21 Emmitt Smith Emmitt Smith Emmitt James Smith III is a former college and professional American football running back who became the National Football League's all-time leading rusher during his fifteen seasons in the league during the 1990s and 2000s.

Not even in the Top 25 all time greats

Why is this guy here! He was one of the greatest running backs of all time

22 Chad Ocho Cinco

Very overrated. People are saying he is a Hall of Famer, but the only case you can make is against Michael Irvin's stats. Will always be remembered for his antics.

23 Cam Newton Cam Newton Cameron Jerrell Newton is an American football quarterback for the Carolina Panthers of the National Football League.

He knows how to win but stat wise he can be considered kind of overrated. - htoutlaws2012

The only reason he gets fame because of his "dab" and his run. He can only run and pass to Ginn and Olsen. Mike Tolbert is 50x better then this backup dancer. - Tacocheese

24 Michael Sam Michael Sam

As much as I wish success to all players, I am afraid he was drafted more because of his sexual orientation than his skill :/

I'm not saying it's good to be gay, because it is not. But someone should have given him a shot. Maybe he will get a job in the CFL. He should not be on here because he never played an NFL game.

Well he was the most over hyped 7th round pick ever so technically he is overrated in that retrospect. - htoutlaws2012

Sam was light, and not that tall. - Tacocheese

Never played a snap.

26 Bart Starr Bart Starr
27 Randy Moss Randy Moss Randy Gene Moss is a former American football wide receiver who played 14 seasons in the National Football League.
28 Jim Brown Jim Brown

He'd be lucky to crack the starting lineup at Syracuse in today's game. I don't even think he'd be recruited by a top D-1 school nowadays. He'd be lucky to share time at Saginaw Valley State in today's game.

, most of the boneheads on this site would even have to draw a line here. This has to be some sort of epic trolling attempt. Jim brown would CRUSH the living daylights out of any league in any era. - fthatguy

29 Johnny Manziel Johnny Manziel Jonathan Paul Manziel is an American football quarterback who is a free agent. He was drafted by the Cleveland Browns with the 22nd overall pick of the 2014 NFL Draft. Towards the end of the 2015 season the infamous story of with reports circulating that he was in Las Vegas instead of in Cleveland with ...read more.

Look know johnny manziel is very overrated but I can say that he is a mobile QB but doesn't have a great arm or good accuracy Though, I don't like johnny manziel because he is very arrogant and think he's better than everybody but he's not, What he did in college is great but he is in the nfl now and there are guys that have more experience and that are faster, stronger and are mentally trained. manziel does not fit that trait. And that's all I have to say about johnny football,

Ladies and Gentleman the Ryan Leaf of our time. - htoutlaws2012

Manziel is horrible. He has done nothing in the nfl. All he does is flip the bird

Actually the image is of his first year's signature money sign which is dumb. - htoutlaws2012

He's a crazy loon.

30 Dez Bryant Dez Bryant Desmond Demond "Dez" Bryant Sr. is an American football wide receiver for the Dallas Cowboys of the National Football League.

Dez sucks, Antonio brown is way better

Against Green Bay in the playoffs, when the Cowboys needed him most, Dez drops it. In another great game, again against the Packers, Dez thought the game was over so he went to the locker room. The Cowboys got the ball back with a chance to win, Dez was know where to be seen.

Really doesn't have skill. This photo shows you the type of guy he is. Should be in top 10.

His picture on the left is of him crying.

31 Kyle Orton

If anything his actually underrated at least he ended his career on a good note in Buffalo. I know he wasn't the best QB I thought he was decent enough. - htoutlaws2012

32 Johnny Unitas Johnny Unitas John Constantine Unitas, nicknamed "Johnny U", or "The Golden Arm", was an American professional football player from the 1950s through the 1970s.
33 Adrian Peterson Adrian Peterson Adrian Lewis Peterson is an American football running back for the Minnesota Vikings of the National Football League.

He beat the crap out of his own child just because he was treated like that as a child.

An athlete like him, could've killed that child. Plus, HE WAS ONLY FOUR!

He gets all the credit for facing bad defences has a good oline and gets the ball every play pluswhenever he faces a good team gets 2yds a carry and has the 2nd most fumbles in history by someone not a qb if he switched teams wt lynch lynch would be getting 8 yds a carry and Peterson would be getting stuffed behind the line ever play

34 Jason Witten Jason Witten Christopher Jason Witten is an American football tight end for the Dallas Cowboys of the National Football League.
35 Terry Bradshaw Terry Bradshaw

Don majkowski Aaron Rodgers brett favre and Lynn dickey are better

36 Ronnie Lott
37 Deion Sanders Deion Sanders Deion Luywnn Sanders, Sr. is a former American football and former American baseball player, who works as an analyst for CBS Sports and the NFL Network.

This is a man that once took a helicopter from an NFL game to a MLB game. He once hit a legit.304 for the Braves while maintaining all pro status for the Falcons...One of the all-time greats... enough said. - fthatguy

38 Odell Beckham Jr. Odell Beckham Jr. Odell Beckham Jr. is a NFL wide receiver, playing for the New York Giants. He is most-known for making an incredible one-handed catch against the Dallas Cowboys. Beckham was drafted 12th overall to the New York Giants.

And, he does not have the best catch. Max McGee retains that. A one handed catch with his hand right in front of the Free Safety and having to tuck it away quickly while avoiding a likely tackle and a pounding to get to the touchdown line. WHILE HE WAS RESTLESS!

I got nothing against Odell, but he is not the only person that has done it. Randy Moss, Doug Baldwin, and so on...Also, there's way TOO MANY Vines about him.

Most overrated player on the planet.

He has only been a freakshow for them spontaneous catches. He still isn't too good, but everyone in my school make this man a legend. It's hysterical to see absolute media whores bicker over a good player and escalating him to the position of God!

39 Walter Payton Walter Payton
40 John Elway John Elway John Albert Elway Jr. is a former American football quarterback and current executive vice president of football operations and general manager of the Denver Broncos of the National Football League.

Should be a lot lower. Had average stats his first 10 years because of Reeves' offense. Steve Watson called it the "Edsel System". He also said that Reeves focused more on protection than attacking a defense, and Elway's numbers suffered.
