Top Ten Most Overrated Simpsons Characters

The Top Ten

1 Krusty The Clown Krusty The Clown Krusty the Clown is a clown from The Simpsons. He first appears in the short Krusty the Clown, but in the show he first appears in The Telltale Head. He is Jewish. Despite the fact that he is children's entertainer, he seen drinking and smoking a lot.

Everyone says that Krusty is funny. These people are just easily amused. He really isn't funny; almost everything about his character is dull. They don't put much life in, even when he's grumpy. I always associate Krusty with lack of inspiration.

I'm sorry am I on Most Overrated Simpsons Characters or Most underrated Simpsons Characters, because I would have thought over rated characters would include Bart, Nelson, Sideshow Bob, Ralph Wiggum and Maggie

You forgot Homer, he's the most overrated character on the show. - KennyRulz244444

I hate Krusty so much. He just isn't funny! - PositronWildhawk

But the older episodes he was alright, the newer ones he's boring - RickyReeves

He is annoying drug addict - OneWayStreet

2 Moe Syzlak

Started being overused from season 9 onwards

The main reason why Moe and Krusty appear too often is because there are a number of situations where the writers need a basic character and so they appear too much.

I don't really think moe is overrated I just don't want krusty to be 1

Moe's great! How is he overrated? He's one of my favorites! - RickyReeves

3 Lisa Simpson Lisa Simpson Lisa Marie Simpson is a fictional character in the animated television series The Simpsons. She is the middle child and most intelligent of the Simpson family.

Lizard Queen...

She's hated more than she is liked, I don't think you people understand the definition of "overrated". - KennyRulz244444

4 Homer Simpson Homer Simpson Homer Jay Simpson is the protagonist of the American animated television series The Simpsons as the patriarch of the eponymous family.

Not A Fan of Homer Simpson or Other Simpson Characters in General

I Mean:Homer Simpson and Other Characters From Other Cartoons is Not My Favorite Character

Homer Simpson and Other Cartoon Characters is Not My Favorite Character

5 Milhouse van Houten Milhouse van Houten Milhouse Mussolini Van Houten is a fictional character in the animated television series The Simpsons, voiced by Pamela Hayden, and created by Matt Groening who named the character after President Richard Nixon's middle name.

Nelson is a better match for Lisa than Milhouse. Milhouse would be better off as single.

6 Ralph Wiggum Ralph Wiggum Ralph Wiggum is a side character in The Simpsons. He is the son of Chief Wiggum. Ralph is not very smart at all. He is voiced by Nancy Cartwright. Some episodes such as I Love Lisa and This Little Wiggy have him as a major character.

His last smart episodes "I love Lisa" just a kid who didn't have any friends and at the chili cook off when he told Homer that he was eating candle wax and then worried about Homer (When Homer was having the trip from the curry) and Otto said about knowing what he's doing.

The best Simpsons character ever. You take this back!...or not. Still, I'm shocked. - truckturner

He has been dumbed down season by season. But the Simpsons is still fine people are just bored and need to change the channel and watch the Seasons they enjoyed.

They're trying to make him funny but not doing well

The Contenders

11 Bart Simpson Bart Simpson Bartholomew JoJo "Bart" Simpson is the oldest child in The Simpsons. He was created by Matt Groening. His hobbies are pranking people including Lisa Simpson and Homer Simpson.

If he was that great, he wouldn't still be in primary/grade school for nearly 30 years. In all seriousness, I think he's a bit played out. - truckturner

He, Maggie, Lisa, and Marge are the only characters in this show that I can respect. - KennyRulz244444

He was fine as a foil for Homer in the early seasons, but "the act of taking a single (often minor) action or trait of a character within a work and exaggerating it more and more over time until it completely consumes the character" bears his name, and with good reason.

Killing Maude was pointless.

He was better when his wife was around- his REAL wife, not the one idiotic fans desperate to see him married again voted for.

Maybe not overrated, but definitely overused
