61 Daughtry Daughtry Daughtry is an American rock band formed and fronted by namesake Chris Daughtry, who was a finalist on the fifth season of American Idol. Their self-titled debut album was released in November 2006.

one of the worst bands ever - how come Queen, Metallica and Led Zeppelin are on the list - best bands of all time - idolangelx13

Are Daughtry even rock? Most of the songs are just Kelly Clarkson-type songs (but sung from a male perspective) but engineered with loud rock guitars (their debut CD sounds too loud! ). What a sham.

62 Pearl Jam Pearl Jam Pearl Jam is a Grunge Rock Band formed in Seattle, Washington in 1990. The band had comprised of Eddie Vedder, Mike McCready, Stone Gossard and Jeff Ament. more.

This band is the definition of overrated. Their debut was 4/5 stars at most, and that's the only thing they have worth listening to. It's just the truth. - papervinnie

I don't think Pearl Jam is as good as people think. Their only good album, Ten, had a couple good ones on it. The rest of everything just isn't that good. I think the only one that is maybe a bit underrated is Mike McCready.

First of all, Ten is definitely NOT their only good album. It's their best, but apparently you haven't ventured past the mainstream stuff. Every song on Ten (except for Oceans) are some of the best songs of all time, but I see you're only judging the hits. Listen to more of their music and you'll see how painfully wrong you are. - Songsta41

Should be on number 1 of overrated bands. Can't stand the singers voice - ChatonNoir

Eh not really - christangrant

63 Plain White T's
64 Keane Keane Keane are an English rock band from Battle, East Sussex, formed in 1995. The group currently comprises Tim Rice-Oxley, Richard Hughes, Jesse Quin and Tom Chaplin.
65 Fall Out Boy Fall Out Boy Fall Out Boy is an American pop band formed in Wilmette, Illinois, a suburb of Chicago, in 2001. The band consists of vocalist and guitarist Patrick Stump, bassist Pete Wentz, guitarist Joe Trohman, and drummer Andy Hurley.

They're pretty overrated to be honest, I'm trying to like them but... I just can't

They need to be much higher on the list. They're not even rock, they're pop

I only like one song- My Songs Know What You Did in the Dark (Light Em Up).

I'm trying to understand their appeal. Still haven't found it. - naFrovivuS

66 Rammstein Rammstein Rammstein is a German Neue Deutsche Härte and Industrial Metal band consisting of Till Lindemann (vocals), Richard Kruspe (guitar), Paul Landers (guitar), Oliver Riedel (electric bass), Christoph Schneider (drums) and Christian Lorenz (keyboard), that formed in 1994 in Berlin . more.

Man, Rammstein isn't overrated, they are underrated. Why? Reasons :

- German language
-It's industrial metal
-Their guitarists are lazy - Disturbedpotato

67 Rise Against Rise Against Rise Against is an American hardcore punk band from Chicago, Illinois, formed in 1999. The band's current line-up comprises vocalist/rhythm guitarist Tim McIlrath, lead guitarist Zach Blair, bassist Joe Principe and drummer Brandon Barnes. They are known for popularizing punk.

Rise against should be no where near this list! They are not even close to being as popular as they should be!
Just because they have a ton of good songs doesn't mean they're overrated!

They aren't even good...

68 Limp Bizkit Limp Bizkit Limp Bizkit is an American nu metal band from Jacksonville, Florida, formed in 1994. Their lineup consists of Fred Durst, Sam Rivers, John Otto, and Wes Borland.

Might not be overrated because many people know they suck

So good... the highlight of the music who shaped me into who I am today.

69 Rush Rush Rush is a Canadian progressive rock band that was formed in 1968. Even though the only founding member still in the band is Alex Lifeson (Guitar), the band is most well-known for their current members Neil Peart (Drums) and Geddy Lee (Bass, Vocals). more.

Rush is not overrated at all. They're an immensely talented, groundbreaking band. Apart from a few misfires they've mostly put out excellent prog-rock, and their most recent album is one of their absolute best, highly admirable effort for a band over 40 years old.

I think that Rush is UNDERRATED, not overrated. They shouldn't be on this list.

Yeah, as musical artists they are underrated, but as a rock band they are totally overrated! - somekindofaguy

Rush is very overrated. U either like them or u hate them and I hate them

Geddy Lee - Unique singer
Alex Lifeson - Great guitarist
Neil Peart - Untouchable drummer
Not underrated, but not overrated either. - naFrovivuS

70 Disturbed Disturbed Disturbed is an American heavy metal band from Chicago, Illinois . The band comprises vocalist David Draiman, bassist John Moyer, guitarist Dan Donegan, and drummer Mike Wengren . They are known for songs like "Down With the Sickness" and "Stricken" .

Disturbed is not overrated. They should be more famous, listen songs like Inside The Fire and Stricken. - Disturbedpotato

Never even heard of them so they can't be overrated.

71 The Rolling Stones The Rolling Stones The Rolling Stones are an English rock band formed in London in 1962. The first settled line-up consisted of Brian Jones (guitar, harmonica), Ian Stewart (piano), Mick Jagger (lead vocals, harmonica), Keith Richards (guitar), Bill Wyman (bass) and Charlie Watts (drums). more.
72 Journey Journey Journey is an American rock band that formed in San Francisco in 1973, composed of former members of Santana and Frumious Bandersnatch.

While their music is good, I do not think they are amazing as everyone says. "Don't Stop Believin'" already sounds like a cliche song already.

Personally, I think they are one of the most overrated out of all the classic rock bands.

REMEMBER, Overrated, Not Worst.

Don't Stop Believing is really overrated. Faithfully and Stone in Love are both excellent, but Don't Stop Believing is so OVERRATED!

'Don't stop believing' is terribly overrated and it's not that good. But it's only one song so...

They are good but way to overrated for one song

More Pop sellout garbage - christangrant

They've become sellouts. - naFrovivuS

74 Black Veil Brides Black Veil Brides Black Veil Brides is an American rock band currently consisting of Andy Biersack (vocals), Jinxx (guitar), Jake Pitts (guitar), Christian Coma (drums) and Ashley Purdy (bass), that formed in 2006 in Ohio. more.

There is one girl in the band, and sadly, you can't tell which one it is.

Note to fans: stop forming your music tastes based on what Hot Topic advertises.

How is this so low on the list?! They're so overrated and the fans are annoying. They compare every single rock band to these... Idiots!

75 Buckcherry

Do they ever actually play anything or do they stand there trying to look badass on the rock movie channel?

76 Dir en grey Dir en grey DIR EN GREY is a Japanese metal band formed in 1997 and currently signed to Firewall Div., a sub-division of Free-Will.

there are so many annoying fangirls that are interested in looks and trends but without those bands who influenced them like D'ERLANGER, X-JAPAN, those fangirls should realize that this is not the only good band in japan - ronluna

Dir en grey? I wouldn't call them overrated. Just that some fans are annoying. And interested in their looks? That might have been about 10 years ago when they were VK but now they look like a normal metal band, none of them is especially attractive (not even when they were VK), and I appreciate that even not being attractive, people love them because hell, their music is awesome and shouldn't be based on looks. @ ronluna, I love X Japan and I like a few songs from D'erlanger, but DEG was not inspired by neither band. Kyo was inspired by Buck-Tick, so get your facts straight.

77 Oasis Oasis Oasis were an English rock band formed in Manchester in 1991. Developed from an earlier group, the Rain, the band originally consisted of Liam Gallagher (vocals and tambourine), Paul "Bonehead" Arthurs, Paul "Guigsy" McGuigan, and Tony McCarroll.

Ugh. If it wasn't for Wonderwall (an already annoying song), this band wouldn't be even included in this list. Why? Because no one would ever care. They're overrated, and yet, so irrelevant.

Boring songs, tried so hard to sound like the Beatles, didn't succeed in that. Yeah really overrated - ChatonNoir

Gotta be the biggest rip off band ever, they claimed to be the modern day Beatles, but really were a third rate Slade. Along with those other two bob British northen bands 'the stone roses' and primal scream. When the British music press starts to get a 'scene going' they champion any third rate chancer"s that starts acting up and drops there trousers for the camera. See Blur, manic street cleaners, pulp, the clash. The list is endless. Someone had to say it.

78 The Who The Who The Who is an English hard rock band formed in London, England in 1964 . The members are Roger Daltrey (lead singer), Pete Townshend (guitarist), John Entwistle (bassist), and Keith Moon (drums). The genres they were associated with happened to be rock, soft rock, hard rock, and soul rock. They are more.

The who is probably one of the most underrated rock bands far from overrated have any of you who voted even listened to a who song? good lyrics great drums great bass great guitar good voice All of the members were put on the greatest bassists, drummers, guitarists, and singers list of all time by rolling stones that must mean something

The who were totally unique and so exciting as a band. I think for creativeness they actually beat both the stones and the Beatles. They had a sick sense of humour, did powerful rock songs with great guitar riffs, they made bluesy stuff, epthey were inspired by Motown soul, they tried rock opera stuff... Very versatile and cool members and the worlds coolest drummer ever - ChatonNoir

The who is not overrated. Even if they are, they deserve all the credit they deserve and miles more. They practically invented the hard rock genre and were the biggest inspiration to classic rock today other than the Beatles.

Of all the classic rock bands their the least overrated.
techinical skill? check
great songwriting? check

no plagerism? check
rocking? double check - RecklessGreed

79 the gazzettE

those fangirls like to see a band with good looking members without the music. their music is good but they forgot other bands which introduced visual kei - ronluna

Not every The gazettE fan is like this. @ronluna, stop judging bands based on their fanbase. You're just like the X fans I hate: Put down other bands so their favorite band looks good. I love X Japan but they're not my favorite. There are tons of bands that aren't X Japan.

Also, there are other bands that founded VK, not just X Japan and D'erlanger. What about BUCK-TICK? What about Luna Sea?!
