, Burn, and so on. And they nailed it live, too! - Metal_Treasure

65 Whitesnake Whitesnake Whitesnake are a rock band formed in England in 1978 by singer David Coverdale, after his departure from his previous band Deep Purple.

They overrated? Are ya kidding me? Oh, and they aren't really a metal band. Shouldn't be on this list for many reasons. - Metal_Treasure

How many people know whitesnake? I think someone mistaken the list with underrated. - zxm

66 Scorpions Scorpions Scorpions are a German rock band formed in 1965 in Hanover by Rudolf Schenker. Since the band's inception, its musical style has ranged from hard rock to heavy metal.
67 Dio Dio Dio was an American heavy metal band formed in 1982 and led by vocalist Ronnie James Dio, after he left Black Sabbath with intentions to form a new band with fellow former Black Sabbath member, drummer Vinny Appice.

Dio deserves his praise. He defined the traditional heavy metal genre. Holy Diver and Rainbow In The Dark are two of the best metal songs of all time.

Don't disrespect the Dio. Whoever added this should be horribly ashamed of themselves. - ThatoneMetalhead

Get him off! Have you heard Rainbow In The Dark? - CostcoHotDogs

Dio,the one and only legend, most influental metal musician to be considered overrated? Very funny how little people know about metal - DejanKalinic

This band is not overrated

Neurosis underrated? I strongly disagree. - ThatoneMetalhead

69 Capture the Crown
70 Summoning

Repetitive and cheap sounding. Most of the melodies aren't even good. (Land of the Dead is utter brilliance, though)

75 Exodus Exodus Exodus is an American thrash metal band formed in 1979 in Richmond, California. Spanning a career of 37 years, Exodus has gone through numerous lineup changes, two extended hiatuses, and the deaths of two former band members.

They say that Exodus should be part of the big 4 of thrash instead of anthrax, but even though they've been there since the beginning along with Metallica and slayer, they're nothing special. Bonded by blood is an average album. If there were to be a big 5 of thrash it'll be between Overkill or Testament.

Nothing special? Listen to their masterpieces out of "Bonded by Blood",like "The Toxic Waltz" and "Blacklist" then think about what you said - DejanKalinic

They’re underrated, they deserve what little praise they get. - CostcoHotDogs

76 Overkill Overkill Overkill is an American thrash metal band, formed in 1980 in New Jersey. They have gone through many line-up changes, with singer Bobby "Blitz" Ellsworth and bassist D.D.

Also criminally underrated, like Exodus. - CostcoHotDogs

79 Suicide Silence Suicide Silence Suicide Silence is an American deathcore band from Riverside, California. Formed in 2002, the band has released four full-length studio albums, one EP and eleven music videos.

Suicide Silence? A metal band? Funny. They suck so bad their vocalist crashed his bike so he wouldn't have to do any more crappy music.

They give deathcore a bad name.

80 Poison Poison Poison is an American hair/glam metal band that achieved great commercial success in the mid-1980s to the mid-1990s.

Poison sucks! - CostcoHotDogs

Poison is crap that was shoved down the mainstream audience's throats. Yep... they're bad. - ThatoneMetalhead

Not metal.
